Worst pedicure I've ever had :( called and made an appointment for 2:30. Arrived on time, chose a color, then waited for another 10 minutes. At that point the manager walked by me and said "oh sorry I forgot about you". Another 10 mins went by before I was led to my chair, putting us at 2:50 pm. The pedicure itself was fine, my nails look ok, there was a 5 minute light pressure leg massage, and that was it. No scrub or anything. It wasn't relaxing at all. I was done at 3:15 (that is a 25 minute no-frills pedicure) and it cost FIFTY DOLLARS. FIFTY DOLLARS for 20 minutes in a chair getting my toes painted. The price list she showed me said $35, when I questioned the price she said "oh gel is $15 more". I will never be back and I'll let everyone else know what a waste of money this place is! read more

My nails were done by John. He doesn't speak much English. I needed a fill and asked for sunflower nail art with black French tips. I had an example picture on my phone to show him. Another employee relayed this to John and after some back and forth between them she said he could do it. Example picture below. When he takes out his fill powder I stop him and ask what kind of powder it is. The lid only said clear. He doesn't understand the question so the other employee comes over again. I ask her and she says acrylic. I said that I don't want acrylic and ask for fiberglass instead. My current set was gel powder. Fiberglass is an option on their menu. There was confusion at my request because a 2nd employee got involved, said she didn't know if they had fiberglass powder, and chatted with the first lady (not in English), all while I had to repeatedly stop John from starting my fill with this powder. The 1st lady got on the phone with someone (not in English) and it sounded like she was asking if they had fiberglass powder. She comes back and says the powder is fiberglass. I remind her that she just told me the powder was acrylic. The 2 ladies chat again and the 1st lady finally says, "This is clear powder. It's better than acrylic and fiberglass." I almost short-circuit. I briefly debated leaving, but I decided to just let this play out and accept the powder. Before we get to the polish I can clearly see the line from the original set under this fill. I call the 2nd female employee over, let her know that I asked for a French and ask if that line will show. She asks John something in his language, then confirms to me that the lines will indeed show. I say fine and go over to pick a different color since my nails now need to be painted all the way. I still wanted the sunflowers, though, and reminded John. He pulls out some other powder and starts sculpting a plumeria on my nail. He shows it to me before it's almost finished and asks if I like it. I tell him it is nice but not what I asked for. He asks to see the example picture again, A YELLOW AND ORANGE SUNFLOWER, then takes the plumeria off and gets out some yellow polish. He did one flower and it looked like a kindergartner had done it. All I could do was laugh and shake my head. I was beyond ready to leave at this point. He takes off the sunflower attempt and pulls out a box with various shapes and rhinestones. I quickly picked a couple triangles for him to stick on and that was that. Here's where things get extra dicey. Before my nails were done, the 2nd female employee finished with her client and I asked her if she could confirm if they were just out of fiberglass powder today or if they never had it. She said she would find out after she checked out her client, but she never came back to give me an answer. When my nails were done, I went to the front to pay. A 3rd female employee came in sometime in the middle of all this, worked on a pedicure with the 1st female employee, then finished with her clients, and she was the one checking me out now. She told me that my total was discounted because John felt bad for not being able to communicate with me. I asked her about the fiberglass, and she said what I had received was fiberglass and that they discontinued using acrylic powder some time ago. She also said that the other employees didn't actually know what the salon had and didn't have. I let her know that it was deeply concerning that they were the ones I needed to rely on for information since she hadn't been there in the beginning, and that they shouldn't be advising customers and other employees on matters they don't know about. I asked for their names, and this 3rd woman asked why I needed them. I let her know that I wanted to file a complaint with the Board of Cosmetology. She asked if it was because my manicurist didn't speak English (I'm not joking). I repeated my issue and said that I felt that I had been repeatedly lied to, and expressed concern that this salon may be committing fraud by advertising services/products that they don't actually have, but telling customers that they got what was asked for. Both acrylic and fiberglass are listed on the product menu. I asked again for their names, and she told me that the man's name was John. I asked for the name on his license (I had taken pictures of the 3 individual licenses on the wall by the nail stations), but she refused to give me his real name nor hers nor the other 2 ladies. I asked if she was the owner (behind her was another license with the name of the owner), and she said she wasn't. I decided not to argue further and left. I had photos of 3 licenses for manicurists in this salon, but there were 4 manicurists in the salon when I left. ‍ Long story short, use caution if you're going to come here and know what you want. The staff here cannot effectively explain nor communicate, and they will lie rather than say they don't have it or don't know how to do it. read more

Reading the reviews I'm shocked that this was even the same place! I showed up for a fiberglass full set with no appointment and was seen right away. Ama was super experienced and professional. I ended up chatting with all 5 women working there as I was the only customer. They all got along really well and were super friendly to me. Whenever they weren't speaking English one would turn and tell me what they said. I've never had that happen at a nail salon before. For $32 I got a full set of fiberglass nails, lovely design, and gel. That is a WONDERFUL price! I told Ama it was for a special event. She took her time and didn't miss a thing. I've never had a salon leave my skin so free of fiberglass, and even Dremmel the underside of my nail. It was hands down the BEST manicure I've ever had. My only complaint is that at the sink was 1 nail brush and it was just laying on the side of the wash basin. I didn't use it. Everything else in the store looked very clean and new. Went here for the nice Groupon (shellac/pedi/mani)- price was only reason to go back, and that is a stretch for us. 'Called at 1:00 and they gave us an appt at 4pm. When we arrived, it looked clean, well decorated, and quiet. NO one greeted us (except "please pick color") or let us know they were running behind and that we would not be seen for one HOUR. How can you NOT notify us we will have to wait that long-even 30m behind? All of the staff seemed depressed, rarely spoke to each other, and no one was in a rush to take care of things between clients. There was just no energy in the room. No wonder they're always behind. We left after 45m, at which point they tried to talk us into waiting another 15m, to get coffee and debate leaving altogether. When we got back, my gf and I were seated next to each other for the pedi at least, but she was the only one worked on for 15m before I got started. Maybe they were short staffed? No one communicated to me when I would be started which made me anxious. Then the leg massage I got was more a lotion rub-in, and her nails raking the bottom of my feet were uncomfortable, and there was a long black hair on the steamed towel she used. The manicure part of the nail job was swift since they were closing down now anyway, and no hand massage (not sure if that is standard everywhere in the first place- i always get it every where else, so don't expect it here i guess). We were not sat next to each other, and the positioning of the tiny desks anyway is not conducive to socializing. There were nail clippings on the desk at which she did my nails. Great pedi and Mani!! I run...so my toenails are black and falling off. When I get a pedicure its like the elephant in the room. No one says anything. But the lady doing my nails let me know that my nail was coming off and she needed to remove it so that the "baby nail"growing under can get air otherwise it will trap moisture under and be nasty. Which is true...She was gentle and painted over where my nail would normally be so no one is none the wiser...lol... Got gel mani...very good very relaxing. I read these reviews and was skeptical. I have been to the other KT by Whole Foods off Arden/Eastern...they are always PACKED!! So tried it anyway... Glad I did. I had a great experience with the ladies I dealt with. Very relaxing. This place is interesting to say the least. They are both really clean and really dirty. Clean in that their instruments are wrapped in plastic, they wear gloves for pedicures, and their pedicure tubs are lined with plastic. Dirty in that their floor is covered in nails dust, clipped toe nails, and skin. I got their groupon for a spa pedicure and a shellac manicure for less than $25. I had made a reservation, but still had to wait about 20 minutes as there were only 5 ladies working (two giving pedicures, one giving a manicure, and one doing hair) with 8 customers in various places. The manicure was decent; my only gripes would be that my nails aren't evenly filed and there was no massage. The pedicure was standard, though they rubbed a little lotion on my legs, painted my nails and called it a day. No massage, which was a bummer. They do have a wide variety of shellac colors, and a nice selection of regular polish as well. If you're looking for a standard paint job, then get the groupon. Otherwise I'd skip it, especially if you are looking for the pampered experience. Update: they don't clean the tubs between use. They dump out the bags into the tubs and then put a new bag in. And they use cold water for both the hand and feet tubs. read more

Today I had my nail done both gel pedicure and manicure. The pedicure is alright but not excellent compare to what I had before at other place. But my big disappointment was my manicure lady name Phuong I originally asked her to have designed in one of my nail but she told me nobody can do it or maybe she didn't know how to do it. She never asked anyone in her peers if anyone knows how. I just could not believed it that a nail salon does not know how to do it or maybe I was on the wrong place. All she did to me was put a silver polish over my nail. I was very disappointed that I want my money back or yet never come back there anymore. This place is...interesting. I bought the Groupon for shellac mani / pedi. Its very quiet. I immediately noticed that they use mini finger nail files, mini scrubbers and mini buffers. I guess this is good so they can just dispose each after one use. Great idea! The girl who did my pedi didn't speak to me, but they spoke to each other (in their language). My pedicure was interesting. She seemed non-interested, but she did a good job. She barely put effort into scrubbing my feet though. At the same time as my pedi, there was a girl doing my mani. She was a big rough, but did a good job. The shellac nail machine sat on my lap the whole time. Once my feet were done they "shuffled" me out, even though my toes were not dry yet. They did a "good" job, but they are not personable, no magazines, no tv, no talking. Nothing special. It's your average place. My appt was at 3pm. Beautiful and clean! They have 10 pedicure chairs and 4 manicure stations. The have a few chairs in the back for hair cuts, style, color, etc. We came here for a groupon and service was great. They are a little quiet but that's ok for me. The gal who did my shellac was quick, detailed, but efficient. My sister and I got mani/pedis here and it wasn't great. My sister's fingers bled a little because her manicurist was pretty rough. She also forgot to put any lotion on her hands/arms. My pedicure is nice but my gel manicure is still showing some of my fingernail under the color. We picked our colors and It took about 10 min for someone by the name of Kim to help us. Finally one of us was sat down while the other waited. Nails were wrapped and Kim proceeded to remove gel from one hand. She did a half *** job left the clear gel on my friends nails. She asked my friend to wait for her other hand to soak while she wrapped my nails. She wrapped my nails and told me someone would be with us. 15-20 min still no one had started on our nails so my friend started removing the gel on all of my nails. 45 min still no has helped us, we got up and left the place and no one even apologized Kim simply said ok and let us walk out. MORAL of the story this place was not customer friendly, service was horrible, don't expect much with a groupon to a nail salon. They frown upon it eventhough they are participating in it. read more

I used to go to their Arden Way location and always had a decent experience there. My friend and I made an appointment a week in advance for a gel mani/pedi. We got there on time and the owner told us to sit and wait. Wait we did... For a full HOUR after our appointment time. They have a great selection of polish and gel colors. They started working on other people who came in 45 minutes after us. By that time, I was livid. The girl who did my pedicure then moved me to a manicure station. The girl who did my friends pedicure left her sitting in the chair for 45 minutes and went to do someone else's pedicure. So my friend had to wait for my mani to be done and then my girl did hers also. What is usually a 90 minute trip took over THREE HOURS. I will be going back to my usual KB Nails spot - they do your mani at the same time and I never have to wait. read more

I bought a groupon deal to get my nails done for my birthday. Got gel mani with spa pedi for $23 -Really good deal and did NOT disappoint! I got a subtle glitter polish with french tips (additional $5 for french tips). The lady who gave me a pedi really took her time & the lady who gave me a mani was quick but both lasted about 5wks!! I set up an appt for a groupon to get a mani pedi as a present for my sister while I was in town for her birthday weekend and called before we left her house to make sure the time still worked since we were limited on time due to the fact that we had someone watching her kids. I've never had a worst experience with customer service than I did with this business. They didn't acknowledge us when we walked in and when we asked for their attention they just muttered to go grab some nail polish and sit in the corner. We sat there for about 45 minutes and watched other customers have the same experience and end up walking out because they did not schedule and staff appropriately. We stood up and walked over hoping they would acknowledge us, apologize, give us more information...anything really but again, ignored us. I asked for an update and they (without any eye contact), mentioned that it'd be awhile longer. If we hadn't asked, we would've been sitting there for at least an hour and a half after our appt just wondering what was going on. We couldn't commit to almost 3 hours for a mani pedi and so had to walk out. We mentioned our concerns and they just mocked us and laughed. What was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon away from kids, on her birthday, spending time with my sister who lives states away from me, turned into a stressful experience and waste of time. Not only that, but now I have to try and hope I can get a refund since I live 10 hours away and won't be able to return before the groupon expires. I would not recommend using this business as your place for mani pedis from our experience and the experience of at least 3 others that were there that afternoon. Save yourself the time and frustration - there are plenty of other places to get your nails done that will treat you right and respect your time. read more

Completely terrible. I got a gel acrylic full set and after three days four nails had fallen off. I called the salon to ask for a refund and the woman told me to come in and she would fix the ones that have fallen off I go in and she fixed them for free but two days after that the ones she had just fixed had fallen off. I called to get them fixed on a Friday and the manager was not there so they told me to call on Monday. I called today which is Monday and they told me it's been too long and will not refund me or fix them for me for free. They said that it was normal to fall off after three days. Then told me the oils on my skin could cause them to fall off after three days. I told her that I've had my nails done many times and gel could last up to 3 weeks and she was completely shocked that nails last that long. All in all don't waste money there read more
