I had no problems with my car before I brought it in. I had to go to work, so I drove it home (~11 miles) and over the next two days I drove my car a total of two miles. On Friday, the engine light came on while driving the one mile to work. It was 430 and I called and spoke with a woman who was the rudest person I've ever had to deal with. She asked why I didn't bring it in sooner, I told her I had to work. She basically said it couldn't be their fault because they just did an oil change which wouldn't cause the check engine light to come on. She didn't check with anyone on what might cause that. She said you can come in but we close at five. I had to travel on Sunday and no one is open over the weekend. I asked if they could stay until I got there because I wasn't sure if I would make it before five. She said no. I Paid someone to plug in a diagnostic unit, to find out IT WAS THEIR FAULT. THEY DIDN'T TIGHTEN THE DIPSTICK!!! Will never go there again...the woman on the phone should be reprimanded. Not the way to handle customers.

I mean come on, we wanted the truck pretty bad, it was a unique color and we just drove 8 hours. (Good chance we were leaving with it). I picked around trying to find ANY reason to walk. NOTHING! Well there was one strap holding a tiny wire harness that was broken. And the cover for the battery was lifted up. Gimme a break the 8 year sold truck was like NEW! Financing was convenient and fair. We got a good rate even though our credit is mediocre. I'd happily buy from Lenz any day. All dealerships can learn from this type of place. I've had to replace front struts, axles, ball joints, steering column and now it's having major engine malfunctions And now has been deemed defective. I've had multiple insurance agencies and mechanics look at this truck and every single one says Lenz sold us a lemon. Due to the extensive costs to repair this vehicle I can no longer drive it. I am now over $14k in debt on payments on an unusable vehicle. The cost to fix the front end was $6k and to fix the engine is another $8k. Lenz is aware that this truck is defective and has done nothing. They redirected me to a class action website. Do Not Give Them Your Business!!!

Fortunately, we called Tom from Minocqua Auto Clinic and he saved us. Our AC compressor froze up and the pulley fell off causing the serpentine belt to come off. The car was not drivable and there are no parts for Mercedes in the North Woods. Tom was able to install a shorter serpentine belt and bypass the AC unit. We were back in business and made the 300 mile journey back home without incident. My local service guy was very impressed with what Tom did, he is a lifesaver. Don't hesitate to take your car to Tom, he will take good care of you!!
