My daughter bought me a $35 Amazon gift card from Woodman's for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, the card was accidentally thrown away because it was still inside the envelope. The very next day, when I went to add the gift card to my Amazon account, we realized the envelope was gone. My daughter contacted Woodman's and was told to contact Amazon. Amazon said they could not help without the gift card serial number, which was not printed on the receipt, and told us to go back to Woodman's. I then called Woodman's with the original receipt and asked if they could help locate the serial number or provide any assistance. They refused to help, even after the issue was escalated to the corporate level. Update: After writing the review, someone from Woodman's did help us out. We appreciate the help. If the people at the store and corporate were as nice, I would have given an excellent experience. I enjoy the variety that Woodman's carries. I realized I did not have my Pick N Save rewards card which I have had for probably 20 years. That's likely 3 or 4 telephone numbers ago. So I get to the check out and ask the clerk if she could swipe a reward card for me because I sadly did not have mine this morning and could not remember which stupid phone number I had when I signed up for one. She said no she would not do that. Mind you she had every coupon sitting there that was in the weekly ad for people who did not have the coupons but would not swipe a pick n save card. I miss small town grocery store customer service. That is all. That one swipe would have saved me $10.00. Not going to break the bank but would have shown they valued me as a customer, especially since their competition Stoneridge left town. After checking out the bagger handed me the form to fill out for a rewards card to which I politely said I do not need that. I have one. I just did not have it with me today unfortunately People will pay a little more to shop at small businesses (not sure P&S qualifies as a small business but compared to Walmart I think it might). I will every time. But not if the customer service is equal to that of the big box stores or Amazon. I may as well save the money by going there.

I haven't been there in a while, so I decided to buy a 4-pack of their Royal Wash service. The first one was great. I decided to bring my other car in the next day. I drove 30+ minutes to get there only to be greeted by a "Car wash Closed" sign. So, I called and Rod answered. He told me the car wash is closed due to bad weather. It's not even sprinkling out. It's barely "misting". I explained that I had just driven 30+ minutes and everywhere online still says they are "open" and nowhere on their site did it say they close whenever it's even misting outside. He didn't care one bit. I would have been frustrated, but would have taken it a little easier if his attitude was better. He didn't apologize, he had a "yep, we're closed, deal with it" attitude. Then he hung up on me. I called back and told him I didn't appreciate getting hung up on, and he continued with his attitude and kept repeating in a monotone/condescending voice, "how can I help you, sir?". I will be contacting the owners to get a refund on these prepaid washes. What good are they if you can't use them? If they don't refund me, I'll have to submit a chargeback on my credit card. Unless they make things right with me, I will not be going back. Rod single-handedly killed a once loyal customer. --- Update: Melissa, one of the owners of Clear Water called me and made everything right. She apologized and was open to other feedback. She also offered to send me a gift card for the troubles. Although it shouldn't have happened in the first place, they responded very professionally, and I will definitely be giving them another shot. I get home 25 minutes away, open the hatch and the back wasn't even vacuumed, back seat wasn't wiped down. I can be understanding if it was real busy but it wasn't. That means that the people who checked me in and are supposed to do the vacuuming and the people who dry the car and wash the interior windows missed it too. When you pay over $30 for a wash you expect better and I should be able to have confidence it would be done correctly. Almost all the workers were kids maybe there needs to be more supervision. Maybe I'll have to start going to PDQ.
