This is your old school style local grocer. These guys have that 60s-70s feel when you walk in with…read morean incredibly friendly staff; they even have the manager podium in the front of the store!! The building is a bit run down, however that's part of the experience. Their prices are fair and they offer a great amount of local food, mainly honey! I only stopped here on my trip because I was looking for places with dry ice for my cooler and these folks had it! I ended up buying some more road snacks because they were a heck of a lot cheaper than Kroger! I'd go here again because of the great customer service, classic style feel, and the local selection offered here. Ignore that 5 dollar signs too, whoever set up this yelp account didn't know what they were doing! Remember always buy local!

Meanwhile there was a western union form from another customer sitting on the counter right in front of me which included very detailed information about a client, full name, dob, I'd number, address, etc. After the 15 minute wait the lady finally turns around and says how can I help you. I tell her I am there to send a western union and she says "we stop that at 6" it's now 6:11pm. I ask her when do they close she says 7. She was extremely rude and unapologetic even though I had been standing there since before 6. I feel that if you are open, you should be open and provide all services. People making blank trips is frustrating enough and then met with this attitude is over the top. Also customer information should not be left on display!

I love this store...it has a great selection of all things organic, grass fed, non gmo, etc…read more.. fresh meats, pork, chicken...dry goods, they have it all. Friendly helpful staff. But the MAIN reason I go there when I visit from Galveston is to pick up my in laws grass fed beef...from 2S Ranch in Palo Pinto, TX (they sell it frozen) The Schultz-Simmons (2S) Ranch is beautiful and the cows are treated ethically and raised w/conscientious farming practices. Try 2S Ranch Beef...you won't regret it! BUY LOCAL SUPPORT LOCAL

Beware of shopping here if you have specific medical conditions or boundaries. I went in to find a…read morespecific herbal drops for gut health. A female employee directed me to the supplement aisle and began pushing digestive enzymes, claiming that because I don't have a gallbladder, I'm not digesting fats and proteins properly. When I politely told her I could not take those ingredients due to a medical condition of stomach acid overproduction, she refused to respect my boundaries. Instead, she aggressively pushed the products, told me my licensed doctors were "wrong," and claimed "there is no such thing as the overproduction of stomach acid." She defensively claimed she's "been doing this for years" and accused my doctors of tricking me. To make matters worse, she began talking incredibly loudly and became highly animated, causing a scene that made other shoppers stare. When I repeated that I couldn't take them and walked away to remove myself from the situation, she openly chuckled at my assumed ignorance. Even when I moved entirely to the self-serve herb jars, I could still hear her loudly mocking me down the aisle to anyone nearby, repeating that "there's no such thing."Gastric acid overproduction (hyperchlorhydria) is a real, clinically diagnosed condition. A grocery clerk has no right to diagnose an anatomy issue, give false medical advice, or publicly humiliate and harass a customer who states a product is medically unsafe for them. I was so upset I didn't look at her name before walking away but she was an older plus size Caucasian woman with light colored hair. This behavior is dangerous, highly unprofessional, and a massive liability for the store. I hope ownership and management address this immediately. I wonder if she's been doing this.

With Beaumont being the biggest city in the Coonie Triangle, naturally it has a Walmart. When I…read morefirst started coming to this area, it was located on the west side of the Eastex Freeway, where a car dealership is now. It moved to this location some time since 2010. At least someone was able to figure out what to do with that yuge plot of land with all that concrete. Walmart is now located near Parkdale Mall, several minutes' drive from the Eastex. Like many big-box stores on Dowlen, there are smaller buildings in front so it's easy to miss the big box waaaay in the back. It's hard to get into and out of the parking lot. This is one of the bigger Wally Worlds I've been to. Reasonably clean, large selection, customer service is lacking. Harder to find my way around this one than most I've been to. But it did have a computer part that the Vidor one was out of. Like most Wally Worlds, this one is actively moving people away from a checkout line and into a self-checking area. Not only is it easier to steal things, but it can isolate us from other human beings. With Texas pretty much out of the Scamdemic mindset, I make it a point to go to a line where a checker is NOT wearing an oxygen blocker and show the checker a lot of love. They have a tough job that pays low, so I try to pass the love along, and it's important to rebuild the personal connections that have been stolen from us since 2020. You can't do that in a self-checkout area. Walmart is there if you're in the area, but I'll stick to the Vidor one if I need to go there.

The machine had been used and Walmart put it back on the floor to resale it.. I took it back the next day today 9/12/25 and bought a different machine Singer Heavy Duty 44S and got it home and the only thing inside the box was a plastic cover over the machine! No packing, No book, No nothing... NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything other than food from there. Someone had used and OPENED both sewing machines..
