As soon as I saw the Filipino-inspired logo and menu, I knew I had to make the trip over to try KuBoba! It looks like the shop had a recent change in ownership/rebrand maybe? All of the imagery on the walls had "Dragon Tea" branding. Well, I was really excited to try their Sago Gulaman Fiesta drink, as a Filipino, as that is not an option you can find too often at boba spots. It was really good -- authentic but with the added tapioca boba, which was actually quite pleasant. The siomai was pretty dry unfortunately, it did taste like it was frozen and microwaved. I did really appreciate the service however! The girl working was hustling all on her own and it was relatively busy for a weekday evening. Shoutout to her for holding it down all on her own!

Guys this is a must try boba spot not for the boba but for their cookies! I absolutely loved the ube and pandan cookies, it was really soft and gooey on the middle but nice crust on the sides. Their chicken was also great and overall the pricing is extremely fair. The inside is a bit small with like 3 tables but still enough spots, and the server was nice and gave us some recommendations. Also this is one of the few boba spot that gives boba for free in the drinks and doesn't charge for it.

Not a great place took over 20 minutes just to get two drinks and it wasn't busy at all.

This is hands down the best Iced latte in Phoenix…read more We've been coming here since they opened and we frequent at least 2-3 times a week. Their Banana Bread Latte is to die for, if you like banana and even if you don't like banana you need to have this latte. Their staff is so friendly and it's also such a great place to open up a computer and get work done. They're about to be open earlier and on Mondays as well! The best is yet to come!

Live right in the neighborhood and was curious to try this spot out & finally got to today…read more I was hit with a delicious smell of banana as soon as I walked in and was instantly pulled to the pastry case. I was planning on trying the bagels, but as a NYer I am very picky, and since it wasn't a typical bagel shop and they only had a few bagels available (like 9 on display), I decided to go for the banana bread since that's what I smelled as I walked in. I also snagged a piece of coffee cake and a vanilla Chai latte. I was a little shocked by the sticker price at the end for a small tea and 2 pastries ($19), but it is Ahwatukee after all, and the bread and coffee cake slices were huge!! I cut them in half to share with my roommate when I got back home. The tea was whipped perfectly and it was delicious but still a little sweet even with asking for light vanilla, but I still enjoyed it. The coffee cake was rich and sweet and moist. It was really good but also very sweet. The banana bread won it all and is what gave the extra star to bring it to 4stars. It was perfectly baked, not overly sweet, warm, and scrumptious. It reminded me of my mom's banana bread & made me want to bake some of my own!! The space is a decent size and really neat and clean. The bikes on the wall are cool, and love the wall with merchandise and other goodies. It's a great spot to meet friends for coffee, to study, or do some work. Great little neighborhood spot to support local!!!

I considered getting the strawberry matcha, but got the mango matcha instead because my friend had tried it before and really liked it. I was happy with my decision, as the mango tasted very fresh. They had a few sweet and savory pastries, but I didn't try any. We sat on the comfy, cushioned chairs and chatted for nearly two hours! It's a relatively small space and can get pretty quiet at times, so I hope we weren't too loud lol. I would definitely come back here again. Note: They're not open on Sundays. We had planned to go on a Sunday a couple of weeks before, then realized that it wasn't open.

He unfortunately ran out of matcha so we were only able to order 2 but they were so good. My brother got the vanilla rose matcha and I got the mango matcha. Vanilla rose matcha was light with a very strong matcha flavor. Rose was very light and didn't taste a lot of the vanilla rose but it was still good. Mango matcha was pretty sweet. The mango puree was fresh and a great addition to the matcha. My husband got the French vanilla coffee which was also pretty good. Overall, the coffee/matcha was great quality and the staff was friendly. Super cute interior and would definitely come back when I'm in Arizona.

The parking lot was very busy, and hard to maneuver. This will likely deter me returning to this location in the later afternoon/evening, but I imagine parking is easier in the morning. Upon entering, I noticed lots of cozy seating and work stations as those are the most used reasons to visit a coffee shop. My boyfriend was nestled in a couch like seating with a coffee table. Definitely perfect for him waiting for me to pick him up when I finished work. He remarked about the records on the wall, and lots of the decor as it was a cutesy coffee shop. For my coffee beverage, I ordered a flat white as it's a good indicator of a decent coffee shop. Happy to report they passed the raw sugar test (put raw sugar on top and quality foam should hold up the sugar). They have great espresso and use one of the best espresso machines I've seen at coffee shops (La Marzocco). Loved the flavor and the foam was divine! Definitely return here for the coffee alone as it's worth braving the parking lot.

It was delightful and distinct with the date syrup and rose water. Next time I would choose almond milk because the oatmilk (+1. ) overpowered the delicate rose notes. To my surprise, gluten free food options were available at this non chain business. A chocolate chip almond cookie, peppermint bark cheesecake and an almond cake all tempted me. I went with the almond cake and enjoyed the fresh, moist, sweet treat that was topped with toasted slivered almonds. Winner. Even though I think the tab was a tad high for a morning coffee break ($16.36) I would return. I enjoyed my time here while observing the local patrons interact neighborly with each other. The homey community vibe oozed throughout this cafe which Starbucks doesn't provide. A charming cafe that seats 35 patrons inside and approximately 18 people outside. Stop on by.

Bernedette and everyone helping out there were genuinely some of the kindest, most genuine people I've met. You can tell they really care about every single customer, not just in how they serve the drinks, but in how they treat people. It felt less like just going to a cafe and more like being welcomed into a positive, friendly environment. And the matcha is on a whole different level. You can tell it's made with care and real attention to quality. It's smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, not too bitter and not too sweet, just exactly how matcha should taste. It honestly might be the best matcha I've ever had. Every sip felt intentional, like they truly take pride in what they're creating. What really stood out to me though was the combination of amazing drinks and even better people. That's rare. A lot of places might have great drinks but average service, or nice people but nothing special on the menu. Matcha Bae Cafe somehow does both at a really high level. It made the whole experience feel special and something I'd want to come back to again and again. You can tell this isn't just a business to them, it's something they genuinely care about and put their heart into. That shows in every detail, from the atmosphere to the quality of the drinks to the way they interact with customers. I'll definitely be coming back, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants not just great matcha, but a great experience overall.
