My husband got stung by some black bug in the domestic animal area so we were dealing with that. If you go to the gift shop, they had a first aid kit that you could access once you filled out an incident report so they did have sting wipes, hydrocortisone, and some other supplies that helped. The Park is laid out well you can see the entire thing in about two hours. There is a playground so you could stay longer if you wish and it looked like they do allow you to bring in your own food for a picnic. The kids had a great time and we did see some animals that we haven't traditionally seen such as the Asian monkeys, they were absolutely beautiful I love the fact that they do rescue animals and care for them! I will comment on the pricing of the train and the carousel as we are members of the Phoenix zoo and this pricing seems exorbitant- the cost is less at a major metro area in Phoenix than it is for this train ride, and as you can see from my photos, it was mostly empty! Maybe bring that price down so kids can enjoy it how's you're going to be driving around - anyway why drive it empty? There are seven of us in our party so it would've been almost $34 for a quick train ride, please do the math for families and try to make this more affordable. Same with the carousel ride, $4.50 per person, ouch! I do appreciate that the entrance fee is reasonable, it's a small zoo and was an enjoyable day- there is a happy Joe's down the road so we went to lunch versus eating at the zoo $5 parking $10 senior $11 adult $4.75 train $4.50 carousel $2 bag for feeding animals

The tees need some work as quit a few are chopped up. It's been in the 90's with high humidity. It's unusual to not see one of these: water containers throughout the golf course, an ice bucket in the golf cart, or a cart person selling drinks. Please remember to bring plenty of water with you so you don't overheat. We will definitely return as we do enjoy this course and its location.

A few water holes and the trees make it enough of a challenge to have a great outing. Only thing missing is cart service and there really should be some water available out in the course. I hadn't planned on water not being available, so ran out around the 13th hole and it was warm and muggy. And I will say the pace of play got EXTREMELY slow on the back nine. We were waiting in the twosome in front of us who were waiting for the twosome in front of them to clear the greens and then proceed to hit it halfway to the green. That and the multiple balls being played made the pace unbearable by the last 4 holes. This of course meant we saw the twosome behind us and they also lacked in golf etiquette. Really need a ranger to speak with folks like that. I will definitely be back. But it's not perfect for sure. Hoping we don't have the same experience next time.
