Beautiful course and great prices. Tucked into a nice area on the west side of Beloit.

Placing an approach shot in the right green level is a must to avoid 3 putts. Overall the golf course is beautiful and challenging. Our experience however was not very nice. As we are turning into the back 9 they decided to shotgun an outing right in front of us. They simply asked us to bypass 10 and play it after completing the round (more about this to come). We thought the outing was teeing off behind us, but to our surprise the outing was teeing off on 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. We were playing with the outing!. That was chaotic, and no ranger to be seeing. This created a slow play situation that turned dangerous as outing players started to loose their patience and kept hitting golf balls that landed way too close for comfort. The fact there was an outing scheduled was not mentioned when we called for a reservation, or when we arrived at the clubhouse. It was a "surprise" at the turn. Once we completed holes 11-18 there were two foursomes, one teeing off and another waiting on Hole 10. I truly wonder if anybody is coordinating golfers in the course and for sure customer service is deficient at best. When we finished they were courteous but did not try to remedy their mistake. We paid to play 18 holes, called for a reservation and they decided to put an large outing on top of us without telling us and offered no apologies or restitution for their mistake. We traveled far to play Glen Erin, and left with a bad impression. I will not travel to Glen Erin as their reservation system means nothing, and they don't care about customer experience. I wish I can give a better rating as the golf course has potential.

My boyfriend is from Taiwan, but has nearly perfect English as he has learned it in school and been here over two years. Gail, at the front desk, was immediately correcting his English in the most unneeded ways. (For example, he asked for three "carts," and when she seemed to have no idea what "carts" was, he corrected "golf carts," to which Gail responded: "Yeah. It's called 'golf carts' not 'carts.'" She then proceeded to not allow the purchase of three carts, only two, even though she originally agreed. This was strange, as our group has never been denied the purchase of three carts before. Instead of talking us through her reasoning, she decided it would be better customer service to scream at another member of our group. Once we actually started golfing, another member of the team followed us through the course to occasionally drop by and leave demeaning, rude comments as if we had never golfed before. My boyfriend and I aren't from here (just visiting), so next time we're in town, we definitely won't be back. I can understand older people being mistrusting of younger adults, but being aggressive from the start when nothing had been done wrong is very immature and terrible customer service. I highly recommend you do not come here, especially if you are a young adult! Golfing is for everyone, no one should be discriminated against based on appearances.

Being my first time here, I wasn't familiar with how things worked at this course, especially with their Toptracer setup and range boundaries. There wasn't clear signage to explain the rules or layout. Unfortunately, after hitting my balls, the owner himself came storming out and started aggressively yelling at me in front of other customers for apparently hitting balls past a certain perimeter -- something I had no idea was an issue. I tried to explain it was my first time there and that I was unaware of any restrictions, but instead of de-escalating, he continued to berate me. Things got even more unsettling when I went to my vehicle in the parking lot, only for the owner to follow me out, sit on the hood of my truck, and physically prevent me from leaving the property. It wasn't until the police that he called arrived, I was able to safely leave. I've never experienced anything like this in all my years of golfing at courses around the country. It was an incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable situation, and I would strongly advise anyone -- especially visitors -- to be cautious if considering this course. At the very least, be aware that this business seems to lack proper communication and hospitality toward guests unfamiliar with their setup.

A couple of weeks ago they had booked a tee time to play four holes together, hoping to enjoy a quiet, casual outing with a golf cart on a nice day. When they arrived and went inside to pay, the owner immediately scolded them for scheduling a tee time for only four holes, claiming they took a spot away from a "full-paying customer." Instead of calmly explaining course policies or handling the situation with understanding -- especially given their ages -- the owner raised his voice and made them feel unwelcome. He then insisted they pay the full nine-hole fee, even though they were very clear about only wanting to play a few holes. It's incredibly disappointing to see a business treat guests this way, especially elderly customers just looking to enjoy a peaceful round of golf together. There's a right way to manage course operations, and this wasn't it. Customer service and basic kindness matter -- and unfortunately, that was lacking here.

ROTG is appointment only so you will have to call and book a tee time in order to play golf. (608)-756-4949 Prices: 18-Holes $25 per person, 9-Holes $12.50 per person. The staff does ask for anyone who makes an appointment to please be specific in regards to how many golfers will be joining you, it makes sense seeing as they base the next available tee time after you off of how many people will be with you. Food & Drinks: ROTG has an array of beers and liquor. All food is made by Riley's Sports Bar and Grill which is about a 100 yards down the street from ROTG. It's all very convenient, unlike at a non-virtual golf course, at ROTG you will never have to wait for the beverage cart to come to your hole and sell you drinks, The bar is located right behind the simulator. Golf Courses: At Riley's on the Green there are about 40 different courses to choose from. ie: Bay Hill, Firestone, Harbour Town, Kapalua, Torrey Pines, Cog Hill, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, St. Andrews, ect... Golfing: You can hit every club in your bag, there is a driving range to warm up on, you choose the course you would like to play. From driving to putting you can do it all. Overall it is a great experience, you can sit down, have a few beers, eat, and watch any sporting event on the large projection screen by the bar all while playing 18 holes at Pebble Beach with a few buddies. Definitely helps relieve that winter itch to go golfing.
