    Butter Chicken
    Marcia S.

Ordered the butter chicken, garlic naam and a Mango Lassi. The location is near Big Lots in the same strip mall. There was a few families that were dining in. It was very clean inside. I will say next time I will call ahead and order. When I placed the order the guy said it will take a minute which wasn't a problem. While waiting I did have the opportunity to see several dishes that other people got that looked good. Service was pretty fast. Mango Lassi - fresh mango pulp and yogurt mix drink. Very good, so good I forgot about it I forgot to take a pic. Garlic Naam - very fresh and you can smell the garlic on your hand. The naam was nice and big and cut in half. Butter chicken- very creamy, not spicy, the chicken was shredded. I do wish there was a little more chicken. What I like is you didn't taste to much of the tomato spice. It was a nice even balance. This place is a great go to spot for Indian Food Katy.

Ordered food to go from this restaurant - chicken lollipop and chicken fried rice. The entire experience was quick and easy and my food was waiting before my arrival. I enjoyed the chicken lollipop, albeit was a little oily for my liking, the chicken fried rice was decent, similar to what I've had with other restaurants, nothing to write home about. The restaurant looked clean and the front staff was friendly. The prices are comparable to other Indian restaurants and won't burn a hole in your pocket. There's a huge parking lot outside. If you're expecting exceptional taste, this place will disappoint you. This is a budget friendly restaurant, which isn't a bad thing at all, so it comes with its pros and cons, therefore I'd say keep your expectations real. Overall, a decent place to try out Indian food.

PLASTIC IN GRAVY On 6th March 2020, Ordered Butter Chicken from Tru India using Uber Service. We were shocked to feel the "BURNT PLASTIC WRAP" in the butter chicken gravy while chewing. I used to be a regular customer for their butter chicken but such quality issues are disappointing to see. Even in the past we found food quality issues such as diluted gravy with very little chicken pieces. I will not recommend this place to anyone until they fix their food quality issues.

This restaurant is our #1 go to Indian restaurant in Katy area. We recently went there again and noticed it's under new management. But all the food we ordered are still really good, we love their goat fry, we also ordered lamb vindaloo, gun powder dosa, they were all up to the standard, I saw some recent bad reviews here, not sure why because we didn't experience any of those, and we really hope they won't close due to those reviews, we have seen so many good Indian restaurant closed in the past few years, it made us so sad...we really enjoy eating here!

Oh my! How did I not know this place was open! When we eat out it's because of the quality of food and Tru India hit the nail on the head. Very professional and personal service by Sharma. The food portions were very generous and flavorful. Truly fresh and cooked perfectly with timely service. Our picture is after 3 of us, each eating 2 generous plates. Very happy to say we will be back. No other place in Katy even compares.

They are still operating. Phone numbers differ; on menu I have ending 5217 and the one on yelp 4881 Food remains good but place itself lacks atmosphere. A good take out place

Great selections for dinner. I've been on a cabbage addiction lately, wrapping everything. I'd blanch the cabbage and wrapped my meat with my special sauce and I ate it that way. lol you can eat so much more that way! So good! Lesson to the wise for an Ayce Shabu. Don't eat the noodles until the end :) so we're getting really good at this all you can eat Shabu business. It is so good. We had so much fun and we ate so much. The wait staff was so kind and so nice. The only reason I didn't give an extra star is that we came on a Sunday night and they aren't even closing, but they stopped refilling things an hour before. They stopped refilling the garlic. There was no more spoons out for the ice cream. There's no more crawfish or Cajun boil out and they stopped coming to refill your soup or check up on you after a while. Other than that the food was delicious so that's why I'm hesitant to give it five stars. The place is huge. The music is loud with a lot of K-pop. It's on the hotter side AC lacking a little bit for hot pot, but everything was so tasty especially done my way with the cabbage. lots of variety and a lot of fun. Worthwhile place to go.

Soft music, white and red walls with Thai decor. Natural lighting during the day with warm interior lighting. It appears that there has been a makeover to the restaurant. I like the new look more. It seems more upscale in appearance. Dress code here is business casual. 4. Food - I've had their YELLOW CURRY WITH CHICKEN AND WHITE RICE. Curry is a bit sweet to my liking, but overall, it was a good meal. Will have to try other dishes next time. Food presentation is nicely plated. Not messy or sloppy. 5. Cleanliness - dining area is clean. The waitstaff keeps this place in tip top shape. The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. I would definitely come back to try again and will highly recommend this place.

It's cute from the outside, and as soon as you walk in, you're warmly welcomed by both the waitress and waiter. Once seated, they were quick with drink orders and attentive throughout service was impeccable...For food, I ordered my go to Tom Kha Kai, along with the crab wontons from their happy hour menu. The Tom Kha had a lighter, more watery base than the rich coconut flavor I'm used to. I know this can vary by region, so it wasn't bad, just not my personal preference...The cream cheese crab wontons were decent and nicely presented. They also served a complimentary appetizer, which was a fun surprise, a taco shaped fried wonton wrapper filled with cabbage and their house dressing...Overall, if you're looking for a quick Thai bite with excellent service, this place works. I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 not because it's bad, but because the flavors didn't quite match what I personally look for. For what it is, it's solid. -- Pilgrim Sojourner

Some of my favorites were the bbq spare ribs, fried rice, chicken and broccoli, and a spicy (not really spicy, just in the name) stirfry chicken. Hate I forgot to take photos of the actual names. In terms of parking, it's located in a strip center, so there's plenty of options. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They are also super fast.
