To my surprise, this might be my favorite grocery store I've been to! Love the layout and the sort of forced organized movement of shoppers, they have a massive amount of baked goods, deli picks, and prepared meals, a lot of items other stores don't carry for some reason (stuff I used to find VERY easily in most grocery stores), good prices, and a nice atmosphere of the older days. They also sell funny turkey hats sometimes for a marathon they do for charity.

He called me a liar right to my face, he said there was no way I just bought that cheese there a couple of days ago. I told him why would i lie? I told him about all 3 experiences.He didn't offer me anything, i think not only should I have been offered cottage.Cheese ricotta, cheese and mild cheddar cheese.But this should have to buy me a meal or something.Because I had to throw away those meals. Now when I go to festival foods, when I have to I look at every date of everything and always grab from the back.I find old stuff all the time and try to do most of my shopping at HyV. Relatively good gas prices with lots of pumps. The Kwik Trip diesel pumps are only for trucks, they don't have the nozzle for German diesel cars. Clean restrooms, they take debit for lotto, very short wait at registers no matter how busy. Better selection of road trip snacks than most gas stations. Sometimes Kwik Trip cashier exuberance can be a bit much, but I'm a curmudgeon.

They have lots of different Ellsworth cheese products, along with a bunch of other Wisconsin made items. We were on our way home from Thanksgiving in Minneapolis. The snow was coming down, and we decided to take a break and grab some lunch. Perfect timing to stop in at the creamery and try one of their famous grilled cheese curd sandwiches. It was noon and a few other people had the same idea. The several staff members we interacted with were all friendly and helpful. I got the sandwich and my wife got the Hot Chicken Tortilla soup. Both were very good. The bread was a thicker Texas toast and nicely grilled. The cheese curds had been melted, but you could still make out the curd shapes. There was a small amount of BBQ sauce that gave it a bit of a tangy flavor. I would have liked a bit more of that. Next time, I would like to get there earlier to check out the actual curd and cheese making process.
