To Kroger Corporate Management and Asset Protection Lead, I am writing to formally report a deeply disturbing experience my partner, our 15-year-old cousin, and I had at your store on Sunday March 15th at approximately 11:00am. While shopping in the cosmetics department, we were subjected to blatant and persistent shadowing by a store associate (white male mid to late 20s, blue polo, black pants and a name tag that I can't recall due to stress). This individual followed us closely from aisle to aisle, making no effort to hide their surveillance. This was not "customer service"; it was targeted intimidation. As a family--including a minor--who are openly gay and were dressed casually in hoodies, we felt we were being profiled. Whether this bias was based on our clothing, our sexual orientation, or a combination of both, the result was the same: we were treated like criminals rather than customers. When I attempted to de-escalate the situation by calmly asking the associate if there was a problem, the harassment intensified. Rather than acting professionally, a second associate joined the first, creating an intimidating 'two-against-one' dynamic. This targeted confrontation was aggressive and predatory; it left me physically shaking and fearing for my safety in front of my partner and our 15-year-old cousin. Shopping for basic necessities should not be a humiliating experience. My 15-year-old cousin and frankly, all of us, were left feeling shaken and unwelcome, and as a regular customer, I am appalled that Kroger's "Loss Prevention" standards allow for such aggressive and alienating behavior. read more

I have noticed lately the large number of young men working at our Kroger. Most of the time lately the cashier and bagger talk about their lives instead of talking to the customer. Just now, they counted cash in front of us talking about their deposits for their residence dorms at University of Kentucky and how they could use that money . Not once did they look up and acknowledge that we were actually standing there. After they were finished, they started to scan our items. They continue to talk about their life in college together. Emmanuel and Sam did not seem to notice that we were even there. Perhaps having a woman with one of these young men would help them to be a little bit more courteous. Maybe it's not a gender thing, but I don't notice very many young women at the cash registers anymore. I love our Kroger in Versailles because of the hospitality, but I have noticed a change lately. read more

Wow, this location is new, large, and modern. I stopped by for a quick visit while attending to some business. I was very impressed by the cafe, produce, and deli offerings. There is also a Starbucks located inside. read more

We drove to Versailles to go grocery shopping. I'm appalled by the lack of managements ability to train their staff on how to properly wear masks. Over 90% of Kroger associates don't wear masks properly. When approaching the manager she indicated that they have spoken to some staff numerous times but didn't seem to truly care that staff wasn't abiding by corporate policy. I will also be reaching out to corporate with photographs of the employees to show the lack of compliance. As I found out today from corporate associates are required to wear masks completely covering the mouth and nose. I hope this policy is more strictly enforced. read more

I have stopped almost every time I pass by this Kroger. I am obsessed with this Kroger because they have the best gourmet food section. They have a great hot bar and there are always a lot of people eating food here. I bought the best pizza dough here in a ball in a Saran Wrap package that is the best pizza that we have ever had homemade. You roll it out and then put on your toppings and no other Kroger carries this pizza dough! I always see gourmet items that I truly buy and have not been disappointed yet! The Tates Creek Kroger is just a minute or 2 away from my house. Very convenient and usually has very reasonably priced items. There's even days prices are so low you feel like you are being pranked! I wish we had Super Kroger in Florida. What an awesome store. It is huge and offers so much. There is every kind of food you can imagine and such a nice deli, bakery, and seafood department. It puts other grocery stores to shame. This is the nicest Kroger I have ever been in. This one is very well stocked and the prices are good. They have a personal shopper option called click-list or something like that which can be convenient if you need a lot of bulk items. A middle aged woman named Susan came out in the pouring rain and loaded my truck and two others before me, I really respected that effort. I guess the teenage employees were afraid to get wet. I find the produce is usually fresh and the entire store looks as clean and as well organized as one could get. read more

The largest Kroger location I've ever found... I found this place kind of overwhelming and, honestly, had trouble finding things. I also has trouble finding people to ask for help! My main gripe was that their Natural Foods isn't a section, it's spread all over the store... so if you're used to doing a lot of shopping in that "section" be prepared to wander! But, in the end, I found most everything... and their staff was friendly and not at all thrown off by my reusable bags! Plus, I got my exercise in... whew, that's a BIG store! read more

The grocery store is great, the pharmacy is awful. If you need groceries go to Kroger, if you need a prescription go some where else.

I'm giving this newly opened Kroger 3-Stars only because of the sheer volume of products. It is said to be the largest Kroger in Kentucky. It is huge, and warehouse-like. Just curious to see. I have multiple Kroger stores in my area and don't even shop in those, therefore, I'm not likely to ever go to this one, so out of my way. I'm a Trader Joe's girl (with a smattering of Aldi for certain things) and cannot be enticed to shop at Kroger. However, for those in Versailles and surrounding area, I'm sure it will be a boon to their food shopping. read more

I have never visited your store, I live in a different city, but my elderly Mom shops there. I want to thank everyone for taking such good care of her. There was one particular visit where an employee helped her out to her car. She is ill and has trouble with mobility also. He put her groceries in rhe car for her and then helped her get in the car. The Kroger in Versailles has been rebuilt and is one of the largest Kroger stores in the US. The deli area is great, featuring the traditional steam table and salad bar, but also has a Mediterranean and Crepe station, a brick oven pizza station, a full sushi bar and full sized bakery. Prices are very reasonable and the food is all freshly made. The store also features clothing, furniture and a toy department besides the normal grocery items. I ended my meal with three delicious (and very bourbony) bourbon balls from the desert counter. Would definitely eat here again. read more

I'm pretty sure this new Kroger has just about everything ... except plantain chips. An entire wall of organic / healthy bulk foods - where are my plantain chips? I would give this store 5 stars but the staff is still working out the bugs and figuring out where things are. It took a 2 time trek around the city store before I ever found reusable grocery bags. My only real complaint is that entry and exit of this location can be a bit tedious. If Versailles and Kroger work together to open up the secondary side road connecting previously opened stores/McDonald's area; this would resolve some of these traffic problems. As it is currently, you can only enter and exit from one MAJOR highway and rush hour causes traffic back ups around this store. read more

Living in a small town, (though close to a larger town) having a "super" grocery store like Kroger's is wonderful. The people that work there get to know you if you shop there regularly. It is also a great place to see old friends and say "hello." As to goods and services, there is a wide selection that is incredibly good considering that the population of Versailles is not overly crowded. And there is another grocery store in Versailles, most likely unbeknown to the other reviewer. I think the store does a nice job and as a resident, I am grateful that they are there. If anyone has ever shopped in a country where the grocery stores have stale goods and poor service, (I have) this grocery store would rate a huge "Hooray" for fully stocked shelves and fresh goods. read more

The biggest and the best and yes, we drive there from Louisville to shop and eat food from their "restaurant" area!! They even have outdoor seating. They have a wide wide selection of unique items that you aren't able to find in other Kroger. From clothes to housewares to a full pharmacy to a gigantic flower area to a Starbucks this Kroger has it all. A must if you are in the area or even if you aren't. Our favorite area is the sweet shop. They make the most amazing bourbon balls and Buckeyes. Yes, they are delicious and very reasonably priced. Could never make them for the price you pay for them at this store. You should take a road trip and shop at this store. Plan to spend some time there. You will be amazed. read more

this newer Kroger location opened around july 2015, fondly referred to as 'the village,' its like a whole foods and super walmart had a baby. what I don't but at costco can definitely be found here, organic romaine and other assorted organic produce, kombuchas, blue corn chips, dry bulk selection, rice milk (in the cereal aisle), coconut ice cream, not to mention pharmacy, self check out, gasoline, sushi and multiple deli stations (pizza, chicken, teriyaki bowls) its almost unreal. The staff is still a little lost ("they mixed all the natural foods in with the regular ones, we are still adjusting") but staff is helpful as always. I made an impulse purchase today... 'fleece tights' and was conveniently handed a 15% coupon for clothes and accessories by a friendly clerk nearby... it might be love. did I mention kombucha? so you may need to circle this behemoth a few extra laps, burn off some pre-game calories, and pick up your UK game gear near check out read more

Versailles Ky Kroger pharmacy staff was rude to me this morning. I went to the drive thru and waited and waited. Finally got out of my car to see if there was anyone in the car parked at the window. I saw an arm in the car, looked up to see pharm tech waving the universal x sign as if to stop traffic and two of them standing there. Since I was standing there asked if I could just drop the RX off but adamantly NO. My poor 6 mo old grandchild had spent the night in the Er with protracted vomiting and I was trying to help by dropping off the RX and taking the 2 yr old to day care, So I walked IN with the 2 yr old. I was told the drive thru was for convenience and not speed. It was not convenient. The lack of empathy astounded me. read more

I live in Georgetown and work in Versailles. I was anxious to visit the new Kroger store in Versailles as I truly enjoy the Georgetown store. When I got to the store I was drawn to a horse display in the front. Horses in Versailles, makes a lot of sense. Inside the horse display were bags of an "off-brand" horse feed from Ohio. In the store an obvious market campaign has been launched to feature "Local" and " KY Proud". In this area are two of the premier horse feed companies in the world , McCauley's and Hallway, and McCauley is a mile away! It is a bit disappointing to find the Ohio bags. If Kroger sold horse feed and sold that brand that would be one thing, but to simply give free advertising to an outside company with inferior products says something about Kroger's commitment to local businesses and farms. I pointed this out to Kroger management and their corporate offices..... so they obviously do not care. read more
