At this Kwik trip you can do the following: - take a shower - check your weight - get some fresh fruits - get some day-old deeply discounted brownies or select from a wide range of freshly baked desserts - get free samples (last time it was pizza, this time I got a strawberry smoothie sample) - select between 6 different veggie condiments to put on your hotdog - select between 6 soups/side dish options - make some photocopies for 25 cents - pick up alcohol - get a milkshake from a milkshake machine - select between 10+ options for tea, coffee, specialty drinks and get gas This is one of my favorite places to stop. The employees were friendly and I appreciated a place to get a hot cup of coffee. Hilariously I couldn't find basic coffee and real cream in their large coffee bar area. They had many, many varieties of flavored coffee and flavored and powdered creamers. I ended up cobbling together a hazelnut creamer with vanilla coffee and whip, but "simple" drip coffee with real cream seemed to be the one thing I couldn't locate.

And the prices are very reasonable. The bathrooms are clean and this chain is popular all over Wisconsin. They also sell some Fruits and veggies like garlic and tomatoes and bananas. The reason they don't get five stars is because for the food section there are not really any vegetarian options. This is very typical of the Midwest. Staff are friendly.

Recently Holiday opened up a new location in Cottage Grove and we have been coming here ever since. Now lets not get too crazy you might say as its just a gas station. Well, it may be a gas station, but not just a gas station. They have a nice car wash. Inside their car wash they actually have an employee that helps spray your car down when you go through the wash. Inside is your typical convenient store with some groceries, hot and cold drinks as well as hot and cold food. The one item that separates this Holiday from other locations in the area, is that they sell bait! Yes fisherman they have bait here! For those of us that used to stop at that place on 61 that closed a few years back, now we have a local place where we can get gas, snacks, drinks and bait! I can't tell you how nice this is as there are just not a lot of places besides the front or back yard, where an angler can get some bait. This is a nice bright and clean store and we will certainly be stopping here some more and every time before we go fishing!
