What surprised me the most is that she was actually able to get me to a beautiful blonde in this first session. I had previously been told by other stylists that going blonde would take several sessions and that I would probably have to start with a light brown before I could even get close to blonde. I completely understood that maintaining the health of my hair might mean taking things slowly, so I was prepared for that which made seeing my final result even more exciting! She managed to make such a huge transformation while still prioritizing the integrity of my hair, and that was extremely important to me. The color came out even better than I expected, my hair still has its length and feels healthy, and I finally feel like I'm on my way to the blonde I wanted. Just got my haircut and it looks fresh !!!! I've been coming to this place for years now and can't stop coming here.... there prices are ridiculously good and man do they have product selecting and most importantly alll around there prices are the best I have ever seen or heard of. I can't stop coming here and will never stop !!! They have 20 stylist to choose from I believe so if u don't like one then U can easily switch it up no problem and no questions asked. I personally use the gentleman republic hair product but there like 100. Rands to choose from and if u find the product cheaper they actually price match anyone from any platform pricing. I come her every two weeks and I have had a bad haircut yet so .... forget about Supercuts or any other barber shop ! This place is always killing it! Don't ever sit with Sylvia. Ever. I have been a customer here for almost 10 years. As of today, I'm never going back. Went in today to get a trim on the sides (a 3) and a trim at the top since I have a top knot. As of today as well, I don't have a top knot anymore. It took me 6 months to get to the length I had and even after explaining multiple times what I wanted, Sylvia still decided to do what she wanted and cut off most of my top knot. I didn't realize it because she was cutting by bits at a time and ended up chopping off 5 inches of hair on the place where I WANTED to let it grow. She did such a bad job in fact, that now I can't slick my hair back, I can't comb it to the side because it is ridiculously uneven and the only option left of cutting it more. Why employ people who don't understand what you say and cannot do their job right? Thank you Sylvia! read more

I wanted to change up my look and Edith S. Definitely helped me do that. I am not a person who takes care of myself or my hair but I'm learning to. I'm not good at it but I am trying. Thankfully we can go to the salon now. :-) The earliest picture is of the back of my head. That was right after she finished it. The latest picture is the one of me puckering my lips. I walked in the other day to get my gel as usual and decided to get quick hair cut. Was able to get seen by one of the ladies. Not bad for last min and new. I been coming here for so long, saw the good and the bad, I know its not perfect but I cant complain of the prices and demographics. Its prob family run which I have my own business and understand. Some people just have good and bad day. I try to share my good and learn from the bad :) still recommend this place over any other big company name brand who look at us like numbers. read more

Took My Two Year Old Great Nephew to get a hair cut on April 1st. My niece was super worried cause my nephew is always having a tantrum and never gets a great cut cause he screaming and crying . But this day we met Mo and my nephew got the cutest little hair cut... Moe made him feel so comfortable he sat and got his hair cut with No Tantrum what so ever. I came here back in June of this year looking to do a balayage and met Patricia. I absolutely loved how she left my hair and she's overall a sweet stylist. I returned this month on November to get a retouch on my roots since my hair was growing out and my hair came out beautiful. I felt like she was either trying to get me out of the store or assumed I wasn't going to buy anything. Because high-end hair care is an investment, I stood there looking up how to cocktail products with what I have at home. She approached me twice asking "do you need help?" but it didn't come off as helpful ~ - it came off like she wanted me to get out. When I finally said sure, help me, she gave me completely incorrect information. The final straw was when I was checking out. This cute elderly gentleman walked in, clearly having a hard time walking, and asked if they had products for curly hair. She instantly assumed he meant chemical "relaxers." When he got confused, she just flatly said, "No, we don't have that," and let him walk right out empty-handed. EMPTY HANDED . It was so rude her voice her tone it was so yuck Honestly the only reason I bought or even gave my CASH was cause I didn't want to go somewhere else to take my time finding another place since I had already been there and she had this discontinued hair dye However YUCK SHE SUCKED SO BAD like how do you run a business like that if you hate your job just leave

When I went from black to a brown/ blonde balayage, she made me do it SLOWLY. I've seen her turn down clients because their hair is in no state to be bleached but they want her to do it anyway. She's very passionate about her work and goes over and above to get your hair to a healthy place-- and keep it that way. I've sent all of my friends to her and, like me, they won't let anyone else touch their hair. Actually, the only other person I let touch my hair is Elite's owner Lorena. The person who arrived was friendly and professional, but I was not informed that he was the salon's barber rather than a hairstylist. By the time I realized this, he had already begun working on my hair. At the end of the appointment, I was charged $160 and was told that the $120 price only applied to root touch-ups, while a full-color service cost more. This was never explained to me before the service started. My main disappointment is not only the unexpected price increase but also the lack of communication about who would be performing the service. If I had known that a barber, rather than a hairstylist, would be coloring my hair, I would have appreciated the opportunity to make an informed decision before proceeding. I believe customers should be fully informed about both pricing and service providers before any work begins.
