I really wanted to love my experience at Rachael's Nails because there is so much potential here…read more The salon itself is super clean, neat, and beautifully decorated. The atmosphere is calm, and everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and kind, which I really appreciated. I had a young man as my nail tech, and while he was very sweet and clearly trying his best, I think he may need a bit more training, especially with dip powder. I came in with a few dip nails lifting and had to cut them super short. I asked for very short oval or almond-shaped nails, showed reference photos, and politely explained what I was hoping for. However, I had to repeat a few things multiple times, including wanting all my nails the same short length. In the end, the shape came out round, not quite what I asked for, which was disappointing. The appointment took from 12 to 3 PM, and after sitting for so long, my back was in pain. I had to keep shifting and eventually asked to move to a different chair, which they were kind enough to allow, though I wish someone had checked in earlier to make sure I was comfortable. There was also a mix-up with the top coat. When he applied it, it stayed gummy, and the manager or owner had to step in and completely redo the dip, taking time away from another customer. I felt really bad about that. Even after the fix, the final product unfortunately wasn't up to par. It's now only been a week, and the dip is already lifting and catching in my hair, when normally it lasts me three weeks. As for my pedicure, the woman who worked on my toes was great, also very nice and gentle. But again, I had to politely repeat my preferences for shape and length a couple of times before it was right. All in all, the people here are lovely, the salon is immaculate, and there's a lot to appreciate. But from my experience, I'd say there's still room for improvement in technique and customer comfort during long appointments. I also found the price to be a bit higher than expected, especially given the quality and longevity of the dip. I truly hope the young tech gets the training and support he needs. He has a great attitude and demeanor, which is a solid foundation. I'd love to return in the future once they've had a bit more experience under their belt.

I didn't know that if you were a client it was completely unacceptable to politely let your lash lady know that the previous set of lashes had come off. Never do this or apparently they block you from ever booking again and block you on every other outlet... what the what?!? Yesterday I went in for my routine fill- this only being my second time ever at this salon I thought I should let her know that the classic set she did came off within a week- i mean- that's my job right? As a client ? To let them know if something had happened? She immediately told me she saw my pictures on Facebook from a family photo session and told me that it was because I wore eyeliner? Ummm what? I've had lashes for almost 10 years and switched to her because she convinced me she had better service and better product. She told me she was going to give me a free volume set- i told her that wasn't necessary and I would gladly pay for whatever a fill cost because that's why I was there and I wanted to remain a client for years to come. I don't like moving around... Well after my appointment she told me she had refunded me my deposit and told me i was done "happy Halloween " she said snarkily as I was about to leave. I brushed it off and asked again if there was any way I could pay her for the fill she said no, and when i mentioned coming back for a 2 week fill she said "ummm i don't know your eyelash regimen...." i was so shocked i didn't even know what to say.... so I said oh okay well I'll book online when i get home. While I was filling out their form, the woman at the front told me I didn't need to fill it out. I had already written my name, so I was simply trying to remove the paper from the clipboard, and who I'm assuming is the bitchy owner everyone talks about in the reviews literally SNATCHED the paper out of my hand while I was taking it off. Then I was told the wait would be about 25 minutes, told to come back, and basically rushed out the door. I wasn't asking for anything complicated and there was absolutely no reason for the interaction to be that rude or uncomfortable. If this is how you treat someone walking through the door for a simple service, I definitely don't want to spend my money here. Not that they care, but I won't be back.

Jenny did not rush and took the time to explain to me the process and what tattooing the eyebrows actually is . It's good for anyone like me that literally was thinking a permanent tattoo on the face because it's definitely not that in this sense . We don't have very many stylists today. That's their fault not the customers. It's not like they're gonna pay your gas money. Call you five minutes before your appointment so unprofessional I don't care if the person just emailed or not.
