My brother in law shops here when he doesn't want to go to town. And since it's close to Sterling State Park, I bet it gets a lot of business. It reminds me of the one in Dundee. It's very small, but it has everything you'd need. I went there to get the 3 for $10 pop deal( yep, i grew up in Michigan), plus their 4 for $5 chip deal and was in and out in fifteen minutes. They had the sale items they advertised and also a large selection on non sale items and produce. The cashier was friendly and helpful.

Prices seem to be higher than Meijer but occasionally sale prices are the best in the county. They are always kind to me. I use a mobility scooter because I have muscular dystrophy. They are also as helpful as possible to old people with Alzheimer's disease. It is always very clean. They sell gas but it is over priced. They often have bargains on seasonal items they place outdoors to lure you inside. The employees seem to have a lot of integrity and ask if they can help handicapped people. Kroger is a preferred pharmacy with some of the big insurance companies so you will get better prices than elsewhere if Kroger is on the preferred list read more

OK, I'm done with this Kroger. I get the weekly sale paper, and sometimes there's a good sale on something in addition to my normal grocery list, so I'll ad the sale item to my list. Invariably, they don't have the item that I want that's on sale. Yes, I can go up front and get a rain check, and make a special trip back to the store, but that is getting old. The straw that finally broke the camel's back happened about a week ago. I had gone in for my regular grocery shopping and there were also several good sales in the flier. Out of the 16 things on my meager shopping list, they didn't have 9 of them, including both sale items. I went back a few days later with the list of 9 items (plus a few more things I needed) and still got skunked on 6 items. Example: One of the most common items in the produce section is yellow cooking onions, and they used to have a huge bin full (as well as one for russet potatoes) but now there are no large bins for common items, only small areas on the shelf. I asked the nice employee in produce if they had any onions, and he sighed as if I was the 100th person to ask that question. He dutifully went into the back to check, to no avail. He apologized and told me that the employees keep telling management that they need to adjust the orders on many common items, but nobody listens. The workers there seem frustrated and deflated in their inability to provide customers with what they come in for. I couldn't wait to fill out their online survey and when the question came up about whether I wanted someone to contact me about my issues, I said yes this time. I was asked if I preferred email or phone contact and I said phone. Of course I got a lip service email. They don't listen to their employees OR their customers. I'll drive to Meijer from now on, which is four times the distance, but I know I only will need to make one trip. read more

Some workers are nice but most are lazy and have extremely poor customer service. The red-head store manager and others have been seen standing right outside the entrance smoking. Very unprofessional and a health hazard to those with respiratory issues. I've found many times the bread in the deli to be moldy, other food to be expired but yet still for sale and I'm not talking almost expired but has been expired. Wonder how the health dept would feel about that. Been shopping there over 20 years and never seen it so bad. read more

Love this Kroger. The pharmacy staff is so friendly and knowledgable and goes out of their way to help you. The rest of the store is super friendly as well, and very clean and organized. Love the clearance racks in the bottle room. Great deals every time I go in to the store on random products. Almost never a wait in line either. I wish the store had more of a diverse selection of food and brands, but it serves its purpose for major shopping. I just head to Meijer and Trader Joe's to get more obscure items. read more

This Kroger is a bit smaller than most Kroger stores, but that's nice in that you can usually get in and out with your groceries without much effort. Like what seems with all Kroger locations, the gas station really messes with the flow of the parking lot. Being smaller, they sometimes don't have more unique items you might be looking for. read more

Love this Kroger store, always clean & employees are friendly. My only issue is when they have the sales on 7 up products they NEVER have diet Sunkist Orange available in 6 p.k. Bottles!!! Case's of regular but never diet. So I usually end up at Wal-Mart for my beverages but that's okay. read more

the pharmacy is the best around because the pharmacist gets to know each customer and that helps when dealing with medication and interactions. They offer automatic refills for when someone forgets and there are points that go towards gas that the customer receives. The reason for the 4 stars is the store. I think the prices are very high and the produce isn't the best. I can go to Meijer (which I can't stand due to traffic and prices also) and buy some cilantro and it last me a week... I can buy it at Kroger and it won't last a day. The meat can be the same way. I think they lack keeping things fresh. I also do not like how the self check out seems to be their main cash out. read more

Very friendly staff, great prices (lot's of coupons including free items and discounted gas) and good food. They extended the organic section, which is great to have a much bigger selection of product. The only downside is the quality of food. Sometimes fresh produce is not as tasting and fresh as it is with other retailers like Costco for example. read more
