The locations are convenient, that's for sure. The staff have always been helpful and kind. ​but the prices... $5.75 for a Marie Calendar item that I could buy at Meijer for $3.69 ? There is a big sign on the front of the store that says "Buy Local" but you guys have got to get a serious grip on your prices. Small grocery store, conveniently close to the KOA campground where I glamped at. Cashiers and employees were all friendly and older in age which feels like a good thing. Groceries were okay considering its location, nothing special. The issue with this grocery store is they Price Gouge on camping and grilling essentials due to their location close to the campsite ! It was $5 for a generic container of sheet foil! Go to the new dollar tree next door for the foil and condiments needed for a bbq.Go to the dollar tree for everything but produce and meat and you will save money rather than the paying the prices at this grocery store! read more

This is a great little local grocery. They have all the basics, a nice little deli (the ribs are to die for), a decent wine and liquor selection, produce and a bakery. This was a quick stop looking for paczki. Score! It was later in the evening, but I got a 4 pack of blueberry and lemon with glazed topping. The filling was excellent and generous. The dough was a little dry, but not a deal breaker- just get there earlier. All in all a real convenience store, complete with friendly staff. read more

Wednesday is senior day. They also have points you can win if you use your phone number. And therein is the rub. The cashiers have been TOLD not to ask for phone numbers. They have been TOLD not to ask if a person is a senior. They have been TOLD not to take it upon themselves to give a discount to an obvious senior. I don't live in Almont but do go thru there on occasion. I almost always stop in to pick up a couple of things and get something from their hot food counter. I think it is important to patronize local establishments. But, why should I when they make it a point to not patronize me (I am a senior) It will be only in an emergency that I ever shop there again. read more

We have been selective on our sausage, especially breakfast and polish sausage for the grill . We recently stretched outside the box and purchased the polish sausage made here at our local grocery. Wow! Lean, yet fatty enough for grilling! No big chunks of fat and bursting with a brat juicy flavor . Keep up the effort and don't grow too big to loose what matters! read more

It's the closest if not only grocery store near the Port Huron Koa. I've only ever came here when we were camping and it's always filled every grocery need we have ever had, albeit the prices being higher than say the Krogers near my house. I guess if you're the only grocery store within a 20 mile radius you can hike up the prices because people are gona pay regardless, just like I have. It's a spartan store, so they have generic items, but I'm not a fan of their brand so much. They have a deli and ready made items, but I never purchased anything in that department as it never really looked fresh or appetizing. The sell beer and wine, but no liquor and they have lottery. They have a very small produce section, but again none of it ever looks fresh or worth purchasing. It's a good grocery store if you need staples or if you forgot something while camping nearby. read more

Just stopped in this morning about 730 on a Sunday and they were open! Such a nice clean store and no clutter. Purchased some meat. Such a beautiful selection at very good prices. Love the comfortable friendly feel of this place and will definitely be back. read more

Best meat dept around, hands down. Very clean and organized local grocery store. All staff is courteous, helpful, and friendly. They have a convenient postal station. They have the best fried chicken from their deli dept, and always have fresh produce. They offer the Spartan brand of products. Their prices are a little higher than the big box stores, but they always run good sales. They also always have a fresh pot of coffee to offer their customers, and as always, it's free of charge! A "small town feel" grocery store. I like going here to avoid the mega grocery stores. I definitely shop for meat when I am here. Anything else I will only purchase if it is on sale as their prices are a bit high. The staff is very friendly and customer service oriented. This place is terrible. From the rotten over priced food to the inconsiderate employees I will never be back. I have been there plenty of times before this post and every time was a disappointment. You can say convenience but I say I'd rather drive an extra 5-10 mile to a meijer or Kroger and get quality product over "convenience ". 0 stars. read more

Very disappointed in this store. It's been okay with the masking of employees, but they don't enforce the rule for customers. Until two days ago, I had never encountered an issue with an employee. During their senior hours, I went in and the only open checkout was the service counter. It is not possible to be six feet from the cashier there. They chose to use a cashier who for some reason is medically exempted from wearing a mask. She had on some plastic looped shield, the mouth piece under her chin with both mouth and mask exposed. I asked her about it, and said I could talk to a manager. This young flip woman told me in effect if I didn't like it I could use curbside...i said...why would you have the 1 person who can't wear a mask use this station with no shield, or any protection from her to her customers. I said I wouldn't be back, and she said, that's fine. So during morning hours, no plastic protection, no six feet and no mask...no thank you. Refuse to answer my private message and deleted my comments from their homepage. Awful...This is in reference to the Almont store. read more
