They have clearly made some updates and changes to this location in the past couple of years, and it shows from the condition, layout, selection and even the service. I stopped by for a few items for dinner, but once I got inside, I ended up making a full shopping trip out of it. Its a Market location, so don't expect anything beyond grocery and pharmacy here, which is good with me as that was all I was after! Selection was good, but with the smaller location, they do have fewer products in certain areas. I noticed a few staples in a few areas that I usually get at the larger locations were not carried here. And if it is, the brand or varieties are reduced. However, on the flip side of that, I was impressed with a few specialty items I noted in areas such as fruits and veggies. There were a few empty meat shelves, so I had to pivot on my proteins. Prices are in line with other local Walmart stores, so nothing to compare to there. Condition and cleanliness were solid, and service was surprisingly friendly. Overall, decently impressed with this Neighborhood Market. Will definitely stop avoiding it.

Another rare five-star review but this place definitely deserved every star!…read more I learned about the little taco shop in the back from an Instagram post and convinced my husband that we needed to give it a try. First off, plenty of parking. Bonus. When you walk into the store, everything smells clean and fresh. The grocery section is well organized. The produce section is overflowing with fresh veggies that are well-priced. You can find most everything you are looking for at a grocery store. In the back of the store, they have a deli and a little taco shop. There are tables and chairs, so you can eat there or take your food to go. My husband got two Quesabirria Tacos and a side of rice and beans. I ordered three street-style tacos: Carnitas, Barbaco and Pescado, which was grilled. I also ordered a side of plantains. Throw in a bottle of water and the total bill was $31. There was so much food that I had to take the rice and beans, 2 tacos and my plantains home. I just could not eat any more! They have housemade salsa that they sell in pint containers. The Salsa Verde was so delicious that I have been putting it on all my food this past week. It's spicy but not overpowering. I'm going back just to get more of that salsa! Reading the comments from the Instragram post, people told the IG poster not to give away locals' secrets. This definitely is a hidden gem!

Conditionally, the store is showing its age in places, so a refresh would not hurt. Service is always stellar here from the registers to the deli counter and even the cart attendants! I have learned in the past few years that early weekend mornings are always the best here. From number of registers, friendliness of Associates, shelves stocked, better choices of meats, etc...So, you will rarely find me here anytime other than 9a - 10a on a Saturday or Sunday. I will say that outside of that time, this location is absolutely chaotic with unfriendly/unhelpful staff, few registers open which creates massive lines, even at self check, along with a cart riddled parking lot. So, schedule your visits with care. As with many other retail spots, a lot of items have now been placed behind locked doors, requiring assistance to get open. While the cosmetics and electronic departments are usually staffed well for this, if you ever need undies or undershirts in the men's area, good luck. Overall, this Walmart comes in clutch when needed. I have learned how to maneuver this location to ensure a solid experience each time. It is a solid 2.5 stars.

While I prefer the larger location a few miles down Gallatin, I will pop into this location to grab a few items at a time. I will not complete my full grocery shop here. The layout of the interior, while not as up to date as other Nashville locations, makes a lot of sense to me as a shopper. Everything is easy to find, and it's typically well-stocked. Produce is the only section I've found that is sometimes a bit picked over. The best time to shop is a weekday morning (if your work schedule allows). Weeknight evenings also aren't too bad, as long as you can avoid the after-work rush. I almost always use self-checkout, and the team members working in that area have always been friendly and seem engaged. We don't live anywhere near Goodlettsville, but we make it a point to go out of our way to visit this location whenever we're doing a big shopping trip. The parking lot is enormous, and there's an attached gas station for any of my fellow Kroger fuel points fiends. (I've also found the gas prices to be a bit lower than they are in Nashville city limits!) Sure this store can get busy ... but we've found the best time to shop is on a Saturday or Sunday morning right around 9 AM. You may encounter some employees stocking shelves - but I'd much rather that than a jam-packed store of shoppers. I've always found this store to be well-supplied, and have rarely had to ask an employee where something is located. It was touch-and-go for a bit during their recent renovation, but thankfully that's all finished, and the store looks better than ever. There's sometimes a line to check out, but it moves quickly enough that it shouldn't make an impact on the rest of our day. We bring reusable bags for our big trips - and prefer to use the larger self-checkout lane that has a belt. I will caution that the belt is a bit sensitive - but a little patience should be all you need to ring out your groceries.
