I thought the store was drab, looked dirty, and unappealing. I am shocked at the condition of the store. Having lived in Memphis, where there are multiple Kroger's, this is the worst I've seen. To add insult, I picked out a frozen dinner, that when I went to cook it saw it had an expiration of may 25, th 2025 and I purchased it in August of 2025. I think the Kroger team makes all the difference in the world. You can go to any grocery store and they can have amazing item for sale yet the customer service is horrible. It makes all the difference in the world. I would rather travel further instead. Nevertheless, Kroger always has my back the items I need the service I need, etc. The self checkouts are fairly quick. Definitely one of the least impressive krogers I have been to. I went to the bakery and meat department and there was no one in sight and had to wait several minutes to find a worker to ask if someone worked in the department. I also saw this happen for others in different departments. The food quality seemed ok and those who I did speak to seemed kind. There are salesmen flagging you down to ask you questions which can be annoying. read more

Overall the customer service is great at this location. However the health food section is very limited and the fruit and vegetables section is a hit or miss with quality. But what's makes me so frustrated is their fresh seafood section is terrible. They have a great price on fresh seafood but smell it. A dead fly was laying in the red snapper and this is my 3rd time the shrimp smell like something terrible in the trash . So make sure you not only smell 1 but the entire bag of shrimp before they seal it . read more

Just bit into my apple and saw this ! Their "freshness guarantee" is a joke! IF we do return an item (such as this) we get eyes rolled and nasty attitudes. We shop only at Kroger. This review is for Kroger at Lexington and Hwy 6 in Missouri City. I left almost in tears....there was only 1 checker--two when i started shopping --but people need breaks. There were 5 people in line -- with full carts. I used self check out --the lady in the self serve area did help me--the only positive. By the time I finished, I was sweating from anxiety. This is not the first time. I finally got the message. It will definitely be worth the extra 8 minutes to drive to the H‑E‑B in Sienna. This Missouri City Kroger is no place for anyone over 70. The Sugar Land Kroger store is not like this --they have plenty of help, but it is much further away. Management executives could fix the problem in Missouri City, but apparently this area is not worth the extra help investment--and that means those execs higher than the manager. read more

I like Kroger period. I miss having a closet one after my move. They get 5 stars for carrying "Taylor ham" alone at this location. On top of that this was a clean well staffed well stocked store and not that far from home. I think I will be here more often now. read more

I had an online order placed for three boxes of diapers. The next day, at 4am the ordered was canceled by the store. I called the store and the store manager Tim completely dismissed me and hung up the phone in my face! He was my bagger and was extremely kind, complemented my hair and as soon as he heard me mention I had kids, he wished me a Happy Mother's Day. The convenience of this location cannot be overstated...sort of. I have been coming to this Kroger for years, and they have a great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, organic products, ethnic foods, around-the-house-items, breakfast foods, etc. Although I believe the Kroger at Highway 6 and Fort Bend Tollway has a wider selection of ethnic foods and is more spacious, what this location has over that location is that it is a true 24/7 Kroger. When I find myself out late but still need certain items for the following day, I never fret because I know this Kroger is going to be open. I tend to use the self check out line because it's more convenient; however, sometimes they are shut down late night. When I have been checked-out by a customer service representative, they have mostly been very patient and kind. When looking for certain items, those stocking products late at night have been very friendly and helpful as well. One of the biggest sells of this Kroger and many Krogers in general is the gas savings you get with a Kroger membership. Getting tens of cents off your gas when shopping isn't a bad deal at all. Besides those discounts, Kroger tends to have competitive gas prices in the area. In fact, they and Murphys, across the street, tend to have the same prices. Then again, with a Kroger membership you can can get $0.03 off your gas regardless of whether or not you have points. Then again, Chevron, also across the street, tends to compete with Kroger rather well. Anyways, this is is about Kroger. That being said, Gas Buddy is your guide. Overall review: If you are looking for a place that is open 24/7 where you can get your shop on in your pajamas, always 'member this Kroger. And remember that purchasing gas here isn't too bad either. On top of that, always remember that your points do not carry over from month to month, so use your gas savings! read more

I generally try not to shop at this Kroger because of the service that we've had in the past. Today we just need to pick up a few things so I thought why not try it again. I reconfirm that I don't want to shop at this Kroger. At the check out the cashier didn't say hello, didn't tell me my total, didn't say anything, didn't make eye contact until I finally said have a good day as we walked away. We will be continuing to drive just a little bit further to go to the newer Kroger in Sienna. read more

They have what I need. Their produce section is not the greatest. I know there are million dollar houses over here but they don't eat this much organic produce. Organic is what is mostly there. But why should I pay 3x as much for parsley or carrots because organic is all that's left on the shelves. I usually go to foodarama for produce. read more

I shop here all the time. Low price, wide variety of choice, and fast wait time(most of time). Definitely beat HEB, in my opinion. However, it is very crowded at the peak time, so try to avoid shop here between 4:30-7:00pm. Only thing that they may need to improve is to add more organic groceries. read more

I used to come here very often but i pretty much stopped coming here since HEB came just right around the corner. The prices are not cheap and even if you have a kroger card it's not all that cheap. the facilities are getting dated and the store and whole company could use a revamp. a good facelift is needed to compete with HEB. they have great incentives for fuel and such but the food that HEB sells and even makes is better than the food that kroger makes. i'd only come here if it was really really convenient and i didn't want to drive to HEB. read more

I have been a Kroger customer for over 30 years and have shopped at several different locations during that time. The Kroger located in Missouri City at 6220 Hwy 6 has gradually declined to be the worst grocery store I shop at. The cashiers and people on the floor are friendly and try to help as much as they can but the problem is in the "ivory tower", that is, management. I went early this evening because they had some specials advertised I wanted to take advantage of and needed other items also. Every item on special I wanted was sold out. This is commonly the case with the specials at this location. The dairy case was also depleted. There was empty shelf after empty shelf and the milk we usually buy was sold out. A type of lettuce we like was on sale and sold out. I asked a couple of people working on the floor to check to see if there was more stock in the back and both were very polite and went to check. Of course, they came back with "no". They recently "upgraded" their self-check-out registers and, again, demonstrated an apparent lack of awareness of the needs of their patrons. Specifically, they chose units without the hand-held scanners their competition has so if you have a heavy item like a case of soft drinks you have to wrestle it across the reader. They also typically have only 2 or 3 cashier-assisted lanes open in an attempt to keep labor costs down. I have recently started shopping at the H-E-B which is a little further away but I can almost always find all the items I wanted including items on sale. There are always people on the floor who are eager to help should I need it and they always have many cashier lanes open for those who want help checking out. I have spoken with the floor managers at Krogers several times over the years and they express concern but conditions continue to get worse. It seems the people in management who could correct these problems "aren't getting enough oxygen". If I am going to have to leave Krogers and go somewhere else to get all the items I need I may as well just start there to begin with. I prefer not to post negative experiences. I prefer to share the positive but enough is enough! read more

This is the Kroger that I used to go to before the one near Fort Bend Tollway was built. It was a regular spot for the family. So, I have had years of good customer service that I can remember from here. I like the remodeling that they have done recently. It makes it up to par with the newer ones on this side of town. If you live or work around this area, it may be good to use Gas Buddy for Kroger gas. Sometimes between the two Krogers there is a difference of a couple of pennies. So if you are a penny pincher you might want to use Gas Buddy. Also, it is said that there is a difference between Kroger Signature and other Krogers but I don't see any difference. Maybe someone will have to explain that to me one day. That being said, this Kroger is just as good as most of the Krogers in this area. read more

I received the worst customer service from a cashier named Daphne. And I only was able to get her name by asking another checker, since she was the only one without her name badge. I'm sure if she would have had it on, there may have been more complaints today. She looked so miserable being at work and when I mentioned "That she didn't look like she wanted to be here", she immediately responded with, "Oh it's not you!" Well of course it's not, sassy girl. Her parents must have not shown her any manners. Not only was her unpleasant nature bad, but the way she was throwing my items into the plastic bags. She was adding one and two items per bag. The atmosphere at this store is great. Employees are always welcoming customers and ready to help. The store is pretty well kept and they always have coupons available for loyal customers. This store also has a pharmacy within if you want to drop off a prescription while you shop. There is also a gas station nearby so many ways to gain reward points. read more

I tried the curbside delivery for the first time today. The procedure seemed simple enough, I placed my order on-line and scheduled to pick up the groceries bethe following morning. I arrived at the curbside loading area and called the number posted on the sign to get an attendant. There was no answer. There was however an attendant loading a car next to mine and let me know that they were running behind and she would run inside and print my order. While waiting approximately 5-10 minutes in my car I received a reminder text from Kroger to pickup my groceries! I then went into the store to speak with the manager. When I was greeted by the manager, I explained that this was my first time using curbside delivery and questioned how long it would take to collect my order and have an attendant bring it to my car. At this point in the conversation with the manager the attendant was spotted taking my order to the car. The manager then escorted me to my car and helped the attendant load my groceries into the vehicle. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and told me that this rarely ever happens. He made it clear that the customer (me) should not have to leave the car and enter the store with curbside delivery service. I then took the 15 minute drive home and unloaded the groceries. I double checked the receipt against what was in my bags - and surprise - two items were missing and I as charged for an item I never ordered (and yes, I was charged for all the items). The first item was a deli sandwich, which again, I never ordered. The second item(s) were two ribeye steaks. The total for the steaks and sandwich was $34.00. After learning of this error, I then drove back to the store located at 6200 HWY 6 in Missouri City, TX (Corner of HWY 6 and Murphy) to again speak with the manager. When I entered the store I asked one of two clerks, who had no customers and were visiting with each other, to call the manager to the front of the store. They told me to have the person in customer service call the manager. I then stood in line at customer service and had the worker there call the manager. When the manager appeared (same individual as I spoke with previously) I told him of the error and my experience with the two clerks sending me to customer service. I then explained that the half hour round-trip plus gas to return to the store because of their mistake was unacceptable. He apologized and returned my money for the three items that were charged to my bill. Of course, no compensation was made for my time, gas, and mileage for Kroger's error. As a first time customer of curbside delivery (and a last time customer of Kroger) I am appalled at how this whole transition unfolded. I would have been better off and saved time and gas just shopping for my groceries the traditional way. Kroger has permanently lost a customer who shops for a family of four. I will be taking all my future business to their competitors. read more

The customer service at this Kroger has steadily declined over the 20+ years I've been shopping there. The Pharmacy has particularly suffered from a steep decline in service quality. My prescriptions have not been ready when the telephone refill service said that they would be the last five times. Self checkout equipment consistently cannot read my Debit card, though it works everywhere else I use it. Sadly, it's time to move to the new Kroger on University. Longer drive, but much, much better service. read more

So disappointed, this store has deteriorated. Management seems nonexistent. For the last 2 months, my groceries have been crushed, fruit bruised, hot and cold foods mixed, and the food thrown into the bags sideways and upside down. Kroger is so poorly managed that I don't understand how they are able to stay in business. Like many people, I only go there because it's right there near me but now I only go there for milk, eggs and other small staples like that. I go the HEB now for my produce, meat, seafood and personal grooming products. I sent an email to the District Manager in June and have personally spoken to 2 different managers in August (Charles and a woman whose name escapes me)...they politely thanked me for my comments/concerns and that was that...nothing was done...I never heard back from the District Manager at all. My boyfriend called the bakery for our son's birthday yesterday and got a RUDE lady who was NOT helpful at all. Knowing he doesn't have the patience for this, I called again today. It must have been the same lady because she had a bad attitude and really wasn't accommodating at all! No ninja turtles theme cakes? Ok... I tried to be polite and change what I wanted, but after calling HEB right down the street right after, the $2 difference for GREAT customer service, a sweet, polite lady on the phone, and the cake that I wanted is SO worth it! :) I won't be calling this place for a cake again... read more

I went to get deli meat. I ordered the Kroger brand and when given the package I was charges for Boar's head ($2 more a pound) I did not notice until I was half way through the store. I went back and the guy looked at me and said " I charged you for the wrong thing." Did he do that on purpose? He did not even apologize. I have noticed in the past several items not ringing up what the price tag shows ( those $.20 adds up). Is Kroger scamming people? How many things are ringing up wrong? I love the organic selection offered here! Relatively inexpensive and great employees. For the most part, the store isn't very crowded if you come around 7ish pm, like I usually do. However, in the afternoon it can get pretty stuffy. The employees are helpful for the most part, and the Starbucks inside is pretty great. There were sometimes, however, that a couple of the items we put through the self checkout lanes rang up with the wrong price, but was pretty easily fixed by notifying the attendant. read more

Very clean store, easy to access and they are always ready to serve you. I ordered a sandwich tray on a Friday afternoon at 5, for Sat at 10:30 AM. The were willing to help me.
