NO REFUND, even when it's there fault again. Usually good food, but last evening was another mixup on our take out (5th time). I called Depak from home to tell him 2 items were wrong, and he didn't offer any solution. We decided to drive back to the restaurant. Went back and didn't even get a "Hello" from Deepak. Spoke with Ritu on the issue. She had them re-do the 2 entre's while we waited another 10 minutes. When I explained our frustration on this latest mixup, I asked her for a refund on only the 2 dishes (instead of the three) as part of good customer service for our inconvenience (about $25). She went and asked, then returned and said "No, since we are giving you the meal." I replied that it was not my error, and how we had to drive back, but she said no. We have been coming here many times (and thought we were "friends"), but this lack of customer service has showed us how they don't care about keeping the customer happy when it comes to $$. This has caused us to stop eating here. They can keep the $25. We'll find another place. read more

Picked up a vegetarian thali to go for lunch- came with 4-5 different curries, chutneys, rice, naan and dessert.. A bit pricey but comes with plenty of food, good enough for two! I was pleasantly surprised with the Taste of the dishes- had the right amount of spice and had a good taste to it as well. Will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu :) read more

It's hard to decide on a rating here, the food was great, the prices ok... But I'll definitely never having it delivered again! I placed an order on a Sunday evening and it took over an hour and a half to arrive! We were beyond starving at that point, so while I'm pretty sure the food was good, I was so hungry by the time it came that just about anything would have tasted good! My wife is out of town for the weekend so I decided to order some Indian food since she's not a fan. Man am I impressed. The delivery took a bit over an hour but was totally worth it. The chicken Tikka Masala was a bit sweeter than I'm used too but delicious. the sagg paneer was delicious. the Rogan Josh was perfectly spiced and had a rich flavor. the Naan was very light and fresh. I was craving good Indian food but didn't want to leave Katy. So I thought I'd do a to-go order and give this place a try. Garlic Naan Decent, but ends were burnt. Lamb Saag Wala I love lamb. I love saag anything. While the base sauce was quite tasty, THE MEAT WAS MORE THAN 50% FAT. There were even bits of bone. There is no excuse at these prices to be spitting out bites full of lamb fat. Chicken Vindaloo I was happily eating what felt more like a canned/jarred sauce than good homemade Indian, when I hit a HUGE MOUTHFUL OF PURE CURRY PASTE. My lips are inflamed; the inside of my mouth is nearly raw even after a quart of milk. Seriously, beginner cooks don't make these kind of mistakes. The chefs should be ashamed of themselves. By far the best Indian restaurant in Katy. Love their food.....specially the 'mirch ka saalan' & sevaiyyan payasam! They have a good variety of vegetarian & non-vegetarian dishes. The lunch buffet is also very fresh. Also, this is a gr8 place to cater food from. Nirman, the owner, can be very creative with catering menus. Have catered food from there on numerous occasions and people just loved it. U don't have to order 'A la carte'. He has come up with things like Kabuli Pulav, Hakka noodles etc. which are not on their menu, but were perfect for the occasion we were catering for. Absolutely recommend everyone to try! read more

I've been doing consulting work on Mason Road and venture out every day looking for a great lunch spot not too far to drive. Most of what Mason Road has to offer leaves a LOT to be desired. I was about to give up hope until I popped into Kurry Walah. The wonderful aromas are so enticing! I had the tikka masala with chicken and followed it up with a warm cup of masala tea. We visited the place with other families and most of them ordered thali both veg and non veg. The presentation and variety was very good. The taste also met and exceeded the expectations. However, a bit spicy which is good but the variety in a thali when combined with all options was coming out to be bit over on spices. It should have balanced with some milder veg or daal. Rice was well cooked and gave required texture and aroma. Attention from the staff was excellent and well served. Overall, do recommend to visit and experience for yourself. read more

For pickup and delivery: have never eaten in. Have to say we totally love this place. Chicken tikka masala is delicious and that saag paneer - totally awesome! Now you have to be careful with the spiciness - we order medium which is normally fine but this last time - boy - put the TP in the freezer as you're gonna need it! But finish off with some of their rice pudding - it will cool your mouth and soothe your soul all at the same time. Really delicious food - love it!! read more

Another local, family owned restaurant that needs to be supported. I first tried this based on a groupon and NO regrets. I will gladly go back without a groupon too. And I have. The food is excellent. It may be a little Americanized but I'm not Indian nor caucasion so who knows. All I know is it is excellent Indian food. I believe we ordered the Chicken tikka masala, as well as the awesome garlic Naan bread. The Saag paneer was also excellent. Nothing too spicy but my baseline for spicy is likely higher than average so take that with some milk. Been here twice, first time service was horrible, second time it was great. Both times the food blew us away! It's a small place, but the food has BIG flavor. Our 8 year old son loved the Butter Chicken and our 11 month old daughter couldn't get enough of the Paneer and Naan. If there was an option for zero stars, that would be the rating. We tried to order through Door Dash, selected the only food options this restaurant had available, then received a very upsetting phone call from the restaurant. They said that we were unable to get the specials and we had to pay full price. We replied that full price was perfectly fine, and then they responded with "we do not have food available today and you will need to contact Door Dash for a refund". Completely confused, we got upset and hung up on them. Meanwhile, the Door Dash app says the Delivery Driver has arrived at the location and they are filling the order?? I do not even know what to say. Contacting either the restaurant or Door Dash is a nightmare (neither have English fluent employees). Finally, DoorDash was able to confirm the restaurants error and refunded the order. Save yourself the headache and go to a legitimate Indian restaurant, there are many in the area. read more

My wife and I went for dinner, as we were very curious. The food is without question the most authentic Indian food in the area. The onion bhajis were crisp and spiced perfectly. The saag paneer was prepared in the classical manner, not as seen in most other Indian restaurants and the chicken korma was the best we've had in years. I am a bit surprised by the 4 and 5 star ratings. Just got back from lunch and the food was disappointing. I get they are new and the server was very nice. An extra star for that, otherwise I'd rate it at 2 stars. We were the only ones for lunch. They didn't have lunch buffet, it was ala carte. We got the vegetarian thali ($14) to sample different things. The appetizer was a samosa, which was exceptionally greasy inside (like when I broke it open, a small pool of oil came out!) and very salty. The chana and saag paneer were also a little too salty. The raita had soured a bit too much and the naan was not cooked all the way through. On the positive side, the daal makhani was excellent--well spiced and creamy. The rice was fluffy and aromatic and the chutneys were on point. The kofta was a bit sweet and a tad on the salt side, but still quite delish. Paneer kadai was also a bit sweet, but quite tasty. I think they really need to ramp up on the food, a few small changes could really make it really delish. read more

We drove all the way from Sugarland just to dine here and it was well worth the drive! The place is very warm and friendly. The place seemed family run and it also showed in their service and of course the food! We had mango lassi, paneer tikka and a curry with garlic naans. Everything was served fresh and hot! It reminded of all the awesome Punjabi restaurants back home. This is my favorite Punjabi restaurant in Houston! Would have dined here more frequently if not for the distance. Went to this restaurant after looking at the previous reviews. Ordered a goat curry a chicken curry and biriyani and naans. The taste of the curries were indeed very good and the food was fresh. We also ordered mango lassis that were terrific. However, the goat was very hard and chewy, and the biriyani (looked and smelled heavenly) was not seasoned enough. Think it needed more spices, salt or something because it lacked in taste. I do concede that I'm very picky about Indian food and rarely find one that I'm completely happy with. We went there for a dinner. The service was pathetic as I had to get up and go to their counter and make requests. Naan's were made fresh but they take so much of time to bring them to table that they were getting cold. The lady pull the bill out before even asking if we need anything else and later when you show groupon to her, her face shows she did not like your presenting the groupon to her.
