As it was morning, there were already showers available so we didn't wait. I got the confirmation immediately. We got our stuff together and headed in. Easy to dial the confirmation number into our designated shower, step inside and lock the door behind us. Inside, a big private space. And CLEAN. Sink, toilet and shower, complete with towels. They only have the same soap that is used at the sinks in the washroom, but that's okay - we were prepared. Mrs. K. and I had our showers and we feel a TON more human now. Clean! But I have found myself around Port Arthur a few times, and on occasion I get some of the family's food while in the area. Mostly at this H-E-B. It's a little drive from Freeway 73, in an older but safe neighborhood. It's smaller, so that answers your question. Not only is the building smaller, the selection is too, and it feels cramped. So far, I've been able to snag what I needed. The prices are low, too. But I saw no pre-made deli sandwiches, no meat market, few household goods like TP or kitchen supplies. For these, go to Beaumont. Part of the small H-E-B has to do with population. BMT has as many people as the whole area from Nederland to Bridge City, and Port Arthur has a larger and worse ghetto. So this little store is fitting for this area. Bottom line, this H-E-B may be one-stop shopping, but seek out other stores too if you can't find what you need here
