I immediately note 2019 ???? I've been going to Vanilla DDS regularly since 2015. During my visit on Wednesday, he showed me a big dark cavity at the base of my tooth, then he said the good news. No root canal needed. However, it does need a crown as the solution. I've been telling them for years that I've had a bad taste in my mouth, and they said nothing about the cavity they knew was growing on tooth 32 since 2019. They left that decaying tooth in the back of my mouth until it needed a $900 crown instead of a $50 filling. I've also had other major work done with them. Not a word. Stay away! Unethical at the minimum, evil at most. I literally don't know what to say. No, I have to add this to my list of ways to avoid being taken advantage of.

I went back a third time, got the crown affixed & finished the cleaning finally. I'd already paid over 1k & was asked for nearly $200 more due to their "collection mistake". I paid it, reluctanly, & was told I was squared up. Then several weeks later I get a text demanding over $400 more!!! Their office talked me in circles & kept blaming my insurance company. But this was their mistake. And really a simple crown & a cleaning should cost nearly $2000 out of pocket????? Don't let them pressure you into a "deep cleaning", for one, & secondly...just go somewhere else. It's worth noting that my husband just had emergency dental/oral surgery & it cost him just under $800 WITH our insurance. Make it make sense.

On the day of her appointment, my wife called to mention there was cement on her teeth from a previous retainer and asked if it could be removed before taking molds. She was told maybe, but the doctor was very busy. Then she was quoted $100 more per retainer--$350 each! When we asked why, they said prices had gone up since I got mine, even though my wife was just quoted $250 a few days prior. I also sent an email with screen shots of the amount taken out of my flexible spending account and asked the card be taken off file to prevent further billing. I called to follow up 2x in Feb and was told someone would call back. February 23, 2026 I was billed 811.26. I called and requested to speak to a supervisor but was told there was no one to speak to and a ticket was created. I feel I have been robbed. I am in a different state and have called several times. At this point the office owes me 1081.64.
