The employees were friendly and I appreciated a place to get a hot cup of coffee. Hilariously I couldn't find basic coffee and real cream in their large coffee bar area. They had many, many varieties of flavored coffee and flavored and powdered creamers. I ended up cobbling together a hazelnut creamer with vanilla coffee and whip, but "simple" drip coffee with real cream seemed to be the one thing I couldn't locate.

I was Very disappointed in the quality of the flowers and the display. Many of the flowers were broken or wilted. Some of the bouquets were stuffed so tight into the bins it was impossible to view them. If you are looking for fresh flowers, I'd pass on Festival. I understand that flowers are a secondary product, but it's clear the employees are not trained to make the most of them.

Relatively good gas prices with lots of pumps. The Kwik Trip diesel pumps are only for trucks, they don't have the nozzle for German diesel cars. If you just sang that ditty in your head like the Muppets, you're already in the right mood for a visit to the Menomonie Food Co-op Market. This market is as effortlessly fun and cool as Janice from Electric Mayhem, but with less trout pout and more lentil dip. "Fer sure!" Here are the highlights that you really don't want to miss! THE BREAD SITUATION: The artisanal rosemary sourdough loaf from One Love Bread is the stuff boy bands are made of. This bread is basically what happens if you roll Harry Styles in flour and water. It really deserves its own Manchester disco-dancing fan club, but for now I'll just sing its praises. DAIRY AND DAIRY ALTERNATIVES: I was totally NSYNC with this section. I'm not even sure what plants half of them came from, but they looked intriguing. Had I brought a cooler, my fridge would have undergone quite the calcium glow up! SODA ALTERNATIVES: This was the real Big Time Rush! We studied the sodas for a solid ten minutes like raccoons who'd discovered a vending machine. There are flavors and brands here I've never seen in the wild...some with names I can't pronounce (but absolutely bought)! The store was very clean and organized, and if the employees had been any friendlier, they'd have been covered in yellow feathers. In summary: great bread, fantastic selection, kind humans, and a soda aisle that deserves its own documentary. 5/5, will return. Probably for more bread. Definitely for more weird soda. Statler: "That was a long review!" Waldorf: "I wanted it to end five minutes ago! DOHOHOHO!" Ma Na Ma Nah.

My only complaint is that they put the sunny-side-up eggs underneath the biscuits and gravy. I didn't realize it at first, and once I cut into everything, the yolk started running all through the gravy. Some people might like that, but I'd rather have the eggs served on the side so everything stays separate. Other than that, the food was solid, the atmosphere was great, and I still cleaned the plate. I'd definitely come back--next time I'll just be more specific about how I want my eggs served.
