A couple of things... I dislike the layout of this grocery store, however they have excellent customer service at the deli counter and plenty of cashiers and self check out lanes available. This review will be specific to their fresh made sushi. I'm picky, so very surprising I have a good review about grocery store sushi. This is a quick and easy pick up for lunch when I need to get back to the office. Had the Crunchy California and Rainbow Roll combo which had salmon and tuna. The best part - no cream cheese. I like cream cheese but feel like many restaurants use this as filler and it takes away from the sushi experience and taste. Soy sauce was not overly salty. read more

Full-sized supermarket going on here, from a large produce section, groceries, butchery, dairy and frozen for miles. The store is clean and well-lit. There was no litter in the parking lot and the cart corrals were clear. I was able to pick up a few things to bring to the hotel room and that was breakfast every morning and a snack in the evening. Prices are clear but not always cheap. A few bargains but I would estimate 10% higher than the other people. But it is a much more pleasant shopping experience and that's worth it to me. FYI, Kroger owns the Harris-Teeter chain, so your HT "VIC" card will work here for discounts and fuel points earning. I'm so glad I made the choice to go here instead of across the street to Walmart! Nightshift is extremely rude. Will usually ignore you at self checkout even with the machine loudly announcing "Help is on the way!". While me and my bf waited the young male employee was moonwalking in front of the female employees instead of helping us. This has been our primary food store for many years. Clean, friendly and great selections. However, they are NOT taking the epidemic seriously enough. Yesterday I went shopping there (alone). They have placed "please stand here" labels on the floor to keep shoppers separated at the deli and checkout which is proper. They have an employee sanitizing the shopping carts. They have a sign at the door that only one one family member at a time should enter (a State order). However: 1. 3 deli workers (including the one serving me) ever had no mask or wore the mask as a neck-warmer. 2. I saw another employee (apparently off their shift but still in uniform) shopping with no mask. 3. They also allow customers to enter without masks, and bring in family. Yes I understand that some may need to bring the young kids along, but there is no excuse for a family consisting of a man and a woman with 3 little kids to be allowed in, especially when none of them is wearing a mask. We are a senior couple and neither of us wants this level of preventable exposure. I've heard of another Kroger nearby who enforces State guidance on their employees and customers. I'll be going there next time. read more

Kroger carries fresh produce and it is our go-to place for grocery shopping. While some generic items are a little over priced, the range and quality of products they carry are far superior. And if you're a member, you get a free item every Friday. But, I'm too lazy to go get them before they run out. It's a comparatively clean and quiet store. read more

When it comes to shopping options in Frankfort, there aren't many. I enjoy shopping at one of our 2 Kroger stores because they are always cleaning and keeping the store tidy, but they also have fresh produce. If you download the Kroger app you can download digital coupons to your card and save more money on products you are already buying. Don't shop at Kroger without a Kroger card because you are missing out on saving a lot of money as well as collecting Kroger fuel points which are so handy. I always save my Kroger fuel points where I have gotten up to a dollar off of each gallon on a fill up. I prefer the East side of town store, on Versailles Road over this location because this location at one point changed from being a 24 hour store. read more

We love our Kroger West, actually drive a little farther to get our groceries there. Helpful employees, good pharmacy, items that I am looking for are usually available, produce is fresh, and store is clean. All things that are important to me. Now I am on a click list binge and love it! The click list employees are friendly and helpful, make good choices for produce, meat, etc. If they must make a substitution it is always handled well...giving better value when they can. Click list saves me a couple of hours a week since I also shop for elderly parents. Great store! read more

Kroger wants you to believe you will keep prices low by them forcing you to use the self checkout. The fact of the matter is that Kroger has been reporting record profits on a consistent basis. Which way have you seen prices going? Tonight we purchased more groceries than we felt comfortable running through the self checkout including several item of produce (which are particularly difficult to process through the self checkout). To reward us for our business we were treated to a 37 minute wait at the one open register. It will be interesting to see if customers continue to be treated so disrespectfully after Aldi opens. read more

This store is definitely clean... the people are really friendly, although some look a little over worked... there's hiring signs so I get it. Everything is nicely stocked and the aisles aren't too narrow. Very nice selection in the frozen food aisles. Was disappointed one Sunday morning because the Entenmann's shelves were bare but I know that's not Kroger's fault because they get stocked by their vendor. The food in the deli bistro is very good. I especially recommend the fried chicken tenders. Always fresh and good. They also make the best sandwiches with boar's head meats and cheeses... and the nice employees will accommodate you with any special request you may have for your sandwich. The meat department has very friendly staff, but some of them are a little too much "in work mode". They could stand to be a little friendlier but when talked to directly, they are very pleasant. The seasonal decorations and products are always a little different from other retailers...and very reasonably priced. Always be on the lookout for those awesome digital coupons on Fridays and Saturdays because you really can't afford to miss the deals they have on there. Check out is a breeze... but some are a little narrow... but the baggers and cashiers are friendly. Sometimes you get that young bagger who you know is at their first job and have no idea what they're doing... but I commend Kroger for giving these kids a chance! read more

All around this is a pretty good store. They usually have most of the items I need in stock which is a step up from my old Kroger store. The thing that bothers me about this store is the employees. Many of them honestly just look unprofessional. Between employees with long unkept and colorful hair to girls in yoga pants and then to a guy with his sleeves very obviously cut off his shirt. I get it, I'm not in a business setting when I walk into a grocery store but is it too much to ask that the people handling my groceries and medications look at least halfway put together? The store obviously has uniforms but with half the employees in khakis and the other half in jeans it's almost impossible to tell exactly what the uniform standard is. read more

Employees at this location wrongfully stopped and accused my boyfriend of stealing. When he stood up for himself they took off to the back of the store to hide. When he contacted the store manager the next day they had no apology and basically said if he was stopped then he must have been stealing. read more

This used to be a great place with friendly employees. Some remained but a lot of the new people are rude and act like the customer is a burden even trying to check out. Sorry for interrupting your playing on the phone but I'd like to pay for my groceries. No need to get in my face for it, quite literally half a foot away from me (ever heard of Covid?), and be upset that the register had an error message and telling me you don't care about your job or the store. read more

Wanted to update my review.. since the remodel and expansion, things have gotten way better. New staff, new products. I moved away from Frankfort in 2013, and visit occasionally. I wish the grocery options I have in my new hometown were as good at the Kroger in Frankfort. read more

I live for the clicklist! All of the employees are so courteous and very fast to get our many items to our trunk, even in 90 degree weather! Pharmacy needs more employees as there is usually a long line but they are patient and helpful. Great store! read more
