This was a pretty large location, they had a fair variety of snacks and some hot dogs on the hot food roller. They had plenty of cold beverages on hand. Staff here was very friendly, this location is right by the highway for easy access and there's plenty of pumps.

I think it was already closed by 10pm when I stopped in for a snack last weekend. 2. Doesn't screen employees to determine if they know simple math. Ex. Starbucks double shot coffee was $2.79. Or 2 for $5.00. When I set the two coffees on the counter, plus a 1.00 bottled water, the adorably cute cashier rang them up, the total was $6.58. I informed her that they were 2 for $5. Rather than simply walk to the cooler she asked the other worker, I believe he must've been shift Mgr. He was unaware. But the two of them hmm' and hawed for a bit, and she was at a loss. He returned to his counting machine to help another customer. She pulled out a pen and paper, and bravely attempted to recall what she was taught in 3rd grade, but instead resorted to her phone. Two new impatient customers behind me were at least polite, but I'm certain they wanted to just pay and GTFO of the store. Again I informed her that the sign, actually visible from this spot. Stated 2.79 Fast forward to a few minutes later, I handed her $6 and 3 quarters, and said have a nice day, and she shouldn't bother following up on her application as a bank teller.

I'm posting most of them here: people getting locked inside, but mostly getting ripped off. Some are just posts of support. I posted my review, though here: 68 Comments Share Sorry this happened to you I hope you get your money back! I've put money in to use the vacuum and it never turned on and they refused to give me money back and said that it wasn't there's as well. I get gas there often as it's convenient where I live however I do try to avoid it. Bad customer service, always on phone, no manners, they open and close whenever they feel like it and yes that car wash has been down and not usable for as long as I've lived over here...I believe they have it posted at gas pumps that it's not in use but they definitely should have a sign posted over where it takes your money and a sign over there so this is avoided.* Midvale HeightsJamie Schultz 10 Dec 1 I've avoided that place for a long time. The employees are inattentive and surly, and card skimmers have been found on their pumps more than once...* Glen Oak HillsTom Van Horn 10 Dec Apparently, that place hasn't changed much in the 40-some years since I quit going there. The woman operating it was trying to move my outside mirrors to fit into the wash bay. The Jeep I was driving wasn't made to accommodate what she was trying to do. I told her to stop, and she got agitated and sucker-punched me in the head, knocking my glasses off. Definitely not a customer-friendly type of place, as I explained in my letter to Shell or whatever company was branded there at the time. If I had to guess, I'd say she was long gone, having died from her own bad attitude and meanness.* The Highlandsrod shaughnessy 10 Dec Agree Reply Share 6 See 1 previous reply Mary Ann Swissler You know, the way things are today, I would do it in a heartbeat. Back then, I just got on with the day, and had a laugh about it with my Wife when I got her unwashed car back to her. The gas station lady was over-the-top loony, and maybe still a little loaded from the Friday night before. In those days I doubt the police anywhere in the country would have given it a second thought. Today, we would give more attention to this kind of thing, perhaps by charging her with an assault and require some kind of treatment as a probation condition. This happened in the mid-'70s. I'd almost forgot about it until reading the original post. I can't remember whether the company responded or not, and I don't think it was Mobil at the time. Shell comes to mind, but this was more than a bit ago. I used to keep copies of letters back then, but our home burned in 1979 and we lost most of our correspondence from those days and before.* The Highlandsrod shaughnessy 10 Dec Like Reply Share 2 Around five-six years ago, nearly the exact same thing happened to me at that Mobil Station. They blamed the carwash for not working due to the cold weather. As in your case, the machine took my money and there was no indication that the carwash not working.* Hill Farms - UniversityAndrew Kessler 10 Dec Wow Reply Share 4 Me too!!!! Thank you for the heads up* Hid If you have the time I highly recommend the mermaid car wash on Odana. I think it's around $11 and they vacuum and do your windows too. All sorts of different wash options as well depending on wh I was there Wednesday (8 Dec) and the pump asked if I wanted a car wash. One would think if they know the wash to be down, yet advertise it (offering to sell a service they know they cannot honor) then it be a fraudulent misrepresentation per State of Wisconsin D i had a similar experience a few years ago, and the exit door wouldn't open. i was closed up in that little box with no response to honking my horn. i ended up calling 911 and had firemen come to my aid. the exit door would not open for them either. my car had to be backed out full of suds. the woman on duty did not want to give me my money back because she didn't like my attitude. mobil lost a regular customer as i have never returned for gasoline or a car wash.* Midvale Heightsbarbara meyer 10 Dec Like Reply Share 3 I was there Wednesday (8 Dec) and the pump asked if I wanted a car wash. Funny how someone mentioned "they're always on the phone" as the guy behind the counter WAS on the phone and couldn't bother to say a word to me. There's a car wash and free air if you need either, and it's part of the Kelley's Market chain, which tends to have a decent selection and be kept up fairly well. I wouldn't drive out of my way for it, but they don't have a ton of competition in the area so you're likely to find yourself there one way or another if you're on that end of Watts.

However I had avoided this place for about a week when I had come in last Tuesday and the woman charged me $1.47 ( which I understand is the correct price) however all summer long I was charged $1.26! When I asked the blonde woman about it she gave me an attitude and rolled her eyes. I came back this morning to try again to see what her attitude was like. Again she was EXTREMELY rude. When I start my day this is not something I want to deal with! I asked her if they had all come to a conclusion as to what they were going to charge me. She mummbled something under her breath and shot my total at me. I work in a stressful health field job taking care of sick hopeless children everyday and this is not how I like to start my day. I will choose to go out of my way from now on to avoid this woman who is so negative! I hope that someone from cooperate reads this or a manager. This woman should not be working with the public. I will no longer come to this store for gas or anything else.
