1. There are always carts available. HUGE PLUS 2. Store is clean and with most things expiration dates are far into the future--except bakery. 3. Store has plenty of self checkouts but needs more full service checkouts. Even with Kroger card the prices justify a full service lane available when the others fill up. 4. Store personnel are very easy to get questions answered about where to find something. Most tell me when I have something on sale and need another to get the best deal. This is the best part of the store and keeps me coming back to this location. 5. Last thing: we love the pharmacy. The staff is wonderful. We now get our shots here too after over ten years with a chain pharmacy. The staff in the pharmacy is why we made the switch. read more

So I don't normally do reviews on grocery stores. I kinda feel like you get what you get and certain people have certain preferences on what they like in a grocery store. I personally don't shop at Kroger's for my everyday groceries. I think they are a bit more pricey than H‑E‑B but there are some things that krogers has sales on that is priced a lot better. This review is a shout out to Keith the butcher. So I just feel like you don't see this kind of hospitality at a grocery store anymore. You always hear about small town hospitality and how every one knows each others names in the stores. Friendswood has that charm and Keith just made me more aware of that charm that we have. For one he said hello to a customer passing by and Called her by name which I thought was quite impressive and he asked me if he could help me find anything. I was looking for boneless chicken thigh meat. He proceeded to tell me about a sale they were having on a particular chicken and then I asked him if they had smaller size packages of chicken because all I saw was the big family style packages. He told me he'd go to the back and check it out for me and proceeded to bring out some smaller packages. Then he told me he was giving me a buy one get one free package. I was just so touched by the hospitality that Keith portrayed that I had to write a review about him. Kroger management, this guy deserves a raise and should be employee of the year! The first time I had a flower request from the florist, she was kind and helpful. The second time I had run out of foliage and needed more for my wedding flowers, went and asked her, and she was incredibly rude! I was shocked. She got mad at me for asking and took off in a huff after I made my request, so I was standing there wondering why asking a simple question was such an inconvenience and whether her rude response was yes you can have some or no you can't. She came back five minutes later without saying a word and gave me the foliage to purchase. A simple "I'm sorry we don't have anymore" would have sufficed over "You shouldn't ask me for that!" And huffing and puffing away to complete an optional task. I have never stepped foot in there since. Don't work in retail if you can't be bothered by customers! read more

Easy in easy out location just be careful of the time you choose to visit because this store is at a busy 4 way and everyone stops here going home going to work probably because you can always easily get in get what you need and regular or ad check without the usual long grocery store wait. I'm a bigger fan of one of our other neighborhood grocery stores but this one is closest so quick picks always occur here. Parking can be chslkenging and you don't always find what you may need this location is different than most in there are several staffed check outs but you don't know because staff rarely speak unlike other locations you hear Welcome to Kroger or Hi Ma'am is there anything I can help you find, did you find everything you came for. Just not typical and watch your dates on products and just don't get the pastry because they day daily but I'm not sure donuts or muffins should be so hard if made same day hence being able to find so much on the oops, we baked too much discount rack. Ask how long the deli meat has been opened and ask to see the date sticker or you may end up with old deli meat that you get home can't eat or can only have 1 day because it's been opened over a week already *yikes* I've learned to stick to water, condiments maybe chips and be watchful of all last minute items I run in to grab. read more

This Kroger seems low quality compared to the rest I've visited in the past. I came here with my mum who had some coupons and plus Krogers had a sale in the paper. When it came to checking out our cashier Joseph was acting strange. He treated my mum and I with no respect. My mum and I had separate baskets and was paying separately for our items. Joseph kept referring to his manager about how many coupons could each household use per item. Also, our cashier Joseph, his bagger, the rest of the cashiers were joking about the elderly referring to us using coupons, but instead they used code words such as life-alert. So, he scanned the sale items first, then I gave him the coupons and he failed to ask me for my Krogers card. I reminded him about my Krogers card. I had over $50 worth of items in my basket. As soon as he rang up my Krogers card, my total was only $5. Thank goodness for that sale, Krogers card and coupons. Our cashier Joseph nor bagger didn't thank us for shopping at Krogers. They didn't say bye or good night. Instead they watched us leave the store in awe as if we robbed them. Awful customer service!!! read more

A nod to this Kroger's for having the best veggie/vegan selection of tofu etc products in this Pearland/Friendswood area. I have no idea why they would of all places (plenty don't out in the 'burbs), but when I need tempeh- I know I can find it here! The staff is helpful, the produce looks great, and they usually have samples of some sort. Remember to use your Kroger card at the register and at their gas stations- bc my fam shops there frequently, we racked up enough "points" so I bought gas for $2.86/gal the other day! read more

Was in a hurry to get my dog to the vet so stopped in here to quickly get some gas. As has happened before at other Krogers the trigger on the pump handle was stuck!!! Had to stop and get the attendant who came out, depressed it, and it worked! WELL IT SURE DIDN'T WORK FOR ME! At another Kroger the excuse was "we sell so much gas we can't maintain the pumps"!!!! PATHETIC! Never happens at Walmart but this was on the correct side of the street so stopped at Kroger. Never again!!! read more

They have made a few improvements such as a few more employees. The customer service is non exsistant late in the eve/early morm 12 am. I was the only shopper, there was at least 1 worker every other isle only one young lady bothered to say hi and looked alive. The younger Zombie Boy holding the Self Check Out Podium up appeared to have no desire to be monitoring my scanning, baggging skilz and never said thank you for saving Kroger another 20$ by doing the work of 3 people with no training at all, come back or dont it dosent matter either way because the podium was still standing and he would still get paid. I am disappointed in Kroger. They stopped allowing digital coupons to be used on things like '$10 off $40 baby items' or '$5 off 5 or more items' promotions. This is something new they have started since my past receipts show I they took their digital coupons off on these promo sales. Every little bit helps these days, I guess the digital coupons are to make me feel like I am saving when in reality I am not. Lesson learned. read more

I have been a very loyal shopper to this store since it opened. I struggle getting supplies for me and a senior that I take care of. I work on the front lines of this pandemic. I go to work every week day. I cannot shop everyday trying to get food so I have to go when this store opens on the weekend. Yesterday I could only get one of some items. I completely understand the situation. The staff I say thank you to when I see them restocking. Not one person was friendly or even acknowledged me. Oh I got this pandemic trust me. Dropped off a prescription at noon and was told it wouldn't be ready until 3 pm. Returned to store at 4 - still wasn't ready so they asked me to park. After 10 minutes or so, they called my cell to report they were out of prescribed medicine. I won't be back! read more

I really like Krogers. I feel like as a whole their prices are fair and the experience is simple. This Krogers is consistently atrocious with customer service. I live evenly between two locations and this one is normally not as busy so I try to go there. I literally stood at the register for almost 5 minutes while two adjacent cashiers flirted with each other. As I was paying the female cashier that was at the cashier I was at told the customer behind me that her arm was hurting so could they just scan the large items for her. If she incapable of physically performing the job maybe she shouldn't be doing it. After this I went to the outdoor fuel station and waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the Kiosk. I had to call the store and a manager told me "I don't know what to tell you , she's taking out the trash." Maybe you could send one of the lover birds from inside out to get the trash instead of leaving the fuel station unattended. Multiple people came and left as I stood there waiting. This store is a joke. They hire the HEB rejects I think. The MOD (manager on duty) half the time you find them screwing around with the teenage employees, and not doing their jobs either. You can walk in there and most are standing around, or will discuss there drunken weekends, (which they are all underage) or their latest break-ups, all while they are checking you out or bagging your groceries... the simply do not care. And the items... FYI: CHECK the expiration dates on everything... I cannot tell you the countless times that I have gone home with my groceries only to discover that several things expired, even my canned goods have. That or they 'forget' to put all my stuff in my bags.. that is always a treat. They are teens I understand, but so was I not so long ago, and I also started out at a grocery store in high school... but I NEVER would have dared behave like these fools do. No professionalism, simply do not care, even had one hitting on me while bagging my groceries. If I was running it I would do a total re-haul of that staff and maybe get in a few adults. I shop here regularly due to it being close to the house. It usually has what I need now that they have done an update. However, I recently moved here from New Mexico and the Kroger's in Albuquerque has a much larger selection of Gluten Free items. Strange to find more in a Albuquerque Kroger's, which is a small city in comparison to the Houston surrounding area. Please stock Gluten Free Chebe Cheese bread mix. I would have given it a four star if there had been more gluten free items stocked. read more

Training new employees should require that they speak English well enough to understand simple commands! The deli has a newish older Indian lady, who gets my order wrong EVERY time, even after repeatedly telling her what I need. The young lady, with the small ponytail, has been a real blessing to this deli. She and a young male, seem to be the only ones who enjoys helping customers. WHERE is the Manager for this store. The store is NEVER fully stocked. My husband went in today looking for baby carrots in the produce section...NOT THERE! There have been times we've looked for Dasani water...NOT THERE! Went in one morning @ 7AM to pick up a birthday cake. Guy behind bakery counter would not even look up at me to help. When I finally spoke up (7:10AM) he pulled out the cake, almost dropped it, dropped the ticket (never picked it up.) When I went to front to pay, they were looking for the ticket and I told them it dropped off behind the counter, but the guy was too lazy (or just didn't care enough) to pick it up. WATCH OUT for expired items. This store is notorious for not rotating their expired items! Made a complaint today to the Corporate office. We'll see if anything changes...DOUBT IT! Frustrated because this is our go to store, a couple of blocks from our house. read more

My daughter purchased gas at this Kroger and a $125 pre-authorization was required for her $31 purchase. She did not have (and was not expecting) the $125 pre-authorization amount in her account. Our bank transferred enough funds to cover the large charge from her savings account, resulting in a $2 convenience fee. Granted, this is not a large amount to complain about, but why does Kroger have to have such a large pre-authorization for fuel purchases? I called and no one at this store knows anything about the pre-authorization, not even the manager. The manager was saying something about the type of car she drives and that the BANK requires this pre-authorization charge (not true). So I ask, how does the bank know what kind of car she is driving? It was just ridiculous the amount of misinformation the MANAGER had about the transactions. They FINALLY came up with a 1-800 number to call. The representative at the 800 number knew all about the pre-authorizations and said to not swipe at the pump to avoid this happening. The customer service employees and the KROGER MANAGER need to be more informed about bank transactions and fuel service requirements, to say the least! read more
