We were in Ny visiting for the weekend and found this bubble tea shop. Small and cute, but no place to sit. Thankfully it wasn't busy so we were able to order and get the drink nice and quick. The tea was very good and I was happy with it and I tried a new flavor. Winter melon green tea. It was a new favorite and I was happy with it

We'll start with a rap... It's been 10 minutes, and I'm DUE For another drink from Kung FU So now I'm going to rap for YOU And if it really sucks, just BOO So if you and your bf are THROUGH And you need something (someone) to DO Let me show you how my legend "GREW" And all my urban myths are TRUE Be glad your sister never KNEW What we did, or she'd want me TOO So do me like they do the DEW And I'll stick atop you like GLUE There is no taming of this SHREW I'll be the driver, you the SCREW You the river, me CANOE Or you can be Barbie's sexy SHOE Me Roger Daltrey, you the WHO You Chinatown Houston, me LOU Me dictator, you my COUP You Nepal, me KATHMANDU You 80s radio, me CUTTING CREW You a doctor's office, me the FLU You the Synagogue, me the JEW You the toilet, me the POO Wait, what Anyway Those boys will have to join the QUEUE And wait until I'm done with YOU You'll bounce like a KANGAROO Cause we're lovers, not fighters like FOO And when we're done (in a day or TWO) After I've made your kitty MEW And after I've finally WITHDREW Then it's time to go to Kung FU! WHAT One of my favorite Kung Fu tea locations in all of New York City. There's not a lot of space to sit except for a bench along a mirror and in the window and it's long and skinny (like my, oh wait) and I definitely appreciated it (like you appreciate my, oh wait). Really nice guy running the place, and a nice girl serving, and the lemon black tea was tasty and delicious and refreshing, while the Boba is good and squidgy and sweet just the way I like it. As NYC areas go, I'm partial to Bay Ridge and I'm partial to this location as well to some degree. I'll definitely come back here again in future. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! So if you have nothing to do And your partner won't give you a screw I know something better And very much wetter Get Lemon Black Tea from Kung Fu!

Standard KFT, can't go wrong if you're craving a milk bubble tea. I was surprised to see other food options here because the other chains don't usually have food like dumplings or fried Oreos.. Maybe I would try out the food next time. They don't accept AMEX cards!

Friendly shop, friendly service... we were the only ones there.. so this branch may need some boost! Cozy space with enough room for bar stool seatings. Came in after some yummy soup dumplings at eNoodle; for a delicious Cocoa Cream Wow aka Brown Sugar Boba Milk! It was good but not as good as the Bensonhurst branch. The boba was not as soft and not as sweet. Still good though!

Tea with bubbles, why yes. I love bubble teas, even better when I can get a drink with chunks of oreos. Oreo milk tea is my fav! This spot is owned by a family, very nice couple. I always receive great service here no matter how crowded it gets.

No business here. Go to Coco. Place was empty. Bad sign for a business perspective. My transaction was a number four when I'd came in at six pm. Should've just left to go to "Coco." First, cash only. Second, drinks tasted watery. Third, charged sales tax. Fourth, only four transactions at six pm. Fifth, repeat step one. For real. This place blows. I can make better milk tea than them. Both drinks came down to be $9. With that money, you can get halal food down the block with a small Starbucks ice coffee.

They have $8 minimum on card. I purchased the same drink yesterday (dec 7th) that I was going to get today as well. The guy at the register said he couldn't swipe my card. I told him go ahead, I don't mind paying for the 30cents fee, they did the same thing yesterday. He said he can't, I'm like why, they did it yesterday. I was gonna reach for my phone to show him the transaction and there was a lady(tall, skinny, Asian with a short, bob hair cut) coming out yelling at me, asking me why I was giving a hard time for the cashier, he is new and she was telling me all type of nasty things in front of everyone (it was 4pm on a Wednesday). I got my drink and the same yelling lady gave me the drink, confronting me again with the same questions and yelling at me. I asked her why she is yelling and what was her name. She refused to tell me her name but she claimed she was the owner. She said I shouldn't come back here anymore. She repeated it two more times after that. Well if she's the owner, good luck but people won't tolerate this kinda behavior, verbally attacking the customer. Maybe it didn't get to her head that customers' spending their money give her and her workers their daily meal. Whoever has to work with that woman, I feel bad for them with her nasty attitude. It might be the only bubble tea place in this area, but I regret spending even $1 here. And I won't be back as she asked for it!

There's a lot of bubble tea competition in the area so it's nice to see them thriving. My usual rotation is: Wonder Grape - light and refreshing, my most ordered drink Hojicha Latte - my caffeine pick when I want that roasted flavor Coco Mango - more of a dessert drink, reminds me of mango sai mai lo Mochi O Sesame - dessert like, creamy and satisfying Pomegranate Burst - my no caffeine antioxidant pink drink during that time Persimmon series - my actual favorite but it only shows up during the fall season They also have snacks like popcorn chicken, crispy chicken burgers, and eggy waffles. One thing though, this location doesn't seem to carry the cauliflower that I've had and liked from other Jooy spots. I still think their older signature drinks are the most reliable. Some of the newer series feel a little rushed. I tried the pear series and the pear tasted unripe while the pomelo was a lot which made the drink come out pretty bitter. The guava series was also too light when I tried it, almost like guava tinted tea.

When you first walk in, you are hit with the lovely and fragrant smell of tea leaves, and freshly brewed tea. I went with one of the more popular drinks - Coconut Mango Blue. I don't normally love coconut flavor but you couldn't taste it too much here. You taste more of the mango flavor, which was refreshing. I had never had blue spirulina before and it didn't really taste like anything. Again, you just taste more of the mango. Hubby had the Green Grape Boom, which was a little melty by the time he drank it so it would have tasted much better if it was still slushy. Almost all other tea shops in this neighborhood close pretty early so that definitely sets this establishment apart. The milk tea was made well, just the appropriate amount of sweetness. This past Saturday, my sister wanted to try someplace new, so we decided to go to Upwind. When we walked in, there were only two staff: a tea-rista/cashier and a tea-rista in training. Both were very patient as we looked through the menu. My sister ended up ordering the kumquat lemon green tea with no sugar, and I really liked how the tea-rista/cashier advised that she get it with 30% sugar as it may be too sour for her taste. My sister reassured her that she wanted it with no sugar, and then the tea-rista in training proceeded to make her drink. The kumquat lemon green tea was tart like my sister preferred, the service was quick, and the staff were very nice. Overall, pleasant experience.
