I've reviewed the studio already; wanted to add a word about yin class with Nikki…read more I have a great appreciation for those who can steadily inspire with skillful verbal cues. Nikki has those skills in abundance. During the exercise portion and at various points when meditation is cultivated, I found her words to be heaven sent: extremely helpful in achieving a desired state of mind. Nikkk also seems genuinely happy when she greets students. This facilitates the experience in the nicest way. I think she is living the dream, and am so happy to share the joy of yoga with her as an aspirational example

Remember when you were a child and your favorite thing on the playground was the monkey bars? Your…read more7 year old self would grab on and swing, doing flips off the bar, hanging upside down from your knees. Somehow, somewhere in the ensuing 40 years, fear crept in where there was none. Responsibility weighed you down and playing in the air wasn't your favorite thing anymore. After taking the aerial yoga class, playing in the air is my favorite thing to do again. The silks wrap around you, soft, pliable and strong like an exuberant hug from your favorite adventurous aunt. Let your fear go, let the years of worry fade away and trust the silks. Trust yourself and your body. Know that you are stronger and more capable than you've allowed yourself to be in a long time. After one aerial class, I am hooked. This is more than a fitness class that burns away my naughty cupcake calories I didn't say "no" to. It is an experience that affects mind, body and soul if you open yourself up to it. For me, as a child, cavorting on the iron monkey bars made me feel light. We were released from the confines of classroom walls and unforgiving wooden desks to revel in the glorious free time of recess. Now, wrapping myself in aerial silks that will twist tight to hold me as a woven steel cable would or stretch wide to support me while I nestle inside its silken cocoon, recaptures that feeling I had when I was young. Flying Aerial yoga reminded me of the mental wings that I'd forgotten I had.

I went for the first time to this studio for a private lesson in silks. I was given great feed back on how I can improve. I learned new tricks that challenged my knowledge and avariety of ways of getting in and out of tricks. Transistions are my favorite, so learning new transistions made my world. The best thing I learned was how to fall out of the apparatus safetly. Best Information ever. That took away alot of my fear with aerial. I can't wait to go back again.

Our Style Although we offer group classes, they are structured for individual based learning. We tend to take an organic approach with each student's progression - understanding that there are endless ways to receive and apply information. Skill Level Our classes include beginners, intermediate and advanced level students. With a mixed level atmosphere, our students are able to encourage, inspire and root for one another. Attire Please consider gravity when dressing for class, and prepare to become inverted at times. For comfort and protection on the silks, especially as a beginner, form fitted clothing that covers the back of your knees, torso, and upper arms are recommended. Disciplines Aerial Silks and Acrobatics are the group classes offered weekly. If you are interested in a different apparatus or skill, we can incorporate it into the group lesson easily by swapping out a silk, or dependent on room, a private lesson can be booked.

AERIALISTS and PARENTS of Aerialists BEWARE. One day, the owner Barrie Michaels will have you…read moreconvinced you're a family friend and the next she is verbally abusing your child in class. This environment is unfit for adolescent ladies and young girls. If you want your child to develop healthy body image and good self esteem DO NOT send them here. On numerous occasions, Coach Barrie asks their weight and has gone as far to say, "Im an adult, I only weigh 10 lbs more than you". She also accuses you of being dis-loyal if anything comes in between aerials. She doesn't support multiple sport athletes and goes as far to demean them in class and behind their backs! She will turn on you like the plague, when you have other commitments. Expressing your feelings means nothing to her. She is an entitled narcissist woman who preys on young girls because they are easier to control. She will convince parents that she is a healthy role model, but take my warning seriously! I tried to address my concerns before this low review and gave the owner, Barrie Michaels multiple opportunities to make amends. She continues to spew nonsense. She is trash. Beware! This review will never be removed, because of the disrespect my family has endured since 2/19/24. Many of her students have reached out to my family in sheer disgust of how she yells and has spoken about my family. It's gone as far as having to involve an attorney. The fact Ive paid monthly tuition for 8 years and this is what Im dealing with is appalling.

Not only is it fun (yes, you can have fun, but be respectful), it is an incredible work out that makes you want to keep coming back. I have lost 2 pants sizes already and I am still going! Regarding some of those negative reviews... please take accountability for yourselves and your actions...when you are a group of young girls coming for fun or a bachelorette party, you need to book a private class. Most of us in there take this seriously, it is a workout, it is our hour to decompress from the stress of life. So when you come in and are rowdy, not following directions, and causing a commotion, it's disrespectful and we are going to say something to you. You don't go to 24 hour fitness and act crazy, this is the same, respect the class/instructors/and others around you. Elizabeth is an incredible instructor and human and if she was "rude" to you, it was because she is running a business and you are being disrespectful to her and her other clients.
