We had an absolute blast as a bachelorette party learning some sexy and acrobatic moves!…read more It was a private class so we got lots of one on one attention from 2 instructors. They had a lot of personality and did their best to read us. We went through a small routine learning the moves along the way. They read our level and frequently gave us choices on what we wanted to do next. It was very interactive and all around a great time. They then did a fantastic performance for us as well, which was great because we got to see what pole dancing really looks like... We were all uncoordinated and definitely not dancers, so our awkward flailing was fun, but nowhere near as sexy as the instructors. Overall we had a blast, and I have totally found a new hobby ;)

"Studio X deserves so much love"…read more I'm making a review here because there simply isn't enough! This is a spot that I have gone to multiple times!!! The instructors at this studio are so nice and only bring the most positive vibes to classes. The instructors are also so hands on and supportive of each student that comes in through those doors to dance. Never had I had an experience that felt like I was not good enough or able to do something. My deepest respect goes to instructors Adrienne and GiGi, book with these ladies and I promise you nothing but an amazing experience. Classes go from $25 each and package deals for the student that wants to do more. Thank you studio X for providing a clean proper environment that focuses on the art of pole no matter what size color and age.

I've been on and off the pole for about 4 years, and wanted to start up again. I was able to take advantage of a special promotion they had going on- which is the 2 week unlimited class pass (except for the aerial classes) for $50. A single class is $20, and knowing that I would probably get hooked, I was able to contact the studio and have the $20 class go toward my $50 2 week unlimited class pass granted that I wanted to keep coming back. In addition to the instructors & great promo I was able to get, the other gals that take classes at Studio X are super sweet as well. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone wanting to try/return back to pole.

We did a beachside pole rental from Teazers…read more They can only set up in the Myrtle Beach State Park. I originally thought this would be a giant pain in the butt, but honestly, aside from the drive time, it worked out great. The spot they set it up in had beautiful beach AND pier views, was right next to the beach entrance, and was a short walk (over the beach entrance and down a couple hundred feet) to the bathroom. The bathrooms at the Myrtle Beach State Park were fantastic and better than some restaurant bathrooms I've been in. There IS an $8-per-adult fee to get into the State Park. You can pay with credit card - even at 6AM. We had NO cell service in the State Park with Sprint and T-Mobile, so make sure you have your plans ahead of time. The pole instructor (Harmony!) who brought the pole was on-time, and she showed up in the company car (it's adorable, pink, and easy to find!). As of current, it was a low profile X-Stage Chrome pole. It looks like it heads to the beach often - and it probably has years of use on it too. It's definitely a bit scratchier than most chromes I've ever used. They DO have the Silkiis and silks at their studio, so you might be able to ask to add them to the rental if you wanted; I didn't ask. The instructor was super friendly (a superhuman feat for our sunrise shoot at 6 in the morning), and she stuck around for a bit to make sure we were settled in before giving us some space for the rest of our rental. She offered to take some group shots for us to ensure everyone could get in the picture; it was really nice of her. We also took an in-person class at Teazers while we were here too. The building it's housed in (a Sports Mall) is one of the more unique gyms we've ever been in, but it works for them. (I hope it keeps the rents low!) Teazers is in the right hand corner when you walk in; plan a few extra minutes before class to make sure you can find your way in. We had a great time at the class, and videos/photos are encouraged. The poles are low (due to low ceilings) and are all X-Stage poles. It is a super cute studio with a personality that alternates between "cute" and "sultry". They've managed something cool here!

I signed up for O2 when I lived in Cary, NC and while that location had some issues, this location…read morehas been better. First of all the gym is clean and the equipment seems to be newer. The dumbbells go into the hundreds and they are new or in good shape. There are some machines that should have more than one, but instead there is a good variety. It is trade off that gyms face. The clientele seems to be a mix, but I tend to go when college kids are in there. I see some guys and girls who could or probably do compete in competitions. I like being around serious gym goers who know gym etiquette. The front desk staff is nice and the trainers unlike the Cary location are much nicer and professional. The bathroom and locker room is usually clean as well which is nice. They have towel service here which is great. The gym remains a tad bit more expensive than it should be considering similar gyms which is why I leave off a star, but I enjoy this gym and I train often. Recently O2 bought the Golds Gym locations in Wilmington so this is your only real option for a good/great gym. I've also been doing a lot of RPM classes over the past few weeks and their instructors are great. Adrian and Jose stand out as pretty awesome, but there are others that are good too.
