I have taken all of Dr. Manousso's training except the initial 40 hour & family law training which I took through the Harris county dispute resolution center. In fact, I repeated her elder mediation training in 2022 because I wanted a refresher & to learn more. My biggest complaint about her elder mediation training is that I wish it was 10 hours longer to discuss how to deal with diffcult, angry people at mediation. Once you take her class, you can repeat the class for free - what a generous offer! I might not agree with her on everything but she has a passion and commitment to elevate the field of mediation. For full disclosure, she refers her family law cases with children to me since I've also been a licensed TX attorney over 33 years. I take at least 15 hours of advanced mediation training each year. Each year I take legal continuing legal training classes & advanced mediation training to continue to elevate my skills. Every teacher's approach is a bit different. Even after 20 years, I'm still learning. I refer many people to Dr. Manousso for her trainings. Unfortunately in TX I'm aware of some unethical people that take people's money but deliver an inferior product. In summary, only take a training by a trainer endorsed by the Texas Mediator Trainers Roundtable (TMTR). I encourage people to take mediation training from different people because each trainer's approach is unique and each brings different strengths to the training process.

Most of the class is watching a video and receiving lecture. The last hour is followed up by a brief hands on technique with a mannequin that you will get to do once while the instructor guides you through. A quick 5 minute overview on how to use the IV pump is talked about but not really included in the class. You receive a certificate at the end of the course. You're not going to leave the class being proficient in IV certification but you will have basic knowledge. Remember the class is only a few hours long. It is a good class for someone who already is a nurse and needing to add to their skill level since nurses have already studied the material. A nursing/medical background will be better in order to comprehend some of the terminology which is why the IV pump machine is not spoken about. You can pay when you get there in person if you aren't sure about the legitimacy of the institution and if paying online seems risky. I did not see any reviews when I signed up so I was skeptical before taking the course. However, it's a straight forward class to take and I would recommend it to a friend. You also are given some literature to take home.

I felt like i wasn't properly certified to operate a forklift and after trying this business I see why. The instructor Victor at Sal Safety Solutions was very knowledgeable/ patient and professional, he showed me videos about safety/ maintenance and forklift procedures and I took the written part , which I passed, but I was so nervous I made a lot of mistakes on the forklift, upon finishing the class ,Victor was honest with me and said he couldn't give me my certificate because of the mistakes I made, which I respected his decision , he explained to me why( which I already figured) but allowed me to come back the next day to get more practice on the forklift , I did and I did much better, I was then given my certificate, which is how it's supposed to be done.. Then I scheduled a drive time for the demonstration part of getting certification, additional $40 fee, for a total of $100 to get certificate which is valid for 3 years. I had NEVER driven one of these before. He made the instruction very simple, 1. do this, then, 2. do this next. He has a back ground in safety in industrial work places, so I felt very assured I was going to be learning how to do this new job 'by the book'. They demonstrate their COVID-aware work place perfectly, too. Sign in table well away from receptionist, given plastic gloves and access to hand sanitizer before going to fork lift. Advised to bring own mask. Office clean and neat. Bathroom on site, if needed. Three forklift to train with, all in working order. Best part was getting comfortable with the machine, knowing 'I CAN DO THIS'!
