They have proven to be insightful, knowledgeable, professional, experienced, very competitively priced and painless. If unable to find an answer (for cases outside their specialty) they have advised of alternate solutions. We have also trusted them for our personal legal needs as well, rental property contracts, lease termination agreements, real estate, setting up trusts, etc. What sets the company aside is not only the personal attention they take but they don't nickel dime you with quick questions, emails, phones calls etc. They take the time to try and fully understand your needs and objectives offering suggestions and advise built from years of experience and knowledge. Knowing how tight our timelines were so we didn't lose a client, Jeanna got the first draft of the agreement to us by Monday, reviewed with us on Tuesday and it was finalized by the end of the day. All this for a flat fee which I felt was reasonable. She answered our questions, offered suggestions and unlike other attorneys was not asking us questions; rather she made recommendations to reduce our liability and ensure we are not taken advantage off. I hope to continue to use her again and highly recommend her.

I hired Richard Elley for a landlord-tenant dispute involving a security deposit with an ex-tenant…read more Initially, he advised that certain damages including unauthorized pet-related damage, unpaid rent of 3 days, house returned in a dirty state with oil dripping from the oven and structural modifications to the house could be charged against the deposit, and that we did not need to return the full amount. He said we have a no-brainer justification to retain the security deposit, however, once the tenant responded with a strong and threatening letter, the approach changed significantly. Instead of guiding us through a clear strategy, the communication became reactive and somewhat discouraging. During a phone call, he expressed frustration about the direction of the case and questioned decisions that had previously been discussed, such as raising certain damages. What concerned me most was the lack of consistent advocacy. The tenant appeared to self-advocate more effectively than our legal representation. There was little meaningful negotiation achieved on our behalf, and the matter ultimately resulted in us returning the full $2,500 security deposit, despite initially being advised otherwise. We paid $1,500 in legal fees but saw no value in terms of negotiation or outcome. While Attorney Richard Elley seems knowledgeable about landlord-tenant law, the level of advocacy fell short of expectations, and the tenant appeared to advocate their position more effectively than our legal representation.

I called several law offices in the Phoenix area who offered real estate expertise but most of them were a week out or just plain not available. I was starting to think I was going to be dealing with this issue on my own and with no real legal guidance. It was then that I happened upon the Elley Law website and decided to give them a call. Imagine my surprise when the man himself answered and listened to my situation - occasionally asking questions to clarify but always listening. After it was all said and done, he advised me that at this stage I didn't really need legal representation and that I could handle the issue much more easily on my own - avoiding court and legal issues altogether. Turns out he was exactly right about what he suggested and the situation has now been resolved. He didn't try to coerce me into hiring him or paying for things I didn't need, he didn't try to steer me towards the easiest path for him to get off the phone - he listened and gave me real, honest advice. I should also mention he did this without asking for a single penny in compensation and on a late Friday afternoon. I hope that I never need legal representation in the future but when\if I do - Elley Law will be my first call, don't hesitate for them to be yours as well!

In a Michael Douglas movie, Douglas's attorney said 'it's a game to them'! I hired Att. Tom Griffin because of a utility company. In arbitration the co. said 'we had the job listed under another grade'. Mr. Griffin said 'I didn't know that'. Griffin had all the info so he knew about it. Griffin kept saying the $20k was a lot of money. I told him, it's NOT! Later he agreed with me, but he got his thousands of dollars & he's not giving it back to me! Looking back, I should have demanded that the company attorneys be in the same room with us! I should have stopped the arbitration, but Griffin never gave it as an option, and I was emotional and couldn't think to stop it. He wants it fast and with no bumps along the way. Afterwards, I asked him about the other company issue with the contract company (associated with the utility co) & suddenly its 'I don't do litigation'. Went home & looked on Att. co web site & his bio didn't say litigation. So, the next time we spoke, he says 'I do litigation' but now he wouldn't continue with my next case. Griffin says whatever convenient to him! I say 'Griffin is a smart man, but what a waist as a peoples attorney'. He finalizes as many cases in one day as possible. He won't fight for you (your lucky if he likes you) and it appears to me that this is financial favor for companies. While we, the small people suffer, and can't get a job. Just another attorney that has put a nail in my coffin! 'it's a game to them'! Fighting for your truth to be heard and never giving up, has its drawbacks... you end up poor!

The statute of limitations was about to expire, and I felt that I was running out of time. I had called everywhere and tried every avenue I could think of before I was finally referred to David Degnan. I am extremely grateful that I found him. I scheduled a free 15-minute consultation with David, but once he understood the extent of the damage and the urgency of the situation, he continued speaking with me for nearly 45 minutes. He was never in a hurry, never made me feel rushed, and did not charge me for the additional time. He listened carefully, treated me with respect, and offered meaningful guidance at a time when I felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Rather than encouraging me to spend money unnecessarily, David gave me practical advice and helped me understand how I could move forward on my own at that stage. He also told me that if I needed him later in the process, he would be happy to represent me. That meant a great deal to me because I felt he was genuinely looking out for my best interests rather than simply trying to obtain a paying client. I ultimately filed the case myself, using much of the advice he generously provided, and the matter is now moving forward. What stood out to me most was not only his knowledge, but also his kindness, patience, and genuine concern. As a senior citizen dealing with a stressful and complicated situation, I felt respected, heard, and valued. David is a caring and compassionate attorney, and I will always appreciate the time, guidance, and reassurance he gave me when I truly needed it.

Los errores son constantes y los resultados simplemente no existen. This firm showed me a pattern of behavior that no client should ever ignore: Basic mistakes on simple tasks like change‑of‑address forms- repeated, careless, and never corrected. Constant turnover of paralegals, forcing clients to repeat the same information because no one communicates internally. Misleading "Spanish‑speaking" advertising. Only the paralegals speak Spanish. The attorneys do not. More communication from billing than from the attorney. When the billing department contacts you more than your lawyer, the priorities are clear -- and they are not the client. The attorney introduced at the beginning was NOT the attorney assigned after payment. That switch alone is a major red flag. My assigned attorney does not appear anywhere on the firm's own team webpage. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. Online reviews show a pattern of detailed complaints that match my experience, yet the firm responds with generic "contact us for feedback" messages instead of addressing the issues. The money disappears fast, and the work does not reflect the cost. The value, communication, and results do not match what they charge. Something is off about how this place operates. The mismatch between their five‑star ratings and the consistent complaints about money and lack of results is impossible to ignore. I'm writing this so others don't have to go through what I did. The lack of consistency, transparency, and professionalism is alarming, and the firm's priorities are nowhere near where they should be.
