Best Bites - Cool Down at Spoon It While out shopping with…read moremy grandkids on a typical hot Texas day, one of them asked for frozen yogurt. I told them, "I know just the place!" About a month ago, Spoon It opened its doors at 7515 Hwy 105 near Major Drive, and it's already become a favorite spot for a cool, creamy treat. Calling it "cute" is an understatement--it gives off real tropical vibes! The checkout counter and yogurt machine stations are designed like tiki huts, complete with bamboo and thatched roofs. It's festive, fun, and the perfect escape from the heat. Their variety of frozen yogurt is impressive, with about 12 different flavors to choose from--including two sugar-free options. One granddaughter chose a swirl of pistachio, cheesecake, and yellow cake batter yogurt, and topped it with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple. The other went with dreamsicle and cheesecake yogurt, finished off with little cheesecake squares for extra indulgence. And oh--did I mention their topping bar? It's vast! If you can think of it, they probably have it. As for me, I had a small serving of sugar-free strawberry yogurt topped with fresh strawberries. Light, refreshing, and absolutely delicious--I'd definitely order it again. With summer temperatures climbing, I encourage you to stop by Spoon It on Hwy 105. The yogurt is top-notch, the customer service is exceptional, and the vibe is just plain fun. Bring your kids or grandkids--they'll love it. Ladies, after your next girlfriend's luncheon, treat yourself to something sweet. Guys, take your date--she'll love it too. And when you go, be sure to tell them you saw it on Best Bites! I tried a couple of flavors and got a cup. I loved their popping boba topping tho. And they had fresh fruits enclosed in a open top fridge which was really cool. The place looked islandish which was cool. They also had daiquiris but we didn't try them. The service was awesome and we might come back to try the daiquiris

They first established their presence on Seawall in 2019 as an easy to miss shop, smudged between a nail salon and generic beachwear store, before relocating to the east end last month. The new location simply makes sense and I certainly have nothing to complain about; now that they are situated next to UTMB, their target audience can conveniently drop by after a grocery run at Arlan's or a workout at the field house. Their upgraded location may have come with an improvement in drink quality as well. This is my first time visiting, but I had previously heard reports from fellow classmates about their drinks being either "mid" or "just okay". However, my classic milk tea tasted on par with something I'd typically expect in Chinatown. I'd even rank it above certain chain shops in Houston. Granted, classic milk tea is a difficult drink to screw up but nothing about my experience gave me a reason to side with the unimpressed customers today. When choosing a sweetness level, the cashier informed me that their drinks tend to lean toward the sweeter side by default. I can attest to that statement since 50% sweetness still left me more than satisfied. It's not the most mind blowing boba I've ever had, but it is the most viable option on the island. No other shop has dedicated their entire menu to boba teas. Additionally, the polite staff and cutely decorated interior welcome you to stay for a while. I'd take them up on that offer if I were you; once you leave, you're back to Galveston's lackluster sprawl of cement.

My first tea was a green tea base with Peach and Mango mix and boba added. It was on the sweeter side and very refreshing. My next tea was the classic milk tea with boba. It was creamy and savory. In my limited experience this is pretty standard. Overall, this place slaps if you're looking for a nice little morning tea. FREY OUT!

Beaumont-Port Arthur has real international standard Boba, halfway between the two towns! I never saw that coming. I hope the water doesn't contain any petroleum run off. Ahem. We're definitely fans of this brand new Kung Fu Tea for the Nederland Beaumont Port Arthur area, because there really isn't any good Bub Tea in this whole area, not without going to HTX or Laugh@Yeti LA, and this is a very good chain and it's great to have one of these here. Beaumont eh? I would never expect any Boba chain to be here but here it is. Service was okay, not friendly, but not bad. Lost points for closing 30 mins before they were supposed to... we were the last customers out and they turned others away. Thank goodness we didn't show up 10 mins later. Grrr. They didn't have dine in when we came here. The drinks they made were pretty good. Not the best but not the worst. If it wasn't in such a scarcely bobapopulated area (which is an overpopulated area but for boba, like Houston, Flushing, Manhattan, you get the idea), then it might get four stars, especially for closing early. But considering it's the only one for probably nearly a hundred miles in any direction, I definitely give it five stars. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, which is a huge compliment, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha, Tea Top, and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. If it's not on the menu, demand it! Other fruit teas (Orange, Grapefruit, Pineapple) must also be ordered off-menu as Black Tea instead of the meh Green. Also the Lemon Black tastes good as a Lemon Oolong, but everyone else hates it because they have bad taste. The one annoying thing about the chain is the corporate office (they're sketchy) and their rule that no drink can have its tea altered. My Barbi loves Lemon Black Tea And she says that she'll share it with me But she fibs with her lips And then lies with her hips Shakira's full of S, H, I, T. The Lemon Black Tea is the best Like Barbi's shoes or her fake breast It tastes like a dream And can make Barbi cream This boba is better than the rest So instead of showing your crack And being asked to please stop coming back Go to Kung Fu Tea And drink boba with me And I'll share my fave drink: Lemon Black. So if you think your life is now over And your gf won't let you disrobe her And you ask what I think Just come get a drink Kung Fu's Lemon Black Tea with Boba! So if you're sick of pictures of me And the legs and high heels of Barbie There's one antidote Get some balls in your throat Get Lemon Black at Kung Fu Tea!
