We reserved a bachelor's party race day for Saturday May 13th. Upon arrival at the destination at 9 am, the entire place was deserted with no workers to be found. We continued to wait until 10 am when one of the employee finally showed up. Instead of offering any sort of apology, he justified being late by telling our group that we had made the reservation under the old system and that the new system didn't transfer the old confirmations. I understand these things happen in a small business when you make an integration. However, isn't it the business responsibility to double check to make sure the integration is as seamless as possible by doing the bare minimum, which is cross-referencing the old and new reservation systems? It should not be the customer's responsibility to make sure a previously reserved reservation is indeed valid. The employee did not seem bothered by the fact that our group had lost 1 hour of track time and offered no remorse. When you advertise online that a "Racing Bachelor Party" has a starting race time of 9 am, why isn't someone there at 9 am? To add insult to injury, I received a promotional email from the business stating that most Bachelor's Party race days are on Saturdays with a suggested start time of 9 am. This is laughable because our experience stated otherwise. There was another anxious group waiting to start their 11 am heat as we felt rushed through our time slot and didn't want to overrun into their reservation. Unsurprisingly, an email correspondence was not returned. I suppose if they weren't regretful then, I can't expect them to show any after-the-fact. Protip: bring your own helmet so you don't have to use the ones they have since everyone *WILL* get sweaty from racing. read more

This place is awesome!!!! I was a little skeptical on the price per person but it's worth EVERY PENNY. I'm not giving it the full 5 stars for a couple of small reasons; there should definitely be more instruction/signage and they should really consider some new gloves or washing the ones they have. We were supposed to start racing at 12:45 but didn't get out there till a little after 1p. For a Saturday, I'm sure this is pretty typical. All the bachelor parties want to get in early so they can start drinking earlier =) They're strict about drinking so don't even think about it before you get there. You're allowed to bring your own cooler for after you're done - they have a nice deck area you can use. You get there, sign your life away and grab a helmet sock (if you're not wearing your own helmet). The guy at the counter didn't really tell us what to do after that so we were all just standing around until someone asked 'where to now?'. You head back outside where you stand around without instruction, watching everyone else race. There's a small shack where they keep all of the jackets, gloves, helmets and rib protectors. I know they attempt to keep them organized but people just put them back wherever they want so it was a bit of a clusterf*ck trying to get people the sizes they needed. I didn't realize I was wearing XL gloves till the very last race. I'd recommend wearing the rib protectors too, FYI. You're instructed to get in a cart and go without any instruction. I didn't realize it was just a practice heat till we asked afterwards. Thank goodness for the pedal extenders! Once all of the groups have finished their practice heat they call a "driver's meeting" where a guy talks SUPER fast about the rules, the flags, etc. I think I heard 5% of what he had to say because we were outside, RIGHT next to the track where other people are racing. Here's where some signage would come in handy, or maybe a video. Then you get to race 3 heats, 10 laps each. After each heat they post statistics so you can see who's the fastest, had the fastest lap, the difference in times, etc. That was a really fun bonus, especially for our competitive group! Bottom line, we will ABSOLUTELY be back. I'm sure most people are just fine hopping in a 50mph go-cart without instruction or a seat belt but I needed a bit more reassurance that I wasn't going to die out there, haha. read more

My department scheduled a work outing team building event here. We had about a dozen drivers and went on a Wednesday. After arriving to this very rural location, I'd suggest hooking up your cell phone to their WIFI. I really didn't get any phone or data capability otherwise. Once you get your balaclava, sign a waiver, and gear up with a jacket, gloves, and helmet, you get a short safety meeting and track discussion. Then they load you into the carts and send you out for a warmup. The carts are fast in the top end, but don't necessarily have a lot of acceleration. So, you're going to need to take efficient lines through the corners, learn trail braking techniques, and be fortunate that someone doesn't tap your back end through a corner or you will spin out. The course is phenomenal. Huge g-forces can be attained through the final sweeping corner. Lots of complex braking and steering is needed, and finding the apex of each corner is vital. A couple times I had to lock up my brakes in order to avoid t-boning someone that had wiped out in a corner. Weight is key to wining. I did find a cart that seemed to be 3-4% faster than the others and managed to get around the course while sitting in pole position in about 43.8 seconds. The fastest guy managed a 42.something, but he did weigh 60# less than me. I did notice that the fastest people in our group were the smallest people. It is just a reality... if you're bigger, you'll need to find different ways to approach the physics of the course in order to find ways to pass. This event was exhausting! We did 25 or so laps, and my forearms were worn out. No power steering and trying to hold 1.5 g's in the corners wears you out. All said an done, this was more fun than any autocross event I've ever done in a car and makes me want to buy a cart for attending autocross events. Do this! Do this NOW! read more

What a fun way to spend an afternoon. These carts are FAST. I took my boyfriend for his birthday. I didn't last the entire duration because it was starting to get really sore. I could hardly move for days after because of how much it worked my muscles from hugging the corners. I would love to come back again. read more
