This is an overall good location of Kroger. I am generally a fan of Kroger and whenever I am in the area, I find myself stopping at Kroger. When traveling for business, I often stop at Kroger to get water and whatever else for my hotel room. One of their waters, their blood orange flavored water, is definitely something amazing. I also usually pick up stuff to lug home. I am definitely into food and enjoy cooking and some items I can only find here. The staff is friendly at this particular location and there is something to be said about wandering the aisles, soaking up the various foods available. It is definitely a zen vibe. All in all, I would definitely recommend this particular location of Kroger and I will give it five stars. If you are in the area, go check it out. read more

I have been shopping at this location since moving here14 years ago. As the years have progressed, the customer service of this grocery store continues to decline . I have found much better options with locally own stores who have a stake in community and care about connecting and helping the customer. As I visit my second home in Florida, the customer interaction at a Publix is best I've seen. Maybe Kroger can obtain a copy of the Publix playbook around manners and respect. read more

Once again the price being charged at the self-checkout is different from what is displayed on the shelf. Now the assistant at the checkout wants to make the customer feel as if they are trying to get a reduced price for a more expensive item. Onions appear to be mis-labelled, or the wrong barcode has been attached to the yellow onions ($0.99 per lb.) because they come up as colossal onions that are more expensive. Upon taking a picture and taking it to the checkout to prove my point, the response is "ok we will give it to you at the $0.99 price". First of all, you are not giving me anything, I am paying for it. Plus I don't appreciate the insinuation that I am trying to pull a fast one on Kroger. Will have to start shopping at Walmart or another grocery store. read more

Why? Why? Why does Kroger feel the need to constantly rearrange their store? It makes it almost impossible to find what you need without an additional 5 laps around the store and an extra 15 minutes added to your trip. In addition, it's getting harder to get my shopping done without getting sideswiped by or having to maneuver around the dastardly blue click list shoppers. This specific Kroger pickup service is one of the worst I've seen. We waited over an hour and a half in a pickup spot just to be told they "lost" a cart of our stuff. I understand being short staffed, but it's another thing when people have been waiting for over a hour while other people drive up and get stuff in 20 minutes. A Colony Crossing Kroger employee constantly parks in a handicapped spot or on the blue lines for chair access despite having no handicapped tag or plate. I approached her about this previously and she completely blew me off and continues to do it. If you're doing something illegal while wearing a Kroger apron, are rude when called out about it, and continue to do it, that reflects poorly on Kroger and makes the whole area look bad. (She drives a dark Dodge Challenger, last three digits on the plate "OPE") Plus the fact that she's been doing it for months without Kroger noticing or caring looks bad on them. Not sure how or if I can get her to stop, but having family with mobility issues needing handicapped parking, it's very annoying and disappointing. read more

This Kroger is supposed to the "go to" grocery store in Madison and while it is big it also feels very dated and cramped once you get inside. The aisles are too narrow and there are stands in the aisles making it even harder to get through. Really wish there was another nice grocery store option in our city. This location was feels like management knows they have a monopoly with 2 stores in the city and have let their complacency let it get run down. Would give my right arm for a Publix or a Target. read more

Wow! When I think super awesome grocery store, with everything I'm looking for, cleanliness, excellent customer service and great range of prices, THIS is it! We were looking for just a few healthy snacks, fresh produce and a few sweets. We almost bought out the store! The butcher shop was making us drool! The bakery department was irresistible and the produce and dairy were so bright, clean and varied. No complaints... other than this store is two states away from home. ;) read more

In general, the service is decent, the store is fairly well maintained and the shelves are as well stocked as they can be given the current supply issues (2022). However, my specific gripe is with the online ordering system. My wife and I recently placed an online order for pickup, but nearly 25% of the order was entirely missing and several other items were made with bizarre substitutes that invalidated a number of coupons that were being applied to the order. The employee who brought out my order did not mention any substitutes or missing items when they delivered the food to my car and I was forced to make a return trip to acquire the missing items. Also, this is not the first time this has happened with online ordering from this location. Tl:dr in-store shopping is adequate , but never use the online order function. read more

Most beautiful Kroger you've ever seen from the outside. They designed it to fit in well with swanky Madison. Huge produce section as well as organic health food section. Sample any cheese before buying them, even the fancy ones (and you don't have to feel guilty about sampling them ALL because a staff member doesn't station the area). Minimal junk food aisles. This is a 5 star place and well worth the 20 min drive from my house. I thought the one on 55 was good. This one is A rate. Will be coming back again and again. read more

Well run and clean. Employees are willing to help you find things. Self checkout is fast and easy. Gas station is nice and good deals on gas. Wide selection of almost everything . I would recommend they make the produce area better since people tend to block the way there and race for produce . However the produce always seems clean and fresh and well stocked. Tons of parking and many places for carts throughout the parking lot. Right off of the highway and near banks and restaurants so you're not far from anything. Right there when you reach the city. I had one cashier throw another customer's groceries at me while I was bagging my own and this infuriated me but other than that it's a great store. I was surprised that would happen since usually nothing ever goes wrong for me at this Kroger. read more

On a Saturday morning in August, right after school has started, at 11am, there is barely anything on the shelves. A few people are trying to stock, and the rest are pushing the big carts all over filling online orders, getting in everyone's way. Checking out continues to be a joke - even self-checkout not working properly and certainly not monitored properly. You know a Saturday morning is going to be crowded - yet you didn't restock overnight? You didn't plan for more open registers? And this is the case almost EVERY SINGLE DAY. I've lived here for nearly 10 years now and this store has been a constant disappointment - it just continues to get worse. I find myself more willing to drive to Gluckstadt and pay a lot more at Sullivans. It's always stocked, clean and no self-checkout. Quality of meat and produce much better. I am so sick of the "we can't find people to work" excuse. If you pay them and treat them well, yes you can find people to work. Other places manage to do it. If a good grocery store came into Madison, it would definitely put them out of business. Come on, Publix, HEB, ANYONE other than Kroger! read more

Excellent grocery store. My wife and I love Kroger. Excellent quality of food, affordable prices, and friendly staff if you need anything. I would also venture to say that Kroger brand food items are usually (not always) just as good as name brand. The Kroger granola bars have been the only mishap I've encountered. They also have plenty of coupons available for download on the phone app. read more

I used to think the Kroger in Jackson, on 55, was the best Kroger around (probably because I lived closest to it at the time), but not any more. This Kroger has a vast selection of quality goods. They usually have several selections of varying prices (think good, better, best) in almost every category. This has always been my favorite store to shop from the day they opened. Cooking out for Father's Day I decided to smoke a Boston butt. Upon checking out the cashier made a face when she bagged it. I looked and saw that the entire underside was gray, I hadn't noticed this when I picked it up. She was going to let me walk out with it! Took it back and exchanged it for another that looked good. Got home and cut it open and it was rancid to the point of making me sick. Threw it in a few bags and took it back. I was love oking for something else to smoke and decided on some turkey wings. Kroger click list is ridiculous. Their click list staff can't pronounce the basics of the groceries I order, and they pick out substitutions like they have never cooked a meal before. (I.e. I order all the ingredients to make roast with blueberry pie. They bring my groceries without the roast or blueberries -even when I approve the option for substitutions! So, I can't cook the meal!) The wait to get what I have ordered is ridiculous-60 minutes in the car last visit! I could have gone in and bought them myself in that period of time, and I bet I could have found the main ingredients to actually cook the meal, too instead of doing what they do which is come back to the car and scratch their heads and say, "Um, yeah, we out of that" when I go in right after them and find it. And they charge for this headache! Kroger doesn't usually have cashiers working the registers when I go there to shop inside either, so most of my visits involve me dealing with the self-check-out machine which I don't want to do. We need a competitor for Kroger- I bet they would improve if there was one! Bring us a Publix already! read more

the Kroger on 1070 highway 51 in Madison, Ms is terrible. if you go there early there is only one self check lane open. I have been harassed by their workers for basically doing what the self check out machine told me to do. they basically thought I was trying to steal something and when I tried to explain they couldn't care less and wouldn't listen to me. I would rather go somewhere else because they treated me a customer like crap. read more
