This used to be the best place to shop. Now, they overcharge for your groceries and getting help from customer service is impossible! A different rep every time and they all ask for the same information, even though you have already given it out several times. I just got tired of basically being ignored and no resolution. today was a train wreck i have shopped here for a very long time business has shopped here and family and even the husband. i was even a boost memeber and look for the sales and do understand how to read and do the ads of the weekly papers that come out. this week ad says " honey glaze ham limit 2 with 25 dollar purchase and then it says sugaardale ham with additional 25 dollar purchase. it dont say how many times a week i can do this, it dont say how many times i can come to the store in a week and buy 25 dollars worth of your grocerys and get them hams all it says i must spend 25 dollars to purchase a ham. so if i choice to come 7 x a week i should be able to come 7 x a week i should not " i should not " be chewed out by one of your managers in front of your other employees and told that i am not allowed to do this and that i should only be able to do this once. you just lost a 200 dollar purchase today due to your red coated manger today. thank you etown ky for bringing in another grocery store like publics and trust me if you dont like us droping about 1000 a week at your store due to your rude a manager over a ham in front of everyone in the store at a check out counter and your other managers doing nothing about it then that is on you read more

Why is Kroger's always 30 to 40 cents higher per gallon than other gas stations? If you have a Kroger rewards card it's essentially useless when you earn 10 -20 cents off per gallon when everybody else's price is already lower. So ask yourself this, why buy groceries at Kroger's when they are higher than other grocery stores and pay more at the gas pump as well? It's wrong and gouging the American ppl. read more

Here's another Kroger ripoff that will absolutely blow your mind. Kroger sells banana pudding & I picked up a small container for $4.76. After dinner my mouth was watering for the taste of banana pudding. I served up a dish. There wasn't a single banana in the entire container. Not one. My wife called Kroger to complain & they explained they no longer put bananas in their banana pudding to cut down on waste. Say what? No bananas in banana pudding seriously? That's like making peanut butter & not using any peanuts. I must give Kroger credit though. Instead of raising price on banana pudding without bananas they kept the price the same. ordered a cake for my daughter on a Monday for a pick up on Tuesday late morning. The cake wasn't done and they called one of two managers over. Sure enough, he pulled out a cell phone and saw the order right there. He then apologized and said he would take care of it but I said, "you know, I can wait until Thursday." Headed back over there Thursday and absolutely no cake and still no one knew about the order, AGAIN! Now scrambling all over town to find someone who will actually make a cake for me. Not super fond of the store selection, but this is my go to gas station when I visit Etown. You always have kroger gas rewards and you save .03 a gallon with your Kroger plus card. I also like that they have cases of water out sometimes and that makes it super convenient to just buy and throw in my trunk. read more

The worst bakery ever! I ordered a white cake with white butter cream icing, decorations were suppose to be red poinsettias with green leaves and writing. ... I received a yellow cake with some kind of white gel icing on it that was so thin you could see the cake through it and blobs of reddish orange outlining the edge of the cake. A very ugly cake! The only thing that was correct on this cake was the spelling, and that was done in black not green like I ordered. Dear Krogers, I have ordered Turkey dinners from you for many years. When I placed my order I told the lady I wanted my turkey cut and ready to go when I picked it up. I'm still trying to figure out why we ever come here. People stand around in the aisles as if they've never shopped in a store before. Everyone looks lost, confused, bewildered... The produce is somewhat better than Fort Knox Commissary but that's not saying much. We encountered liquid soap that clearly had issues during the shipping process and should never have been put on the shelf. The baggers and cashiers don't like to stop talking to each other long enough to pay attention to you and what they should be doing. The few times it's been more convenient to shop here, usually evenings, they do seem to have enough check out lines opened if you don't want to use self check out so that's a plus. read more

Nope! Nope! Nope! NEVER going back! Right off the bat, parking is horrendous! There are hardly ever any spots, plus getting out of the lot is kinda funky too. The selection here is not the greatest. I couldn't find plantains in the produce section and there were only 5-6 bunches of garlic available in the little basket. I couldn't find the coffee I was looking for either. On top of that, prices are pretty high. Even with the free Kroger card. I can definitely save more money elsewhere. The worst part is how narrow the aisle are! There is barely just enough space for two shopping carts to squeeze past each other. Having to weave through traffic and take detours doesn't make for a relaxing grocery trip. I know most Kroger's all the same but it's something special about this one. Mainly because while I was in CDL school I had to rely on my food, drinks and money being sent to me. I was complaining about a member of management who was very rude. I was complaining about the selection of items in the store, which again is not the 7.25/hr employees fault. I love the checkers that work there and feel sorry for them that they have to work in the conditions that the store management and upper management promote. My point was that instead of wasting so much time being rude to me over $1, she could've spent her time helping customers. There Pharmacy's people are nice and friendly and don't take six or seven hours to fill a prescription. After waiting 1 hour at Kroger at town drive, I called. They told Meir would not be ready until 6 or 7 that night. I got the prescription back, which she through at me. I took it Kroger on dolphin Drive in Elizabeth town just 7 min away. The people where so nice and friendly. They fill my Prescription in just 20 min. That saved me hours of sitting in Kroger's parking lot. I recently switched insurance and my pharmacy did not accept it. I took them to Kroger to see if they could fill them. The lady at the pharmacy, Summer, assured me that they would accept the insurance, call right away to transfer them from the old pharmacy and to also have them filled within a few mins. All of it was done within 10 mins while I browsed some groceries. I also had a coupon for a completely free item of a higher priced brand. I asked if Kroger would accept it as i wasn't sure since it didn't list a retailer and told her I was embarrassed it wouldn't scan and had been afraid to use it. She told me to ask for her when I picked up my meds and she would come herself and scan the item to save any embarrassment i may have. It scanned perfectly and she was absolutely wonderful. I love shopping at Kroger, but not this one. The place is clean, but runs out of a lot of things. I understand if it is the day before the big restock, but it is like that everyday. The front staff is unbelievably conceited and full of douche bags. They act like you do not exist and walk around like they are gods. Probably because they are teenagers that over tan and think they are hot, but actually look like pumpkins. Sometimes that creates confusion for me, which makes me think I am at a pumpkin farm, until my wife tells me we are at Kroger and everything is going to be okay. I was discriminated against and racial profiled here at this store by the self-checkout cashier as well as the manager. I felt a huge defamation of character as they accused me of having fake coupons. Everyone in the store thought I was a scam artist because of them. They forced me to leave the store with my child and my purse still inside. I was called racist and vulgar names and treated like filth. Other customers laughed at me and called me names as well. The two employees made fun of me in front of other customers. The manager was confrontational with my elderly father and made him have blood pressure issues. I just found out tonight that, at 10:30pm or 11:00pm, depending on the site, Kroger turns off the lights to all their freezer cases, meat cases, produce displays, etc...and dims the store lights!!!! I am vision-impaired, and couldn't read packages when this happened, so I had to leave, having wasted a night-time trip to grocery shop!!! Since it's so hot during the day, I decided to shop at night...BIG mistake!!!!!! It's a horrible way to treat customers, especially disabled ones. And it seems to me that this would be a violation of safety regulations! I don't intend to shop at Kroger again until they apologize to me and everyone else for such stupidity, calling themselves saving energy! I will pursue this matter, since Customer Service told me Corporate Kroger's would not approve of this, and the local managers tell me it's Corporate in Cincinnati, Ohio, that has ordered this, for over a decade now!!!! Manager told me it started back when California was having an energy crisis. I lived in California then, and even their stores kept the lights on when they were open!!! I have no idea why anyone shops here. The prices are ridiculous, the selection is poor, the produce section is regularly empty and the remaining produce is soggy and moldy, or there will be 3 sad looking cucumbers on the shelf (the 4 or 5 times a week I go there, it always looks the same, its not just after a busy hour). You can seriously go across the street to walmart and get the exact same items for half the price. If they sold higher quality merchandise, I could understand the prices, but it's the exact same thing as Walmart. I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and have spoken to the produce manager as well as sent several emails to Kroger HQ complaining over the past 2 years, but nothing has changed. Last night I went in, same thing---produce section is empty and sorry looking, they were completely out of several items on my list and they didn't even sell 2 other items. My two bags of purchases--about 3 days worth of food, cost $70. I won't be wasting my time or money at Kroger again. read more
