Tom sold our house after another agent had 6 months and couldn't get the job done!…read moreBy that time, we had moved all our furniture to our new house in Las Vegas & I had real concerns about an empty house and being over 2600 miles away, but, Tom put our mind at ease and all required documents were completed without our having to travel back to Newtown Square. There was also an issue with the title insurance that Tom & his team had not caused, however, it did hold up a great deal of money which was put in escrow. Tom's team (esp. Cheryl Vaughn and Wendy Friedland) went to a lot of work to resolve the issue and keep me informed & I really appreciate the effort they put forth. There is a much more minor issue still waiting for the township to act on, but I'm sure they'll resolve that, as well I believe that Tom handled a rather complicated bit of negotiations in a professional manner with our interests in mind at all times & I am cynical enough to believe RE agents don't always do that. This is an example of how unprofessional most of his emails were, "U need to drop the price to something lower and pray someone else comes along willing to pay the $$ u turned down." I would not hire him ever again for any service. He can not properly use the on-line listing systems, his listing do not show up on Trulia, Zillow etc, and he can NOT take decent pictures either. I had to take the pictures myself. He used profanity in his emails and also sent me a message recently on yelp full of profanity threatening me to remove this review. unbelievable.... I now see a 5 star review by a gentleman, who has bought/sold six properties over eight years. I'll say that if you are in the business of real estate and buy/sell so many properties, then Tom might be OK, as the experienced buyer/seller will not be intimidated by Tom, but if you buy/sell few times in a lifetime then stay away from Tom and his intimidation tactics... dealing with him reminded me of Sopranos language.

I have to say that I was EXTREMELY disappointed with how this sale was run and with the professionalism of the staff. The items in the house were great and there were some beautiful things available.....I have no complaint about that. However, the woman running the sale (mid-aged, shoulder length dark hair) seemed like she should have stayed home in bed.....on BOTH days. She was impolite, very short with people asking general questions and completely inflexible with people trying to make deals. It's natural to try and bargain a little bit at a sale and she was acting like people were completely out of line for even asking. I can understand on the first day of the sale if they don't want to drop prices at all.....completely valid. But on the last day of a sale, in the last hour, if someone is trying to knock a few dollars off something (as long as it's not vintage or an expensive collectors item) then go ahead and have some good customer service and make people happy. A couple bucks on the last day won't kill anybody. This is a house sale, not a retail store! These people need to keep in mind that this is supposed to be FUN. People go to estate sales to procure interesting finds, get a great deal, do a little friendly bargaining/haggling and leave happy, feeling like you got an awesome, one of a kind piece. Not here. The staff, specifically the woman running the sale, completely ruined the experience for me. I left in a bad mood both times. I won't be back to an estate sale hosted by this company again. I hope that someone from the company reads this and changes their attitudes.

Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was laid out beautifully and it was a pleasure to browse. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon; a lovely atmosphere and enjoyable banter with the friendly staff. I agree that it's not a retail store, which is why the items are already deeply discounted compared to what you would pay in a retail store! These are good quality items and I paid pennies on the dollar for the pieces I bought. I left the sale happy and will be back for more. Thanks guys - it's the only way to shop! .
