It's a very compact store.As I came in the door the cashier was on speaker phone talking to to someone about coloring her hair. They have a very good selection of Christmas Ale beer which is popular seasonal beer right now. They have the option to build your own six pack but sadly no containers to put the beer in. As most of these beers come in bottles this was disappointing. When I went up to the front to ask if they had any empty six pack containers the cashier indicated no. As I cashed out I had a bottle of tequila and six of these Christmas ales that were about three to four dollars a piece. So my tab was about $80 which I thought was a little high and as I'm rolling down the street to head towards home I noticed she charged me for two six packs of one of the particular Christmas beers instead of two singles. Which added additional $20 to my bill. Ouch. So now do I want to get back in the car and go back over there? This place has kind of a hard in/out. My fault for not double checking because she was still on the phone and distracted. I think this is why the error occurred. Partly my bad. They also charge a convenience fee for using your own $$ aka debit card. I should definitely probably go back over there but forget it. They just will not get any more of my business. Suggest local folks head over to Josephs. Best liquor/beer store in town

When commissioned by Major William Oliver, renowned architect Isaiah Rogers designed a first class modern hotel and located the building in the section of downtown referred to as the "Middlegrounds". I felt very welcome here even though I had my 2 small children with me. I was fortunate to be here while they were in the process of distilling a batch and the main guy himself took the time to bring me back and explain the process and let me see it first hand. They use many local grains and products from neighboring farms. The place is set up very nice inside, plenty of room with a comfortable ambience and feel. Kaleigh was helping me along with Izzy and Alexis. They were great and very patient with me as I asked many questions. They let me sample some of their different spirits so I could see what I preferred the most. Some of the sampling was directly from the wooden casks as seen in the attached picture. This place was a bank at one point in time that was robbed, they have a cocktail in commemoration of the man who robbed the bank in the 1930s , Kaleigh added that he took and destroyed mortgage papers which at the time would absolve the people of their debt to the bank giving him a sort of Robin Hood persona. My spouse, who joined us, is not a whiskey drinker so she was happy to see that they also had local wines and beers she could enjoy.
