Oh my...just discovered Kurbside Sweets food truck near 98th & Quaker! Yes, there was a u-turn involved once we spotted them. Really cool concept. Pretty much design your own ice cream sandwich. My pick was Blue Bell Cookie Dough Ice Cream sandwiched between Snickerdoodle Cookies. Think I heard harps playing with the very first bite! Total deliciousness! Super friendly staff, fast service, and easy to understand menu boards. What a happy, happy place!!

This place is such a great idea!! It's an ice cream sandwich truck! You check their social networks for their location of the day and their daily hours. We found them next to the Lazy Boy on Milwaukee. The truck is a bright aqua blue so it was easy to spot! We arrived and the line was pretty short. The people were super friendly! The chalkboards told you how the process worked, and they got us our ice cream sandwiches pretty quickly afterwards! They had several cookie types and ice cream flavors (you could even get two different kinds of cookies!! I know, mindblowing) They use homemade cookies that are the size of your palm and blue bell ice cream. They were delicious!! My only complaint was that the ice cream was too soft/the cookies were too hard and it ended up making a pretty big mess for all of us. As a cookie/ice cream fanatic though, this day was pretty great.

OMG the best ice cream food truck in Lubbock. 5 stars for the staff, ice cream and pricing. I always feel like they give generous portions and do not price gouge. They serve Blue Bell ice cream and have a fantastic list of flavor options. read more

Caught them at Target. They make delicious ice cream sandwiches with your choice of cookies! They are reasonably priced and the service is excellent. The trucks are extremely clean and the blue truck is decorated tastefully. I found them again about 6 months ago at a nursery. Couldn't resist! read more

You should state on your social media posts that the brownie sandwich is only available on weekends. That way people don't drive across town and find out only when something different is handed to you. Brownie cookie is not the same thing. read more

What a great place to get a sweet treat! I always get the chocolate chip cookie because I'm a sucker for a classic. I've had the Butterfinger ice cream and the pistachio, and both were excellent. The owners are wonderful people too, and I love supporting a local business. Give them a follow on social media, find where they're at currently, and go give them a try! Was in town to visit my daughter, and decided to stop at this cute little truck for an ice cream sandwich. Good news first, the maple pecan and snickerdoodle cookie were very good. Bad news, their customer service made me sad. When we walked up to the truck, the young man and young lady inside the truck just looked at us. No greeting or can we help you. Just stared at us. A little uncomfortable. We said hello and ask how they were doing. We got a cool, generic response. I love Lubbock because of the very friendly people here, so I was surprised at how unfriendly they were. Perhaps they're not from Lubbock? Anyhow, there little ice cream sandwiches are pretty tasty. read more

Finally, the evening started with drinks- my choice, an espresso martini. At the bar, the lady asked if I wanted "creamy and sweet" and I said "neither"-- what she gave me was AMAZING! She said if I reordered at the table later to say the same to our waiter, with my name. I did, and ... yikes- not even close to the same flavor. Overall, we love coming here for the atmosphere and waitstaff, but the consistency in quality of food keeps regressing. It truly makes me sad.
