I am again requesting a switch but again told that is not possible. So my $2100 fee, was just paid and I don't have a doctor. It is difficult enough to find good medical care in SLO County but one would think that Arroyo Medical Group would care about its patients and find a solution.

Although this facility is clean, modern, and well-maintained, my experience with the medical care…read morewas disappointing. I visited this urgent care for a persistent cough and sore throat. During my visit, I informed the physician of my significant medical history, including cardiac issues and a recent thyroid cancer diagnosis. Based on my symptoms, he ordered a chest X-ray. After reviewing the X-ray, I was told that many people were experiencing coughs lasting several weeks and was advised to go home, drink hot tea, and use over-the-counter medications. Given my symptoms and medical history, I left feeling that my concerns had not been thoroughly evaluated or taken seriously. Ultimately, I sought care elsewhere in the Bay Area and received treatment that addressed the underlying issue. While I understand that not every illness requires aggressive intervention, I expected a more thoughtful assessment and greater attention to the full clinical picture. The facility itself is impressive, but based on my experience, I would not recommend this urgent care.
