Kung Fu Tea - My daughter's mango snow with strawberry popping boba - Bubble Tea Near Me - Turlock, California

My favorite boba spot in town. I usually order a Peach Green tea and add regular brown sugar boba & lychee jelly. I love that the lyche jelly is actually jelly and not popping type boba. Price wise I would say it is a little on the expensive side. My drink in a medium size comes out to a little over $7. Granted I get two toppings. They have games and a claw machine. They also have a rewards program where you can earn discounts on future orders. read more

Visited Kung Fu Tea this past weekend because there really isn't that much boba options nearby. The drinks were good but the sizing is not too great. Pictured is a regular sized mango snow that comes with mango jelly. Very refreshing and it has a great texture with the jelly. The location is lively with games you can play while you wait for your drinks. Even foosball tables as regular tables to keep you entertained while you wait. It seems like a nice place to hang out with friends with plenty of tables to sit at! read more

I've been a couple of times and atmosphere is always really nice. The service is always great but I wanted to shoutout Diana especially. She was super nice, made us feel welcome, and made some amazing drinks!! read more

Did a mobile order while finishing up dinner in another area of the shopping center. We walked over and grabbed our drinks. When I got back to the car, I took them out of the carrier and the two spooky slushes didn't include the bubbles I had added on in either of them and it was listed on the sticker on the cup. Also, the macchiato wasn't full and about an inch from the top of the cup. We walked back over and the girl at the register didn't apologize for their mistake and but did remake them. Now the slushes were primarily matcha with no taro, which was swirled in the original ones that had no bubbles. You can see rhe different in my photos. I didn't want to deal with it again, so I left. I didn't want just a matcha slush and paid more for these to be the spooky ones, only to be disappointed not once, but twice. read more

I am extremely impressed with this location. I ordered their "Caribbean blast" I think that's what the drink is called and it was surprisingly good. I also ordered the yogurt strawberry lemonade for hubby and it was amazing. The price was reasonable and the service was very friendly and quick. I was told that they opened in 2020, seems like right when the pandemic started. I am amazed that they flourish during the pandemic. I am looking forward to returning this location and ordering the other items on the menu. Price: A+ Quality: A + + + Service: A + read more

Ahhh a Kung Fu Tea competitor for milk tea/boba drinks here in the Turlock area. This is a popular boba chain that has slowly spread across the States from what I have seen during my travels. It is nice to see one here after Modesto opened one as well. I truly believe that King Fu Teas has amazing drinks by their quality. Their tea here tastes absolutely amazing with great ingredients. The boba here always has a great sweet flavor and cooked perfectly. I personally like to get the jasmine milk tea with a sort of salted crema concoction. Great green tea flavor with the subtle bitterness balanced with the salty from the topped cream. Kung Fu Tea is a great competitor and probably one of the top boba spots in Turlock now. Downside is this boba chain does not have any food snacks and is a bit on the pricier side compared to other boba chains. The staff here are super friendly and I love the interior with the small shrine at the entrance (for good luck). Their tables are small mini-foosball tables as well that you can play with while waiting for your order! Plenty of parking so that shouldn't be a problem. read more

It is a nice tea place, but I think it's better in the bay area, the cup of Milk Tea they gave me doesn't seem to be full, and the little flyers by their register promoting their mobile app offers a 10% off coupon for the next drink, but when I scanned the QR code, the website says "the promotion seems to be over" and this cafe seems to have 30 of those promotional flyers. read more

Something was telling me to stay away but i did not listen. I walked in and it smelled like bathroom cleaner instead of tea and sugar. I don't know how this place has high ratings. I ordered the oolong honey tea with cream and it was horrible. They put so much honey in it that it was inedible and overly sweet. I went back in and asked for a refund. They offered to remake it but I said no, please refund me. They were nice enough to do so. Don't mean to sound pretentious, but as a Bay Area native I will stick to the Bay Area for my boba tea needs. Turlock has no good tea places. read more

Don't waste your time. Girls working don't seem happy to be there, never said hello and looked miserable. I waited for a few minutes and decided to spend my money elsewhere read more

Tried the sesame oolong milk tea; everything was mixed quite well so it was the color of concrete with some boba at the bottom. I ordered 25% sweet, my usual adjustment, but it was very, very sweet. Not sure if that request was applied. To upgrade the drink I would present it with layers or a sesame infused topping and let the customer mix themselves. read more

This is my first time at the Turlock establishment. For some reason everything is still closed for inside dining while other restaurants are open. Don't know why Kung Fu is still closed. Anyways moving on. My tea was good but needed more ice. It wasn't as cold as it should be. Ok I'm done. read more

Can't really taste the purple yam latte itself because the coffee popping boba is too sweet (topping recommended by the employee)

I'm glad Turlock is expanding to more boba places. I tried their Thai Milk Tea and Oolong Milk Tea. Their Thai Milk Tea is not the same color as other milk tea places (other Thai Milk Tea places has a bit orange-reddish color to their drinks --- here, their Thai Milk Tea color is like a regular milk tea --- which made me confused at first 'cause I wasn't sure if they made the right drink). But the taste is somewhat similar to a Thai Milk Tea. Their Oolong Milk Tea tastes a lot better though. It's more creamy in my opinion. The place is bigger than I thought for a boba place, and they have no indoor seatings due to COVID. Employees wore masks. Recommendation(s): - Oolong Milk Tea Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Plenty of parking - They have 2 sizes: regular and large read more

LOVE the boba here. It's very chewy and has the perfect flavor. Since it's winter, my favorite drink here has been the hot Kung fu green tea with boba. It's so good on a cold day! I have also tried their Matcha Strike with Milk Cap and that is absolutely delicious as well! My family really likes the Taro Milk Tea and the taro slush. I think we have probably ordered over 20 drinks here total since they have opened and we will definitely keep coming! My order got messed up once (I ordered a large and got a regular), but they fixed the problem right away. The place is also very spacious! read more

Since it was my first time, I ordered the peach milk tea and it was good and I didn't even know that there are little chunks of peach, but it still turned out good totally recommend it. Service was nice the cashier was nice to explain what the drinks are and what's it's made of and I totally appreciate it. I love the ambience of this place. It looks nice, colorful, fun, and spacious good for families to come by and play games that they have for tables. That looks fun. I would totally come back for more! read more

Was excited about another new boba place in town..used to only be Quickly for the longest time..then Teasert and now KFT. So, why the 1 star, first of all, went in to get some boba teas for the family and saw 2 separate groups of four sitting/drinking. One other group was playing on their foosball table...hanging out. Some were wearing masks and some were not. I was thinking to myself .... aren't dine-in still not allowed?!?! Second, I got their chai tea with boba...it was way way way to watered down and not sweet at all. Wife got recommended the WOW tea (I think). She didn't like it but I thought it tasted ok. Maybe I'll give them another try...but as of now #1Quickly will still be our go to place and #2Teasert be next. read more

just got this matcha milk tea with bubbles and this shit was ass. the bubbles tasted literally like nothing like just straight up chewy nothing. the matcha doesn't even taste like matcha it has like this weird chemically taste that kind of burns my mouth. no wonder this place got low ass reviews. ruined my night. *_* read more

Despite what other picky people might have said about this tea place, I think it's just fine. The tapioca pearls are nice and chewy with a bit of sweetness to them. As a perk for those who are lactose intolerant, an employee told me that all of their teas that contain milk are made with lactose-free milk, except for the milk caps. This place may not be up to Bay Area quality, but it's really good for the Central Valley. read more

Zero stars we came to get boba for our niece and nephew and the lady at the register said they're aren't supposed to give change when we asked for singles to let the kids play the crane machine they have in the corner very rude and disrespectful also they did not want to combine flavors for some reason very unprofessional do not come here 0 stars but only going to give 1 I can't select no stars! read more

Moved up north and was craving boba. I know there aren't a lot of options in town, so I figured I'd give this place a try. I had pretty low expectations, but this place was a lot better than I thought. Sure it's not the same as boba from the bay or socal, but it'll hold you over. read more

I went in there with my daughter to get a treat for New Years Eve!! I was the only customer in there at the time. There was only one women working there at the time. She did had a female companion with her, but was not working with her. I went up to the counter to order. I needed help ordering something from the menu. When I would ask her something about the menu. Instead of helping me she would just laugh, not look at me, and talk to me in a condescending way. Making it more confusing for me and trying to makr feel stupid for asking anything. I thought maybe she might be having a bad day. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt I kept ordering. I should have just left then, but I was still trying to order for my child. As time kept going on she got progressively worse. She started taping her finger on the counter, sighing, rolling her eyes. I definitely was bothering her by being there and wasting her precious time on the Job. I would tell her, "Thank you", she would ignore me like I wasnt even there. It felt like she was being force to work there. On top of all that she got all the orders wrong. I finally ask her for her name at the end (Erik). As I left with my daughter. We were parked right in front and I could see her laughing with her friend well looking straight back at vehicle. It's not okay to make yourself higher and treat somebody lower! Its not alright to a bully. I feel sad something was definitely wrong with you. I hope no one else gets treated like this again. On the plus side, I order food next door and they were super kind! And wished us a happy New Years! read more

Service wasn't terrible, the ambiance is nice and lively, but the quality of drinks is a 0/10 for me. Personally I'd prefer quicklys, and I'm not experienced enough to say this but their Thai Milk Tea looked and tasted like regular coffee milk tea? But I thought it was orange in color, and definitely has a unique flavor. My little sister got the Red Bean Wow and is completely grossed out and unimpressed, she stated, "It tastes like milk and beans". The whole experience wasn't bad, but I personally am not a fan of their milk teas. read more

My obsession with boba initially started at Kung Fu Tea, this place will forever be my go-to place when I'm craving boba :)

Finally Best boba in Turlock!!! I used to drive to Kung fu in Modesto but not anymore!! I've literally have had all the drinks. I've been to many Kung Fu teas in the country and none have disappointed. If you like water based tea then you have to try Mango Green Tea, and if you like a milk based tea then get the Milk Strick w boba! Enjoy guys! read more

1 star for fast service 1 star for cleanliness 1 star for following safety protocol I asked the male staff member regarding what their most popular drink is. He states the Taro milk tea is the most popular. I ordered it with boba. In My personal opinion, the Taro milk tea is mediocre (compared to other places). The boba was good though. I would probably try another drink instead next time. read more
