I always love shopping at HEB! They always have everything nicely arranged and easy to find.

The florist department is wonderful! I will always get my flowers from there. I went in a hurry to have a creation for my granddaughters engagement party. Well I do have to say they weren't ready when I got there but the ladies and the manager made them so beautiful and fast I wasn't late. I guess I need to keep shopping there also. Crossed crowded. Great location for the Friendswood community but parking is usually horrendous. This HEB is a little smaller than most but offers the same quality and selections as any other HEB. Staff is always friendly and checkout is usually fast, with many cashier lines open. They also have self checkout which also usually Moves fast. It would be nice to get a nicer, newer and bigger HEB in the Friendswood area in the future. read more

H‑E‑B, the store speaks for itself. Wife and kids enjoy going to HEB. Partners we have encounter here is super friendly and readily willing to help you. Their store brand product to me is just as good and sometimes better priced. I only ever visit the meat/seafood and occasionally the beer department lol. I have been shopping at HEB forever for my large family of 8 and spending thousands of dollars on a monthly basis. However, in the last 6 months or so, there is a limit on purchasing meat and poultry. Again, I have a family of 8 and always buy a lot of hamburger meat, pork chops, chickens, hams, etc. I am now receiving major attitude when checking out that there is a limit to how much I can purchase. For the record, in no way, shape, or form, am I hoarding meat or poultry. Also, there is absolutely zero notification limit anywhere in the store regarding a limit on purchasing meat or poultry products. Today, I needed to purchase 2 turkeys for my family with relatives coming for Thanksgiving and was told: "NO - 1 TURKEY PER FAMILY." After that statement with attitude, I was beyond pissed off when I was checking out. To be honest, I should have left my 2 baskets worth of groceries and gone elsewhere. This is absolutely asinine, and the attitude I encounter is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. TO THE HEB MANAGEMENT - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER OR HEB IS GOING TO LOSE MORE THAN JUST MY FAMILIES BUSINESS. UPDATE: I was in the store a few days later to buy some last-minute items for Thanksgiving. I specifically went to the meat department to see if a sign had been posted regarding one turkey per family. There is an extremely small sign with small print that reads: "One turkey per transaction." That is not what I was told by the cashier (Maggie) and the meat department manager. Maggie and the meat department manager are both liars!!! They should both be fired. read more

Besides having the best selection of produce around, the pharmacy here is so much better than the chain pharmacies around. I switched pharmacies to this location after a year of having issues with getting a medication filled at Walgreens. It's a little bit pricier (about $10) but honestly, I'd much rather pay the extra money and save myself from the headache and anxiety every month hoping Walgreens had my medication on time. I never have to worry with HEB! Plus, the customer service at HEB pharmacy (and in general) is always so helpful. I truly appreciate them so much! read more

Great food selection, got just what I need. Clean, nicely organized sections. This location is much more calm and less crowded than the one by the Pearland town center. The cashiers and store associates are very nice and helpful. The missing 1 star is because they never have cakes with whipped cream in stock ready to go. You would always have to order one. I'd always have to go to Kroger's just for their cakes with whipped cream. Our family eat cake whenever we like. We don't wait for special occasions or birthdays. Sigh... Some of the boiled crawfish could've been a little bigger. It would be nice it H‑E‑B could start to add bay numbers to sectionalize their aisles like Home Depot and Lowe's. I love this location. The staff is friendly, the food is great quality and the prices are good! I love to get my produce here as well as the readymade salads. The chicken salad varieties are all delicious and I believe made in store, along with another favorite of mine-- their store made ranch dressing. It's a steal at $3.98 a bottle and worth every penny. I visit this location at least twice a week and will continue to do so. read more

Not the largest HEB, however they have a great selection!! Also they started expansion this year 2017. As usual at all HEB's the service is what sets them apart from ANY other grocery store. I wanted a particular tour of steak that was not out on the shelves at that time, and he went to the back and apparently prepared the specific steak and cut I wanted. I went to pick up the prescription before grocery shopping. After, I picked it up and paid,put it in the cart to shop for groceries than my mom in law put it in her jacket and one of the female H‑E‑B workers thought we stoled the brown meat package, than I told her it was medicine and she said sorry. The in store experience is awesome, but out of the 4 times I have used grocery pick up and delivery, I have never got all the items or the correct items. I've even pulled around, peeled and gone in to exchange for the correct item that was on the shelf. Yes, it's a thing of convenience, but don't offer something to customers of you're not willing to deliver. read more

Staff is very helpful, even the teenagers who want to be somewhere else. It can get very packed at certain times, especially when people block aisles with the carts. (Don't do that people!) Love the coffee selection and organic options, along with the convenience of having paper products, make up, bath and baby stuff, small appliances and a florist. read more

Trying to find a medium sized German Chocolate cake in late November is the most difficult thing ever. On November 21, my sister and I travelled to 8 different HEB's and 4 Kroger's to find my mum her favorite cake. Hint here: We travelled from South Houston to this hidden HEB in Friendswood. It was a long and lengthy drive. All the HEB's and Kroger's we went to had a reserved parking spot in the very front passed the handicapped parking. That was really cool because usually it isn't like that, on the regular if you drive onto a parking lot at a grocery store you have to park like ten miles from the store which is the longest walk of life. This HEB was different--- -parking was a walk from the store and we found it from rude customers who like to mind themselves and not others. -This HEB is a huge labyrinth; everything you are ever looking for is always hiding from you and when you do find it its golden. So there we were screaming and yelling for joy. I picked out this oolong cake that looked very moist topped with chocolate and coconut. I then asked the baker if she could write Happy Birthday (my mum's name) in hot pink and she was delighted. Everybody in the checkout line was nice, friendly, and rewarding. Even the cashier had a big smile on her face. It felt like I was in a dream, but it was real life. Hint here: I don't eat coconuts, or anything that is shredded with coconut. The texture and taste doesn't appeal to me, but the richness of the cake was amazing. That was an experience and it was a good one. read more

Customer service here is hit and miss, today was a prime example. I approached a checkout that had no one in line and the young girl manning the station legitimately rolled her eyes at me. I left the line and headed towards another checkout. I passed a floor manager and I mentioned to her that the young lady I dealt with should improve her customer service skills. The floor manager didn't apologize and showed pretty much zero concern. As I was checking out in another line I could see her laughing with the young woman I had the issue with. Completely out of line and unprofessional. This sort of thing seems to be happening more and more often at this location. read more

This is my second visit to this location and previously I went directly to fruits and produce sections and out; however, I needed a few more items and noticed their weekly circular had some nice deals. I had a little trouble navigating this store to me HEB has the huge Target/Wal-Mart feel and not the family close neighborhood grocery store (Kroger) feel but the deals, variety, and loading grocery into my car made it worth the challenge. I love the sweet and fresh fruits, I love that you can choose from a variety of Banana brands (I am picky about my brand of Banana's) if you love Banana's like I do, you know that they aren't all the same. The HEB brand of foods was new to me and so far has been great, I have Never found a non Kraft brand cubed cheese that actually taste good and was fresh soft like real dairy not waxy or just yuck!! I love the HEB brand of cheese cubes! On a busy Friday evening of a holiday, prom, graduation weekend I was still able to get in and check out rather quickly and to have to bagging guy ask if I would like assistance loading my groceries to my car was Awesome because I was really tired! I only have 4 stars because of the size of the store not being easy to navigate isles were close together and crowded and labels of isle not easiest to read at a distance to easily get to what you need so many displays around the store makes it really cluttered with so many guest and shopping carts maneuvering about. I will return of course just will try to be more selective of day and time to possibly have a better experience read more

This is the worst run HEB in our area. I've made complaints about some rude cashiers and slow baggers. Nothing ever gets done about it. The rude/slow ones are still working there. I live in Galveston but used to drive to this HEB because it was CLEAN, upscale, had great produce, abundant specialty items and also a Central Market Cafe on the Run. Well, over the past year they've removed the CM Cafe On The Run and replaced it with a lackluster "deli" full of fried crap like wings, eggrolls and sausage. The specialty items have become more run-of-the-mill stuff like Goya brand salsa and they downsized their coffee and bulk-goods section; and the produce (as others here have recently noted) has suffered severely in freshness and quality. Who wants to buy limp asparagus, wilted spinach or mushy eggplant? AND the cleanliness and orderliness of the shelves and aisles has suffered. I mean, come on! There are only three grocery stores in the area (two Krogers and this HEB) and the Krogers are winning hands down. Friendswood is an affluent upper-middle-class community, so I can't imagine this HEB not being profitable nor their customers wanting more "upscale" items. Sigh, I'll just save myself the gas money and shop at the Kroger Signature Store in League City on SH 96 or HEB at FM 646. HEB certainly dropped the ball on allowing this store to degrade; its become more like an over-sized version of their previous low-end "Pantry" store concepts. read more

The second time in 2 weeks the "fresh" seafood I purchased was bad when I opened the bag a short short time later. I have been shopping here for 16 years however it appears the store is not managed as well as it once was. I'll probably start shopping Pearland Parkway store which has fresher products. read more

Why is it that the company that brought us Central Market can't do a little more with its suburban stores? The produce section is too small and the quality is frequently poor. A larger meat & seafood counter would be nice. Have you seen the bakery at a Central Market? The HEB selection doesn't need to be as large, but a wider selection of high quality breads would be wonderful. The same could be said of the cheese counter, deli, and wine selection. Suffering from a sinus infection that had turned for the worse, I chose the RediClinic inside the Friendswood HEB. I was greeted by a staff member, Melanie, who treated me kindly and was very knowledgeable with the process. She was able to help me relax and instilled confidence, as I was quite concerned after experiencing an episode of non-care at another walk-in facility in town. Within 30 minutes I was provided with an appointment with the Physicians Assistant, Darcy Ortiz, PA-C. I received excellent care. She was friendly, attentive and obviously cared for my plight. An interactive consultation and health-history was taken for my specific case and needs, she acknowledged the reason for my concern and honed in on the medical problem. The exam was provided. She allowed me time to ask a few more questions that very important to me. An antibiotic was prescribed and I was on my way. The pharmacy had my script ready in about 15-20 minutes and were exceptionally nice, as well. You take what you can get from a local/close-by grocery store. However, this HEB is over-crowded and small compared to the other ones I've entered. I'm not sure that HEB expected the growth of Friendswood since this store was there long before the new neighborhoods arrived. I find better selection in the League City (646) store. I really wish they would expand or build a new/bigger one on the remaining land left in Friendswood. My complaint of the size is shared among several other individuals living in Friendswood. Once upon a time, I lived right next to Central Market and made a habit of stopping by at 8:01 AM for a bagel, coffee, and love dip. Yadda, yadda, yadda, and three years later, I'm living part time in Denver and part time in Friendswood. Do I miss being close to Central Market, Whole Foods, Revival Market, and several farmer's markets? The answer is a resounding yes. But HEB is a pretty good substitute. The pros of this store are many: the cheese selection is good for a suburban grocery store; there's a My Fit Foods kiosk; usually a good selection of inexpensive flowers; a "natural living" section with bulk spices, essential oils, vitamins, probiotics, and similar; a small selection of CM foods like the aforementioned love dip. (Pro tip: this HEB carries products by a company called zum in the natural living section. Every one of the products are amazing.) The cons: the bakery isn't amazing, and the meats aren't as high quality as I'd like. It's also usually very crowded and a little stressful. Overall, this is my favorite grocery store in the area. It's not going to be a Whole Foods or Central Market, but it's good for everyday grocery shopping. read more

I visit H-E-B in Friendswood often. I don't understand why they don't hire people that at least greet customers with a smile and "hello." Never responded to my complaints about customer service issues. I never go back to a place who doesn't acknowledge my respectful complaints. So I don't ever plan on going back. And I have not so far! Besides, Walmart has a better selection and offers free grocery pick-up. They respond to my complaints appropriately whenever I have them. read more

I love HEB, but the produce at this store is lackluster, the meat section smells bad, the bakery has very limited options (although you can get their warm tortillas there--just white and whole wheat), and the wine selection is also not up to the standards I have for HEB. It makes me want to drive to Houston or Sugarland for fresh produce! Really too far to do on a regular basis, so sometimes I go to Kroger! Kroger! C'mon, HEB. I know you can do better than this. Kroger also has a better cheese section. I will say, the folks are always friendly at HEB. I want to give 3 stars, but when produce is rotten...it should not be out there for sale! They are constantly out of several of the things I buy at HEB. I told the manager and he wrote down everything specifically. I went back 3 times over the next two weeks and they STILL were out of EVERYTHING I specifically asked for. I don't really understand how they can let shelves be completely empty for that long and not notice!? read more
