    Giant mixed plate
    Loretta J.

We popped to Kulas for lunch one day. We ordered the Giant Mixed Plate (€15) which included Grilled peppers, Iberico ham, Patatas bravas, Calamari, spanish omlette and bread with tomato. There was a perfect amount of food to share. The food was quote basic but it tasted good. My partner and I ordered a litre of Sangria to share for €12.50. It was not quite as flavoursome as I might have liked but we enjoyed it nonetheless and managed almost three glasses each from the jug. If you are looking for a bargain meal than this is your place, but not if you want something that packs a punch.

Watered down sangria and very oily calamari tapas as well as the worst pan con tomato makes this place a no-go for me. About the only decent things were the Patatas Bravas. Free wifi but really weak signal if sitting outside. Coffee was good, service was bad - they didn't give us napkins or eating utensils. Also no toilet paper in the loo:( Also the Pan con Tomate had a funny way (at least to me) of being eaten? We got the bread and tomato and then a bottle of oil to put ourselves - but there is a diff taste when the oil is put straightaway on warm bread vs when the oil is put on cold bread. Didn't like this way-didn't taste great. Would not return, except maybe for coffee.

Love this place. Seriously this is a place you will come back for. Okay maybe it's more for people of my age, 20-35. But definitely the best place of my yearly trip to Barcelona! The guy behind the bar is so passionate about its cocktails that only seeing that makes you happy. How he is making a cocktail it's so spectacular that you forget why you where there even in the first place. Hah! Love. The cocktails are true cocktails. Made with good products and a slight taste of alcohol. Not expensive, because it's true to your money. We tasted many different cocktails, as we made friends with the bartender. Of course. I think his slight Italian accent had also something to do with my love for this bar. Close your eyes, imagine someone is talking passionate about cocktails and has the accent and charm of an Italian..okay maybe this only works for women. Never mind. Great venue, lovely and cozy bar, great spot to start your nights. Whatever your up to next. I want to go baahaaack !!!

Very good ham and cheese croquettes and tasty manchego cheese chorizos. But the best thing was the refreshing Moscow mules. Good view for people watching too. A good place to start your evening off and/or end it.

Great bar, wonderful atmosphere, friendly folks. Took a cocktails class here - loads of fun - and the tapas were incredible!

This bar was voted Top 50 bars in the world. If you are visiting Barcelona, this is definitely…read moreworth a visit! Do expect a wait time or enter their queue when it opens to expedite that process. We started there one night and there was a long line out the door. We decided not to wait as it was already midnight (late for us!) and come back the next night. I'm glad we did, because there was minimal line and we entered the queue before anyone else, so we were able to enter rather quickly. It was the coolest speakeasy vibe and fun ambiance. We sat at the bar and quickly observed the menu. The menu was lit up, which I thought was pretty unique. It took a little bit of time for the server to assist us, but it was evident she was super busy. My drink came in a skull with a "brain" that was actually edible sorbet. It was vodka and not too strong but also not too sweet. Honestly, I wish I had more! My husband ordered somewhat of an old fashion that he said was the best he ever had. Highly recommend if you're in Barcelona!

If you are into novelty cocktail bars, Paradiso is definitely a great place to check out! I arrived…read morearound 7pm to a decently sized line; my party of 2 didn't get seated until 30-45 minutes afterwards. I did read that there would be QR code for a virtual queue, but we didn't see that option and just ended up waiting in line ourselves. I was worried Paradiso would have a snobby vibe to it, since it is ranked #4 in the world, but that wasn't the case at all! The servers were very friendly and the cocktails were genuinely delicious. There's also a sense of theatre when they present you with their specialty cocktails. For example, I ordered the Gravity cocktail (reminiscent of an espresso martini), and our server brought it in an interesting bowl meant to mimic a black hole and also gave a little background story to the cocktail. They provide menus in Spanish, Catalan, and English. Servers also speak English as well, so communication is not an issue. The interior is gorgeous and and had great moody lighting, there was also a great playlist on with classic pop songs. Their cocktail menu is unique and as previously mentioned, I especially loved their presentation. Most of their drinks are served in some funky cup or bowl, it was so fun seeing the servers bring out other cocktails to other tables. Overall, a 5/5 experience for me!

Really enjoyed this bar and we can see why it's been named in the top 50 bars…read more The bartender was really engaging with the people which we enjoyed. The drinks were 8/10 The ambiance was generic but we had a good time. Definitely recommend trying it.

Wow did we want to give this place 5 stars…read more The bartenders were great and welcoming and the decor was very cool. It is a pleasant place to be physically. All of the cocktails we tried were excellent (we had two more not featured on photos here). We went Sunday 4/19 around open (5pm ish until 7:30 ish). However, our experience was sort of ruined when a female employee came over and chided my wife and two other American patrons we were talking to for being too loud. They weren't being particularly loud and at this point we were the only four people sitting at the bar itself. She was not a bartender (at that time at least) and she completely ruined our vibe with this complaint. She had been eyeing one of the other American patrons we had been talking to before she came over and confronted my wife after she laughed. The bar tenders didn't seem to be aware this happened and when we were closing out they remarked they didn't think we had been loud and that they like their guests to have fun. This female employee apparently didn't get the memo! We sense that perhaps she just dislikes Americans, which would be rich for working at an establishment like this! She also had no issues when a dog other guests brought in barked loudly multiple times, each time silencing the entire bar because the barks were so booming. The other American couple felt the same way -- the stern talking to just ruined the experience for all four of us. So... great spot but our experience was unnecessarily tarnished by a jerk employee!!!
