Sesame Matcha Milk Tea with Boba & Red Bean Wow
Nayra B.

A fun place to grab some unique boba! I've been to several boba tea shops but the atmosphere of Kung Fu Tea is a lot more fun and more unique to others in my area. It has some cute spots to take some photos, there's lots of pop art to look at, and of course the neon dragon logo on one of the walls. The barista was super quick with our order and had our drinks out in a flash. We had the shop to ourselves when we went so it was very quiet, but I can easily see this being a cool place to hang out with friends for a drink. While the menu has all of the drinks you'd expect in a tea shop, they also have their own unique twist on a few of them as well. For example, I've never heard of a Sesame Matcha Milk Tea but it was delicious! The matcha quality was top of the line and the added sesame seeds gave it a delicious roasted flavor that complimented the matcha quite nicely. It definitely elevated a classic matcha milk tea to the next level without overpowering it. The Red Bean Wow was also super yummy and something I will definitely be returning for. The layer of red bean on top of the boba at the bottom wasn't too mushy in texture and added a nice sweetness to the milk tea. It was quite a thick layer, but it worked really well with the boba and didn't detract from their taste either. The boba was also the perfect consistency; not too firm but not too gummy, and tasted delicious in both of our drinks. As a former coffee/tea shop barista, I definitely recommend Kung Fu Tea for those looking for a refreshing and quality drink. You won't be disappointed!

$4 for a Brown Sugar Milk Strike, but only on weekdays and until 3 PM

It's funny how there's a Kung Fu Tea just a few miles away from my residence in SoCal, but I waited until visiting San Antonio before finally stopping by one. It was really by chance because I was having lunch at Fish City Grill and also picking something up at HEB, all of which are in the Northwoods Shopping Center on the southeast corner of 281 and 1604. There were a handful of posters showcasing their drinks at the front window, and I wanted to try my luck at one of them. They had Wow drinks, which I had absolutely no idea what they were, but I still wanted to try it lol. There was nobody inside except for two employees when I came in on a Sunday early afternoon. I don't think either of them wanted to be there honestly. I asked some questions about their drinks, but one of them would reply in a rather monotonous tone that kind of killed the vibe for me. The other, no joke, actually drank from a 2-Liter Dr. Pepper while I was trying to decide what to get. That's a little distracting, don't you think? And even so, why would you do it right in front of a paying customer?? I asked about the $4 Wow special that was posted on the front window, but as it turns out, it only applies to weekdays from open until 3 PM. Since I went on a Sunday, that wouldn't work for me, but I wanted to go through on it. Which drink did I get? I got the Oreo. The Wow drinks already come with boba, so there was no need to select that topping, which would have been a 65-cent upcharge for any other drink. It didn't take long before the male bobarista finished preparing my drink and placed it on the counter for me to pick up. I love Oreo drinks, and while this one was good, I can't say it was *that* good. While I did taste the Oreo bits and the brown sugar, there was a lot of ice inside! I wasn't asked for my desired level of ice like I'd do at, say, Feng Cha, but if I were given a choice, I would have picked less ice. So for the price I paid, I didn't think I got nearly as much drink compared to other spots. I was already done with it, and I had just barely started the drive back to my hotel! Overall, it wasn't bad, but it could have been way better.

10/10 across the board for this place! There's a couple spots to take cute pictures at, plenty of tables to sit and the menus are so clean and well lit! Service was great and quick! We all enjoyed our teas and boba.

My daughter is obsessed with Boba and we love kung fu tea. I do not like popping bubbles at all, but they have such a wide variety of other drinks to order. We are always happy to stop in in the interior of the restaurant is very cool.

Friendly Staff and great service! A nice hipster place to hang but the teas are good. I am particular about my pearls lol. It tastes the same and nothing out of the word about it. It's good, but not going to be a return trip. It is a bit out of the way for me and I have closer tea joints. The decor is cool and good amount of seating. The colors and theme screams chain. But not individuality. Like I said it's good and a good place to get a boba tea in a pinch. If someone offered it to me, I wouldn't say no lol.

I love Kung Fu Tea!! I didn't even know they had a location here unfortunately it's hidden so make sure you use your gps to find it. Once you go inside you noticed it's nice and clean and huge space with lots of tables. The workers are super nice. I usually get a tea Thai boba. I love it. Definitely one of my favorite boba tea places.

Strawberry Matcha Fields

Fast service ! Got the brown sugar and strawberry shortcake inspired drinks . My favorite was the strawberry with matcha milk cap and boba ! It was amazing so good will definitely come back :)

Looks nice and aesthetic. They have a giant jenga game and lots of sitting. Glad they opened a new one and more north central area. Been to every location of kung fu in san antonio so I basically know the drinks. No complaints and hopefully won't have.

Images show what we recieved for the princess peach collaboration vs what was advertised! What a horribly disappointing surprise for my daughter...will never be returning to kung fu panda. Zero stars. Cheers!

I absolutely love bubble teas! I grew up drinking boba after school. I am on a work trip in SA and stopped by for a short nostalgic moment. There are so many flavors I had to ask the girls behind the counter for their help. Daizy suggested the honey oolong and I'm in love. She suggested the freshly made strawberry jam. Jorja scooped me a small sample and I was sold. Heydy made my drink with 30% sweetness, just the way I like it. It pairs well with the freshly made strawberry jam. Rachel helped me pick the best option for my picky dad. He loves it! Glad to see such amazing girls working together. See you all soon!

Worst location ever! Spent $17 for two drinks that tasted awfully stale. Very inconsistent compared to other locations.

The quality is always solid to me. The store is comfortable and the staff all provide great customer service. A big plus is that this store also closes at 10pm. I ordered: - Fat Cat Purrfect Latte Large - Original Waffle I honestly don't know the difference between the Fat Cat Purrfect Latte and something like a regular Brown Sugar Milk Tea, but I loved the name and the drink was pretty good. Not overwhelmingly sweet and you can taste the tea flavor. I didn't get boba with it so I can't speak for the quality of the boba. I also ordered the Original Waffle with no topics because I'm an extremely basic person. They do take a while to make understandably so, but not gonna lie I finished my drink and went back to my car. Then started the enginge only to realize I still have a bubble waffle being made. I came back and the team member updated me on how much time was left until it's completed which is appreciated. It was worth the wait though. It was a really good bubble waffle with a fluffy interior and crispy outside. I'd be happy coming back here again.

I looked at the menu online & saw they have a Matcha Levitea with Green Jelly and it's only $4 so I stopped by after the gym. There was a construction truck with a crane in front so I parked on the side by the drive-thru. I walked in and it was quiet, no piped in music but a young male employee came to the counter. I showed him my phone with the BOGOF reward & told him that I wanted the Matcha Latte. I paid for what was listed as 1 order on the kiosk & figured he'd make 2 of the same? I asked if I could use the restroom & he said it was around the corner. While he was making my drink, I went to the co-ed bathroom. I looked in the toilet & it was disgustingly dirty so I left & didn't bother using it. I waited & saw him prep only one drink but figured he was doing it one at a time. A gentleman came in with 2 little kids and said to me "Are they open?" And I said "Yeah, there's someone here." The clerk came out & the man said "Where's the menu?" The clerk pointed to the laminated menu on the counter. They used to have a lit menu board above the counter but it's gone or maybe broken? Afterwards, the clerk gave me my drink & I said "Isn't it BOGOF?" and he said "I wasn't sure what you wanted for the other one??" I think he's not very assertive working the front counter because he didn't even bother to ask me when he took my order?? Maybe he's new and/or wasn't trained? Plus, I was the only customer in the store when he took my order. I told him I wanted the same thing. He proceeded to make me another one & I thanked him. While waiting, I took photos of games, events & promos they have. Maybe it's busier in the evening when young kids hang out after school or for those events? As far as the Matcha Levitea, it was really refreshing, not cloyingly sweet & perfect for the mid-day. I'd go back for that!

But as you know, if the family has their kid doing homework in the corner and helping out, then it's gotta be good. We were seated and server took our order quickly. She was very nice. Answered all questions. We ordered the Pho. One was the chicken and the other was the tofu/veggies with veggie broth. They were able to provide a veggie broth for the vegan. Soup sizes were small or large with a $1 difference. I got the large and my wife the small. The pho hit the spot. Tasted great. There wasn't to much of a difference in size. I could've gotten the small and still been ok. I was disappointed at the prices. The base price for the veggie pho was $15.99, then they charged an extra $4 for tofu. Kinda upset considering all the other pho options had a protein already in them for no upcharge. The restaurant didn't look Vietnamese inside. It seemed as if they took over either an older Italian restaurant or a Mediterranean one of some type. Overall the food was good but there are cheaper options with just as good flavor in the area.
