It was a great show with good music. The atmosphere was electric. The AC appeared to be broken which was unfortunate given the current heatwave. I was even more impressed with the performers performing in such humidity and heat. Though the performance was great, the quality of the food was unforgivably bad. I ordered the chicken and waffle. The fried chicken was good but I definitely had the worst waffle of my life. Even eggo waffles are a million times better. The waffle was flat without shape, bitter and burnt. I am still shocked that a restaurant thought they could serve waffles like that ever. The three of us ordered the same plate and none of us took more than a tiny bite. I would recommend coming for the show but please skip the waffle dish at all cost.

Wonderful Drag brunch. Food was good. The show is wonderful. I went for my birthday with my family and had a great time. Highly recommend.

Did drag brunch and it was SO fun! It's a bottomless brunch so expect less from the food and drink but it's exactly what Astoria needs - an extra dash of gay. The performances were 5/5 I couldn't believe how good it was. The wait staff was friendly and attentive despite us sitting in the back away from the action. Really looking forward to coming back here soon! Wishing Kween all the success and appreciate that they're supporting the gay culture in the Astoria. If you sit in the back there's a TV to help you see what's going on in the front in case you're missing it but the performers (10/10 job Freeda Kulo!!!) made sure they made their rounds through the bar and spread the love. My friends who came with me said they didn't expect to be so entertained and really enjoyed it!

This place is a REALLY good time! The Kweens are so entertaining. They're funny, and great dancers. On my visit they actually entertained the full two hours we were there. They go hard and even bring the entertainment onto the sidewalk. Excellent work there! The venue itself is fairly narrow. We had a group of 20+ people and basically took up two thirds of the restaurant. It's all good though there was still a bit of space in terms of tables and the bar for walkins. Looking around at the walls, nooks and crannies, they did a good job of accessorizing the design elements. The Kween Throne by the bathrooms was a big hit! Meanwhile, I see some of the reviewers didn't like the food. I saw no issue with it. Actually, I thought the empanadas were great! I had the burger but I made the tactical error of eating too many chips with the guac appetizer. So I bagged half of the burger to go. Bottomless Brunch is always the go and I had an entire pitcher of bellini for myself since the rest of my section went with mimosas (tactical initiative regained). At this point, you're probably wondering where I pulled the stars from. Here's the deal: We were celebrating two (2) "birthday girls." One of them was in my section, at my table. No orders or drinks (including water) arrived at our table for 40+ minutes. The service timing varied very widely from table to table, within our 20 person section. Whether it was a large group or multiple small groups, the service needed to be more smooth and based off of who was seated first, etc. When you're hangry, 40 mins. is an eternity. In addition, our reservation was scheduled months in advance. They should've been ready with a strategy to cover the service for our section. Still, you should go if ever you get the chance! Consider keeping a snickers bar in your pocket if you have a similar delay in your initial food order.

    Mayo anyone?

I so badly wanted to give a better review. The drag show was great and the queens gave 110%. I really enjoyed the experience despite the venue itself. Those queens got a big tip. They worked hard and they carry all the weight. The food was not good. I ordered the chilaquiles. It was bad. Basically nachos with no seasoning and no spice. Chilaquiles should be soggy and flavorful. Sauced! We had to ask for a sauce and after a long wait were given Cholula. It helped. But really ? Cholula? My husband ordered a chicken sandwich and he couldn't even eat the bun because of the heavy mayo application. He always eats the buns [sic]. The mimosas were off. Cheep champ with cheaper OJ. If you order bottomless, you stop caring after 3 glasses. Service was cute but slow. We got an initial flirtation and some attention but were then left on our own (and had to try our luck with the queens). The food and service alone would be a 1 or 1.5. Drag show boost this greatly. Thanks queens. Cooks: use salt.

I took my friend here for her first drag show and I was highly impressed, the bar is a little small but the Drag Queens make it WORKKKKK! Our servers were beyond amazing and attentive during the brunch and the food was amazing aswell I can't wait to bring more people to this spot!

This place was smaller that I thought, however, it was clean, it was colorful & fun! Went there for a birthday brunch and I was not disappointed!! The entertainment was super fun and enjoyed myself, the food came pretty quickly considering we were a party of 12!! Our waiters were super nice and friendly. This is LGBTQ+ friendly , so everyone welcomed! The appetizers were tasty specially the guacamole, the arepas were not my favorite but I think that's just a matter of preference. My main dish was delish! I had the egg benedict and it was perfect! The steak was also super tasty ,the prices were reasonable and overall it was a great place. Finding parking was a bit hectic so that's the only downside. Will deff be coming back!

Came here the Thursday before Manhattans pride and was super excited. There was a 2 for one special. I was beyond happy they had this cool instagram ready photo shoot area. I'm loving that the owner prides his baby dog in tons of photos. I also found out they have drag brunches I need to check that out. The service was absolutely amazing and a judgement free zone. I love these types of bars. The music was like throwback I think because it was a Thursday. I was having tons of fun. I'm definitely coming back here for brunch one night. Love my LGBTTQIA+ community you rock. Also their calamari was on point! Yassss Queen!

Had a great time at drag brunch, the staff was accommodating and so attentive. Food was great the only thing I didn't like was the calamari the texture was a little off. Everything else was delicious . Would def return for the show the general ambiance was high energy everyone came to have a good time. The place is a bit small but comfy.

I went for brunch with a few friends on a Saturday at 3pm. My friend who coordinated the brunch told us to bring singles, and I wasn't sure why, but it was for a drag show. It definitely was unlike any other brunches in the past and was a lot of fun (mature audiences). Moreover, I had the chicken and waffles, I forgot to take a picture of it, but it was good. It came with sweet butter and syrup which was too sweet for me but my friends said they liked it. We also shared the salad which was good but not too filling. I'll definitely visit again and highly recommend for a fun time

This is by far my favorite drag brunch from start to finish. From the beautiful interior to the little touches. This is a pink paradise! I have never felt more welcome or a part of the family when going to a restaurant. The business deserves all of its flowers! The owners were in attendance and are some of the most gracious people. Without spoiling the show there were flips, splits, and tricks galore. The food was exceptional. Latin flavor and a new take on a tres leches cake!!! Delicioso!!! Frieda and Bianca were the hostesses with the mostess! Don't forget the chair in the back KWEENS!!!!

The biggest question then became, where to go? We needed a place that was relatively easy to get to that would hold close to 100 people. Jungly was a contender for several reasons - it's location, size, vibe, and menu all seemed to check off. It also helped that I had done business with the owner previously at one of his other spots. It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. I would definitely consider hosting another event there, or dine here on my own.

The bartender, the one person who should be welcoming and engaging, came across as rude and lacked any charisma. On a Friday night, good energy behind the bar makes a huge difference, and that was completely missing. I ordered a margarita, which is one of the simplest and most common cocktails to make. I asked for it really sweet with plenty of salt on the rim. Instead, it came out barely sweet and with almost no salt. For a $17 margarita, I expected much better. I've had to return the drink because I've had better margaritas for $12 at other places. While waiting for my friend, I had to wait with a glass of water because I didn't trust the way they made the drink. The bartender told me I either needed to order another drink or move, which felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. To be fair, the food was good and the space itself is nice. However, the bar service left a very poor impression. There are plenty of more affordable places where the staff are friendly and make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. Give this place a 6.5
