Store is clean. Staff is ok. They have a lot of organic options BUT are always out of stock! OF EVERYTHING! Basic, staple, ever day items like produce and dairy are ALWAYS out of stock as well. They have junk food for days but if you are a healthy eater - good luck! read more

Why do i have to stand outside in 25 degree weather to return bottles? They should open the inside doors, hmmm theres a thought. Not only standing outside but only 2 machines working because no one empty's the full ones when needed. It's the only food trough in Richmond so you have to find value. Use the app for extra savings and make sure to use your fuel points each month. I get gift cards for all those great restaurants I love to write about and get 4x the fuel points to use on gas. Save a buck where you can! The store is clean and the staff is good open 24 hours but after 10pm it's hard to get around because they are stocking for the hungry locals that will be in to empty the shelves the next day. If I could give less stars I would. This is the most poorly managed grocery store I've ever had the misfortune to live near and shop at. Even the most common items are out of stock on a regular basis. Two weeks ago the only whole milk available was pint size bottles. Eggs are out of stock more often than not. Orange juice is available on a hit or miss basis. Since the new manager was brought in a few years ago, this problem goes on and on. It's not just the general manager but department managers too. Nobody can evaluate stock and order enough of even basic items. The employees have low morale and I can easily understand why. I actually drive to Vinkiner in Armada pretty often, to find the things Kroger doesn't have. Must fresher produce and in stock at lower prices, excellent meats and deli. Bakery items are always fresh and usually in stock. I'm at a loss to explain how Kroger is putting up with all the complaints about this store. read more

So yesterday I had to drive back to the Richmond Kroger because I bought an item in the clearance and was charged full price. They refused to give me the Michigan Bounty law claiming it was "human error". I have never heard of that!! I also had another coupon for something I found in the clearance and they wouldn't take a coupon for it. The cashier said she would get in trouble. Another new rule I have never heard of. The lines are long and they ask you to self scan. Why would I want to scan a cart full of groceries? I used to love shopping here but every time I go here now, there is always some kind of issue. read more

I was not pleased to see employees without masks and employees wearing masks improperly, not covering their nose or pulled down entirely. Customers running rampant through the store without masks. How thoughtless! Get it under control, Kroger! read more

Horrible store. Highly priced for a Kroger. Their items on sale are always rung up at market rate. Staff call you honey and dearie and they are too busy talking to their friends out in public, they play loud hillbilly music, their displays are awful. They have a terrible selection. The isles are always full of empty boxes and you have to walk around them. They have a monopoly going therefore they could care less about the customer and proper customer service. I encourage the locals to boycott this store until they can get their act together. read more

I usually don't use click list, but with the virus: I use it when I can. With the craziness of people hoarding, they don't always have everything I ordered, but at times they do. I give each and every front line worker the highest respect. Especially those in retail as they did not sign up for this. My experience with all of those that I have encountered at Kroger Richmond, have been very kind, caring, and professional. Both in the store and at click list. I have seen the people that bring the click list orders to the car, treated horribly. Yet they maintain their composure. These people are human beings and need to be treated as such. Treat them kindly. Tell them thank you for what they do. That they're appreciated. It is only a few words, but they go a long way and have a huge impact. read more

The produce is never appealing, the meat is gross. I'd only shop here if you're in a pinch. The staff is great though!

My father tried to return an unopened non-food item. Richmond Kroger would not return bc it was just over their 14 day return. I'm sorry he was taking care of my mom, she passed a couple days ago. I will never shop Kroger again. 14 day return policy is ridiculous. We will shop at your competition whom has respectable return policies. read more

They are ALWAYS out of things...never fails. I even have a photo of how empty the bread department has been, not to mention the bread is always stale. Their lack of stock awareness is everywhere in the store. The one that really irks me is how irresponsible they are with infant formula stock. I'd say that's pretty important, don't you? They are also remodeling but looks like that didn't help their regular bathroom clean up. The bathrooms are upgraded but still disgusting as usual. The janitor station, or that roll-away clean-up station is still sitting there next to the bathroom doors. They like keeping that there, which tells you how lazy they are. Go to Meijer...it's worth the extra 7 minutes. read more

Worst experience ever! I signed up for click list... they called the morning of to tell me the computers were down and they couldn't have my order ready by 10am and to come back at 5. Ok; no problem... stuff like that happens. I show up at 5... wait 45 minutes to even get to one of their click list spots... call and wait another 30 minutes call back after the two cars that pulled in after me left. They forgot I was here and hadn't started getting the order together yet!!!! Seriously!!! I'm beyond irritated ! In total I was there 2 hours!!!! I could of shopped and been home by then.Yes they waived the fee... so I guess that's something. I Will NEVER come here again!!!! read more

This Kroger is the closest grocery store to me so for convenience I shop there frequently. The store is large, clean, and the aisles are well spaced. It usually has everything I need. My only complaint involves the rudeness and lack of respect shown by this Kroger's employees. I tend to shop late at night because that time is convenient for me. However that is also the time when the shelves are being restocked. Almost every aisle I turn into has at least one large stocking cart blocking it with a person stocking the shelves. The problem is, the person never moves aside unless I specifically ask him or her to do so and then my request is met with a scowl or other nasty look as the person reluctantly steps aside. My other problem concerns the checkout employees. Every time I check out, the cashier and the bagging person engage in a long and detailed personal conversation, virtually ignoring me. If I need to speak with the cashier, I have to interrupt their personal conversation. I find this to be extremely rude and unprofessional and have actually complained about it at the customer service desk. Still the practice continues. I shop at this Kroger mostly for the convenience. If there was another grocery store close to my house, I would definitely say goodbye to this Kroger. read more

A grocery store that also sells furniture...I guess it is a good idea due to the location. Sad Starbucks os no longer in this location, but I don't think there is a big cry for Starbucks in the area. Boo hoo. This Kroger does not offer the coupon deals like many other locations, and i have noticed that they charge more for most items here than the other locations. EX. Campbell soup broth was $50 less a can at the harrison township location. There is a Meijer about 10 min away of you really want to save money.. Sorry Kroger, but convenience is your only good point in my book. read more

I think the store is clean and the staff is friendly. Now with all that being said, the produce department of lately seems to be lacking. On more than one occasion I go to get a head of lettuce or cucumbers and there is only like four left. They pretty much look disgusting as well.I have even found lunch meat that air has gotten too and taken the color right out of the meat.I personally think with your company being so high priced and being a big name company you wouldn't see that as acceptable.It's a shame for as long as Kroger has been around to find things like this on a regular basis.I also see employees in dress clothes and uniforms talking more than actually working and I can tell you right now that is part of the problem to many bosses and not enough workers.I see the handicap people that you hire work alot harder than the people without any handicaps .Hats off to them people.Im not saying you r or not but probably taking advantage of them and that's a shame .I just thought I as a customer would let you know what I observe when I'm in your store .Oh and when you got a three workers one in dress clothes and two in work clothes eating pizza and talking to the customers or other employees.Reflects bad on the store you should be eating in the lunch room and not in front of the shoppers like your having a flipping pizza party.Not very business like.Again these r just my thoughts you don't have to agree with them and don't really see this making the store change read more

Usually this Kroger is pleasant and the lines are not bad. However, bottle returns are impossible because the machines are always down or full. I waited in line for 20 minutes at customer service for the (not so pleasant) customer service woman to count the bottles I had. Once they were counted I had to go wait in line once again just to purchase one item. I know it's close to thanksgiving but step it up. :) read more

The store is clean and it's close to home. I shop here quite often. I only gave 2 stars though because... this past weekend I ordered a party sub and veggie tray for a party. I ordered online... there are signs ALL over in the deli about ordering online. Placed my order on Friday. The system said they need 24-48 hours. My pick up time was for 11:30 Sunday. When I arrived, they didn't have my order. I was told they don't have anyone who can access the computers!!!! Why have online ordering? Then the manager didn't even have the guts to come out and speak to me. They had the deli clerk deal with me. I will say, the deli clerk, Laura was wonderful! She made a 4' sub for us while we waited and apologized and had our bill lowered. However, I had a car full of other food I had ordered and hall decorations and we were put 30 min behind schedule and were still setting up the party when guests were arriving. Not worth the hassle to try this again! If Kroger managers don't care enough about customers who shop in their stores 3-6 times a week, I'll drive further to Meijer from now on. read more

I used to like this store. But lately it's just gone down hill. The staff *is* friendly though so that's a positive. The customer service is rude no matter how friendly I am. They are ALWAYS out of stock of Blakes gluten free pot pies despite having asked them to order more at a time 4 times in the past 3 months. And other staff have told me that's a common request. Furthermore, unlike the kroger in Romeo, they no longer have an organic/gluten free section. So it's incredibly annoying for me with celiac and rheumatoid arthritis to have to walk all over the dang store to find some item (or more likely to find that I put in the effort and it was out), and so I tried the app. I selected "no substitutions". Despite that they didnt tell me on the site that they were out od what I ordered so I was given regular gluten versions of what I ordered which will kill me soooo... yeah. I switched to Meighers, even though it is a further drive. But Meijher doesn't carry hemp milk (dairy allergy). So I get hemp milk at Kroger and have been buying a couple quarts a week since June. Only now theyve been out for almost a month and said they may not be stocking it anymore. This store is a JOKE. read more
