I want to thank 2 men that help me when no one else would. I went to discount tire next door and No one acknowledged me. Not a hello we will be right with you NOTHING. After 15 min I figured let me go I'm on lunch and I'll be late. As I'm leaving I see next door Kwik Kar so I stopped. 2 gentlemen approached me immediately asked if they could help me. I said well I just need my spare changed and put in place of this tire looks like I'm loosing air. Don't have to get it fixed now. He said we don't fix tires but we can definitely put the spare on. They did in less than 20 minutes and they refused my money. You all have a customer for life. Thank you so much. read more

On June 17th around 4:15 PM I visited the Kwik Kar on 8716 Ohio Drive, Plano, Tx. 75024 to get an oil change for my new truck. A representative finally approached me after a long wait and I explained that I wanted to get an oil change. This was my first visit at this Kwik Kar location nor was I familiar with their business practices. After he took possession of my keys (I was told only employees are allowed to drive vehicles into the work bays), he drove my car into the an open bay, and instructed me to wait for him at the customer waiting area. A few minutes later he showed up and said the cost of the oil change will be $235. With no hesitation, I let him know that I thought that price was too high and I would just go to somewhere else or to my dealership instead. He then stepped out into the work area and came back 5 minutes later and said "Well.. we already drained the oil from your truck. So you are going have to pay to change the oil". Surprised to hear this..I asked why didn't he let me the know the price or what type of work was being done on my vehicle? How did he know what I wanted done to my vehicle? I explained again, no one asked me to sign a work order, asked for my information, nor was any one authorized to do any work. I then asked to speak the manager. Before he left, he said that I should have known what that a truck's oil cost was. I let him know that I just purchased this new truck and I have been going to my dealership and those prices were much lower. He then went outside the waiting area and got the manager. The manager, Dennis Kahanek (this was the only card on display at the front counter and I am assuming this was the name of the person I spoke with as he did not have a visible name tag on his shirt), informed me in a very aggressive manner that at his store, once I gave his employees my keys to the vehicle, that meant I approved the prices and work. I explained that I didn't have a choice but to give his employee my keys to drive the vehicle into the bay. I asked him, why was I not informed of the details of the work and the price. Again, I asked..Is it not your common business practice to let customers know what type of services, costs, and details of the work being done prior to any work starting? I explained that none of this was communicated before they started to work on my truck. He then said, I should know better and "..I should have called around to see what market prices were before you came in here..." He then in a very loud and aggressive manner in front of 3 or 4 customers in the waiting area said that if I didn't want to do an oil change at his store, that he would just push my truck out of the bay (with no oil in the engine) out to the street and I could get it towed and go somewhere else. He then said, "that's how I roll bro..I don't play that game.." and started to walk towards the side door in to the shop area. In a very calm and respectful manner, I asked Mr. Kahanek again that I wanted to speak to another manager or the owner, please? I asked why was he showing such an aggressive manner and why he was treating a new customer this way? He said he didn't have the owners information and that the owner never comes in. He said that he has been manager of the shop for the last 4 years. He then told me " I am done talking to you bro.. and I don't have time for this..youre gonna have a bad day" and walked in the work area cutting our conversation off. I decided It just wasn't worth me missing an important meeting and went back into the bay area and offered to just go ahead and pay and accept the high oil change price in front of the all the other employees and Mr. Kahanek. He then said, "..do you have any cash? ..you know bro..cash to pay for the work?". I told him I don't carry $235 in cash and will gladly pay with a credit card for the services. He now said that he would not take a credit card from me. Then Mr. Kahanek said an angry voice and said, " I changed my mind bro and I am not doing any work on your truck. It was at this time where I decided this was too stressful for me and I called the Plano police for help. I explained to the 911 operator what had happened and I felt threatened by the 5 employee's actions and words. I was instructed to stay away from the shop while they were in route. Once the police showed up and listened to both sides, they immediately instructed Mr. Kahanek to finish the work. My opinion is that Mr. Kahanek does not have supervision or anyone to question his tactics or business acumen. He doesn't respect his customers and that has empowered his employees to do the same. Plus, you don't refer to your clients as "Bro" especially people of color, like me. I believe he is running the shop to fleece customers by forcing these situations and some/if not all of the employees are in on the scam. They aren't the cheapest on the block but they are quick and don't try to pressure sell on all of the extras. I appreciate that a lot. read more

Horrible do not come here. Last time I came they were all about customer service. I tried to use the Kwik car coupon showing them it on my phone like last time and they said no. I explained how they were so great last time so couldn't understand the change. I explained it must be an error and I asked for a number to call the gm or manager and they would not give me one. I asked if I could email the coupon and they could print and they said no. They said Jason the owner doesn't allow coupons. They made it sound like he was a tyrant. I was on my lunch break and passed brakes plus, Firestone, and Walmart to get here due to my last awesome experience. I did get the service due to time restraint but I will never come back. They refused to do the right thing and basically stole $5 dollars from me. I know it us not much but it is still my money I worked for. read more

New ownership. Took my Mustang GT in for transmission fluid change. Did it quickly and they even let me watch. Then took my Nissan Frontier in for oil change. Quick and efficient. Taking my Nissan back this week for front brake job. Guys were very nice each time I was there. read more

One of the worst services I ever had. This is a group of people who seem only to care about themselves. They have no concept of customer service and try to bully you into extra things. originally brought my car here because my coolant temp got too high and car started to overheat. These guys ran diagnostics and couldn't find what was causing the problem. They topped it with coolant and test drive for coolant leak. They said everything was fine and charged me 260 for all the "work" they did. After paying, they told me if I have any more problems that I could bring it back and theyd fix it for free. About two days later I start seeing the same message I originally got about my coolant temp being too high. I didn't have time to bring it back right away so made it work for a couple days until I had time to be without a car. They run diagnostics again and find what's actually Wrong with my car. It needs a new mass flow air censor, after searching the part online it says Nissan charges 254 for it but they asked for 330 for the part. I understand every place has a mark up but they just charged me a pointless 260 and still expected me to pay a mark up and labor fee for something they could have found the first time I went. Even better, after buying the part and bringing to them (aren't they supposed to do that) I told them I had some errands to run and to please leave keys in car once they're done which they said no problem too. I get here to pick up my car and the fucking door is locked. Overall terrible will never even get my car looked at in frisco again. this shit is ridiculous . now I'm with out a car for the rest of the weekend because they're closed on sundays. Went to Kwik Kar yesterday with my elderly neighbor to get her car inspected. We were met at the bay door by a courteous guy. She told him what she needed. I gave him the keys and he took it from there. 10 minutes later, it was done and ready to go. I liked that it was quick and there was no trying to add on services. They were also very respectful. Came in to Kwik kar today it was quite busy had maybe 7 cars including mine was 8.came in for an inspection and oil change and a/c service and a brake flush and a air filter I was out in 35 mins. Went about 11:15am, and it was very Kwik! In and out in about 15 minutes, but did cost around $50 for the basic oil change.

Waited 20 mins for an inspection and handed my keys to the manager. After the first 20 mins elapsed, another customer walked in and immediately received service. I asked why I was skipped and did NOT receive an apology and was told by the manager I handed my keys to that he wasn't aware I was waiting. read more

Took my car in for a oil change was refreshing to be greeted professionally and promptly; as I was escorted to the waiting area I was briefly explained on what would happen with my vehicle. The coffee was hot and plentiful as was the reading material, I was almost worried when the technician came to address me about my vehicle again , but relieved when he assured me my vehicle was in great condition and that it only be bout 15min before it was ready. The 3rd time the technician came to speak about my car was to ring me up and hand me my keys; happy and amazed I walked in and out in just under 25mins knowing it's was fast service with great quality. Very bad service. They damaged my car by stripping the oil pan plug, forcing me to spend up to $500 for a new oil pan. They put the wrong oil in the car after being a customer for several years. They failed an inspection that another service shop passed. read more

This location did not put my drain plug in properly or the filter. Both were leaking. Our dealer corrected the issue by completing a new oil change. The employee at the location told me that he was not authorized to give me a refund and acted like it was my fault because I did not bring it back to them to correct. I have emailed the owner "Sunny" and left him two voice mails and he refuses to call me back or respond. Go somewhere else. This place does not care about quality or customers. read more

I had my oil changed on the 25th of Feb and started back to Colorado on March 1st because of the crap windshield washer fluid they put in when them topped the reservoir off my windshield washers froze up after I passed Wichita Falls and I had to drive another 10 hours in off and on snow without being able to clean my windshield. I had to buy a jug of fluid and stop whenever the windshield got too bad and pour the fluid on to clean off the windshield. thanks a lot. next time ask before you put that crap in someone's vehicle that is heading back to a cold area. read more

Oil change today 11-24-16. Could tell didn't do everything on checklist . Didn't refill window washer fluid, didn't wash front windshield and poorly vacuumed front. Not big deal since can clean my own car but it is on receipt as done. Also on receipt that cabin filter needs replaced but I already did that recently . This is an extremely horrible place! I went with my little daughter for state inspection, we checked in and then waited there from 3:40pm until 5:35pm, all people in waiting room were gone one by one and they shut the front door at around 4:50pm. It is ridiculous that nobody was working in state inspection area since about 4pm and they left my car and us alone. My daughter lost patient and I went to ask the manager when my car would be ready, he kind of forgot us and asked me what was my car and where it was, then he lied to me his computer was down, I believe he is liar because I saw they were inspecting cars when I was waiting. At this moment my daughter completely lost patient and she wanted to go home, I blamed her, then terrible thing happened, the manager yelled at me to go out or he would call police right away. I used to be a Kwik Kar fan... after my experience with this location, I'll never visit another one. I initially came in for an oil change; service was quick, and they told me I needed my transmission fluid drained, AC serviced, and brake fluid changed. As I just had bought 4 new tires, I waited on the brakes and AC, but told them to go ahead with the transmission. No problems. Fast forward two weeks, and I visit another location to get the AC and brakes done. The only problem was that the new location told me that 1) there was nothing wrong with my AC or brake fluid and 2) my transmission fluid needed to be drained. I called the original location (Ohio & 121) to ask them to double check. Everything was fine until I actually showed up to have my car checked. As soon as I explained the situation (not yelling, swearing, or demanding anything for free), both the mechanic and the manager had a complete attitude change. They started patronizing me and basically accused me of lying or misunderstanding. They would not let up on me until I started crying in the garage; the manager was completely rude and very sarcastically said "let's just change it then." They also confirmed that the initial AC and brake repairs they told me I needed were not actually needed. I am certain a male customer would not be treated this way. I think I'm well within my rights to ask them to check the initial repair if another shop told me a completely different story. I felt extremely discriminated against and intimidated as a younger female. I have no reason to lie; I don't want to spend my free time waiting for auto repairs, and I don't believe in not paying for services I receive. Even though their attitudes changed after they could tell I felt taken advantage of, I'll never go back. No one deserves to be treated with the initial disrespect and skepticism I received. I can't even report the incident because this location does not appear to list any contact info (other than the manager) online. If you are a female going alone, DO NOT go to this location. read more
