Great service! I was traveling from the USA to Canada when my front tire was making a very…read moreconcerning noise. NAPA Auto in Garrison was the closest autobody shop. The secretary (cant remember her name but started with an S) could tell I was anxious as I was not from the area and concerned I would not be able to get assistance. She answered all my questions and was extremely professional and showed she really cared for her customers. When we arrived at the shop, Bill immediately went out to my car diagnosed my 3 loose lug nuts and tire misalignment from a previous snow tire exchange. He made sure to drive the vehicle around the block to make sure it was safe to drive. Did not charge us anything for the time and maintenance provided. I can not thank these 2 enough for providing quick and free care to my car, and helped calm my anxiety so that I did not feel anxious driving away as I could have easily lost a tire while driving on the freeway.

We were told that we needed rear brakes because the calipers were seized on the pads. First estimate $1275 (OEM parts)...before authorizing the repair we asked for an estimate on lower priced pads and rotors...and we checked elsewhere for a price comparison. When we suggested we had a much reduced quote and wondered why it took so long to get an answer for parts price from this shop, we were told the job was in process and brakes all apart now. Got a call saying - good news calipers not seized they can be reused and now job would be $450. Suggested we would take to the other shop, and we were told "if they could put back brakes" it would cost an hours wage and he wasn't sure it could be done safely. When we came to take the car elsewhere half an hour later it was on the lot. We were charged one hour $100 plus a $20 brake check fee, a fee for windshield fld top up (which didn't happen), and old rusty bolts were installed as a final farewell. It is too bad, there was such poor communication from this shop and nasty additional fees. The "oil change" that cost $208 was hardly little compensation to this auto repair shop for a loss of 2 persons business. Talk about bite your nose to spite your face!
