Great portions clearly all made fresh. I order here often. Sometimes the food takes a while or there might be something missing/wrong if they are busy but I think it is because they get overwhelmed, it's only 1-2 people cooking/taking orders. Very kind and accommodating when adjustments are needed. Everything tastes delicious. The egg rolls are massive and have a lot of shrimp inside. Prices are great. A really good local spot. Carryout only due to the layout inside although there are tables if really necessary. read more

Where do I start? I am a long time costumer. I have been going to Krystal since the day she opened. Her food never disappoints. Always fresh, always delicious, and always HUGE portions. my brother in law told us about Krystal. we tried with takeout. best dinner we ever had. the shrimp dinner we had the shrimp were largest I ever had and there were so many.the bag was very heavy.we had leftovers for the next day. we have been going there for the past 3 years.all the items we orded have never been a disappoint we tell my frinds about this place. K V C R does have really large, and delicious egg rolls like a lot my fellow Yelpers have mentioned, and if I was in the vicinity I would stop for a couple of these tasty appetizers. The hot and sour soup had a kind of sweet taste to it, which is different than any other H&S soup that I have ever had, even so. it was pretty tasty with nice shreds of pork along with a lot of soft tofu. Fat serving. As far as I know she stopped selling small servings all together. It's a hole in the wall, used to be a restaurant now takeaway only.. since the pandemic. As far as I can tell it's an older lady who runs everything and a husband that stays in the back cooking. Not the cleanest place. If you call and she says 20 minutes you're probably fine to show up in 20 mins. But if she tells you 45 minutes and you get there in 45 minutes, you could be waiting with more people than chairs.. you might be standing for a bit as she pops in and out of the kitchen to answer the phone or ring people up. That's when the regulars try to subtly get her attention, to say "I'm here!", as she runs around frantically in and out of the kitchen. Customers never really complain though because everyone loves the large, inexpensive portions. The food is also pretty good. That is, if you don't mind a bit of salt and the occasional hair in your food. Also, If she likes you, or thinks she made you wait too long, she'll offer you a free ice cold beverage. Krystal WHY? When you tell us 40-45mins for basic menu Chinese food,we get there in 50min and wait another 30 min,it`s waay to long for 430 on a Friday. We live a good distance away and have heard nothing but good things and finally got to try this.As others said the egg rolls are huge and very tasty. Their menus are dated and only offer large not small as printed. Prices on almost everything went up from print and they do tell you that on phone. I enjoyed my spare rib combo,ribs good and meaty fried rice was a bit greasy. The containers they use are cheap and leaky.We had 2 diff dishes spill out into our bag making a huge mess before we even left the parking lot. It`s a little sketch,and could use a scubdown.I did not feel like it was `unhealthy` eating from there but its old and tired and unkempt. The tube tv hanging at the entry,the pile of Atlantic COunty Yellow pages in the windo from 2002-2009 and the sun yellow newspapers in the wait area were 2016-19. The former dining areas have the look and feel of 1984. Obviously this place has seen better days.The dining area closed off still. The mom & pop operations seems to be just that-a couple that does it all and maybe thats why it takes so long. The woman is super sweet and the only reason this is not a 2 or less. They look like they have been at it a while and are going through the motions to get by and make a living.They could have something special by a spruce up,indoor dining and maybe a few specials? I get it maybe they can`t get help. I bet people would travel here to eat if it was to standard.I was HOPING for a `destination` Chinese food place,but sadly it wouldn`t be worth teh nearly 1hr drive for us to get egg rolls. I am in my 40s and my family has been ordering from Krystal Vy since I was a child but we will never order from her again. It doesn't matter if the food is good if you can't eat it. She will not pack food into multiple bags. So she shoved Styrofoam containers on top of each other to the point that the bottom container collapsed. The food in it was mixed with the bags of soy sauce and pieces of the smashed Styrofoam in the bottom of the bag. The one lousy bag of crunchy noodles was completely empty and the noodles were soggy and mixed in with the rest of the food. Completely unsalvageable. For as much money as food costs, we should be able to eat it when we get home not have to throw it away. When I called to let her know, she didn't even apologize. read more

Tiny place with absolutely delicious food, good prices, and great portion sizes. Krystal tries to remember everyone so if you're a regular she'll remember your quirky order. Downside is that it's a small place with a small staff so when she gets busy you're gonna wait and you might miss something in your order. Make sure you check things out before you leave because usually it's just on a counter somewhere. There's no delivery so you'll need to go pickup and if you eat in the dining area could definitely use a bit of an update. read more

I have passed this restaurant MANY times on my commute home. It's always busy looking ,so I decided to try it tonight. I ordered a few different dishes as well as egg rolls and steamed dumplings. I wanted to really sample the food here. Man were we so happy when started eating all the different dishes. The orange chicken was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. Every bite was good quality chicken. So fresh. The steamed dumplings are some of the best I've had and the large home made egg roll is worth the wait for sure. The hubs had the pepper steak, fried rice and we both had lomein. There was enough food for 6 people! Every portion was huge. I will def order again. I know the wait is long but I'll just call ahead sooner next time. Ide rather wait and have quality food. So worth it. read more

While the lady at the front is very nice, I had such a bad experience on Sunday ordering takeout from here that I have to leave a poor review. I ordered Kung Boo chicken over the phone and mindlessly paid for it upon pick-up. When I got back to my workplace, I noticed an oil stain on the car seat I put the bag of food on. Upon opening it up, I saw every item in that bag nearly drenched in oil leaking from a container of "Grandfather Chicken", something I had not even ordered. I realized way too late that the lady probably misunderstood me and gave me what I ordered AND an extra item that had a similar name. I ate what I could, cleaned the oil-drenched containers with the leftovers, and put them in a thick, reusable bag to take home. Even this reusable ShopRite bag was not enough to contain the oil, and I noticed small pools of oil in my work fridge, work van, personal car, and fridge at home. So, not only did I pay for a meal I didn't order or really like, but I also had to clean multiple surfaces that will smell like Chinese food for who knows how long. Even my clothes smells like the food, meaning that at some point some of that oil even leaked through the bags onto my jacket and pants. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed at the lack of proper packaging and the fact that my order wasn't read back to me. The food itself was ok, and all the problems I experienced wouldn't have happened if restaurants like this one simply allowed dine-in again. read more

My husband and I are new to the area and decided to give this place a try.If there was a way to give zero stars I would have. The sesame chicken was horrible it was loaded with peppers and onions and tasted spicy instead of the sweet flavor it usually has. The crab Rangoon literally tasted like some type of cheese cake filling with zero crab inside. Boneless spare ribs were so chewy. Then there the fact her egg rolls come with both pork and shrimp in them and my husband is allergic to shrimp. We should Have been made aware about that. Every Chinese's restaurant I have ever been to serves pork egg rolls unless you request something different. We ordered right before she closed. She was turning the light off on the sign as we left when we got home and realized the food was inedible We put the food in the refrigerator and figured we'd give her a call in the morning as she had closed when I called her the next day she told me why did I not call her the night before I told her while you were closed so I didn't figure to call and I would get in touch with you this morning. She argued with me about the fact that she had been open for 26 years and everyone knows that she will answer her phone no matter if she's open or Close, well we are new to the area. We know nothing about her answering her phone if she's open closed or not most restaurants when. They are closed don't have a way of answering the phone as they leave the building. She told me I should have known she would answer no ma'am i don't know you live in the restaurant and are able to answer whenever. Just because you have been open 26 years does not give you the right to assume all customers know your life story and doesn't give you the right to be extremely rude to us. I have never had sesame chicken that was spicy with hard peppers and raw onions. I literally had two bites of my food my husband barely touched his either. When offered to return the food she refused a refund. I rarely ever complain at a restaurant as I am in the business terrible to make someone pay for over priced food they didn't even eat. we just did not like our food and on top of that my husband is allergic to shrimp, and she failed to notify us about the eggrolls she was extremely rude and said there was nothing she could do about it and that oh well if I didn't like my food, she has no problems because she's been in the area for 26 years, well I hate to break it to her new people are moving to this area and if she continues to have an attitude like that she's not going to get new customers. Thank God my husband has EpiPen on hand and didn't have to have a hospital visit.. the food was terrible. We will be making this a regular stop. Just moved to Williamstown. In the past we went by here many many times on the way to the shore! Who knew it is a hidden gem in plain sight. DH ordered the hot and sour soup. He loved it. We ordered (delicious) scallion pizza. Best in the area. Also two( huge homemade) egg rolls. Mmmm. She did a steady take out business through the entire meal and monsoon. The food was truly spectacular.
