Payment was simple cash or bank transfer. Even offering to come to my work if it was easier to collect payment. The work was a high standard with great tyres. Wheels are well balanced. I contacted sean at 7pm not expecting a reply, to recieve a reply very quickly and even better offering next morning fitting. Kwik fit wont do that for you unless you go in and then pay more. I will use again and would advise anyone needing tyres to try Sean at pit stop. Thanks for the tyres fast service and no pressure sales.

After a bit of back and forthing, it turned out I didn't need one and he just fixed my puncture- oh surprise! I've only dealt with Kwik Fit once, but after the experience, I won't be going back…read more Earlier this week my boyfriend noticed his brakes acting a bit funny and he expected that the winter grit was clogging them up. So, he swung his car into the nearest mechanic and went on his way. They phoned him once, saying that the brakes needed this that and the other thing, and oh did he want a full service while he was there? He agreed, and away they went. When we picked up the car we were greeted by the manager who mentioned that they'd had to jump the car to get it started. They what? He said that there was an issue with the alternator. There was? Since when? He reported that the battery wasn't charging properly because of this and the car might not turn on again without a jump. What??? When my guy dropped his car off, the only issue was with the brakes. All of a sudden it's being reported that there is a major electrical fault which, by the way, is going to cost about £250 to fix. We had places to be and were confident that there couldn't really be a problem because we'd had absolutely no problems with the alternator before taking it to Kwik Fit, so we took the car and headed on our way. Five minutes later the car started ticking, then all of the lights on the dashboard went off. We pulled the car over to check it out, turned it off, and were never able to turn it back on. We have since been told that the alternator really can go at any time. It's a tough one though, because mechanics have a bad reputation and as such it is very hard not to wonder at the amazing timing of the whole thing. The alternator was perfectly fine and the battery light was off before taking it in. Upon picking it up, the whole thing's screwed and needs an overhaul? What? Beyond that, under the assumption that this was indeed a problem from the start, the question put to us by the roadside assistance guy was - why on earth did they do all of the fiddly little additions to the service, and not even mention the alternator until we arrived to pick up the car? We were told that this should absolutely have been dealt with before anything else. So, the car has now been taken to a different mechanic who is miles away, but our view is that anyone is better than Kwik Fit.

The actual replacement of my tire took less than 15 minutes and the tire was very well priced. What could have been an stressful experience turned out to be a non-issue. Baileyfield were the recovery company that got my car started. they didn't promote their own…read moregarage but after checking around, i took my car into them to see if they could diagnose the fault and repair it. They were far cheaper than the local Ford dealer, were able to work on it quicker than the Ford dealer and another local garage and were incredibly helpful and informative. I'll be using them from now on.

In the past I have hated going to garages as being a woman I felt I was being told a lot of crap because I knew nothing about cars. This time I was surprised and I had a female who dealt with the tire. Today I thought I had a slow puncture so I went to them again. I was dealt with by John the manager whom was very friendly and professional. He got someone to deal with it and he showed was the problem was and it wasn't a puncture so they fixed it. I can honestly say as a woman I feel happy going there because I was treated with respect. Maybe it's a generation thing as the staff are a different generation and some of the older generation in the past can and have been sexist not to mention condescending! Guess I will continue to deal with them as and when.

It's just like those foam parties you see in Ibiza etc, really messy and enticing!! When I did manage to go in, I got nothing but top class service. All the men were smiling, they were having a laugh, it was an all round enjoyable experience. The price is good too, not too expensive and at the end of the day you're getting a hand-washed car and a smile to boot. What more could you want from a valet service?!
