Middle of December 2025 they changed my 2014 Prius hybrid battery, I'm still unable to pass smog because the permanent code remains. Hybrid 2 go said, sometimes you have to drive it for 4 months before the permanent code disappears. In process waiting for the permanent code P0A80 code to disappear. The company as a whole was responsive with timely updates of the upcoming service and everything was explained in detail as to what I should expect from the service. My appt time was between 0800 and 0900 and I received a text saying he would be here at 0844. He showed up at exactly 0844. Michael explained what he was going to do and why then went to work. They offer a 200$ discount and quote you a price that is pretax. Our final quoted number on our Camry was $1699 and the invoice arrived at $1899. The "discount" was not reflected anywhere in the invoice. The guy on the phone was rude and talked in circles about why the invoice was so confusing. These guys replaced my hybrid battery 2 years ago. I forgot about the warranty. They did a great job the first time and so I called them and it's getting ready to have them do it again. It was very cost-effective the first time so I wasn't complaining. All on their own they asked how long ago I had replaced my hybrid battery and when they found out it was only 2 years ago... He said oh you're covered under warranty. He had me send in my engine codes and came in and replaced the whole thing no questions asked. What a great group of people. Made my reservation with Oz and he was absolutely amazing and helped me with more than that gave me advice on the car which saved me a ton of money in the long run. When the hybrid battery went out in my 2005 Prius over a year ago, I did a lot of internet research trying to find the best replacement option, knowing that a new hybrid battery was not going to be worth the expense. My sister had used a different refurb company before and they had several issues with the dash lights spontaneously going out, and I didn't want the same thing to happen. I took a chance on Hybrid2Go, and I'm so glad that I did. It has worked beautifully since we replaced it, and I haven't had any issues whatsoever. If I could give more stars I would! Here's a quick background on my situation. I own a 2013 Prius C, and although it was thoroughly maintained, the hybrid battery was useless in early 2024. I tried to wait, but the mpg just wasn't cutting it. So I started to look around, starting with Toyota, then my local mechanic, and then random mechanics... ended up being a daunting task, especially when hearing "it'll be at least $3,000 and that's not including labor." So I went online for hybrid specific companies and Hybrid2Go came up. I was skeptical because it seemed too good to be true. I called customer service and directly spoke with someone who kept it really real with me. My car's value is not worth what I was being quoted for at other places, so I was pleasantly surprised when customer service offered me the refurbished battery at half the previous quote's price. He told me that that's what he would do, and that the batteries are backed with a warranty if anything happens. I definitely had peace of mind. So I scheduled a time for service. The installer came to my house, I pulled the car into the driveway so he could have better access, took out the backseat, removed the battery and replaced it with the refurbished one, tested it, replaced the back seat, and then took it for a spin around the block to test it out. Everything was so smooth.... I think it literally took 40 minutes for all of that. I couldn't be more thankful for Hybrid2Go's service. I have had a refurbished hybrid battery in my car for about a month and already need replacing they don't look like they do a good job on putting in new cells or refurbishing the cells. I need to go somewhere this week but it seems I won't be able to because the battery is still not in town yet. I was honestly assuming that the battery would last at least two years, but I guess they only last a month. If you can spend probably a little bit more money on a better company, I definitely would, but I didn't have money and they seemed like a good deal but I guess I'm paying for what I get. I fell for the low price of an ad that ended up being for a refurbished battery. But the price I paid for a brand new one was the same as my regular mechanic quoted me, but also included the installation and convenience of a person delivering and installing it on the street in front of my house. The company is new and growing and the owner is apparently struggling with reputation damage from an earlier business partnership. But things happen and I really want to support its green yet convenient business model. I talked with the manager (owner?) on the phone for a while discussing my options and what I hoped would happen. I found him to be decent and really straightforward. I made an appointment with a one hour window for a half hour installation. And it all happened on time and without a hitch. I have a new Toyota battery with papers and the car runs as good as ever. OK I just got my new batteries installed and here is the 411 on what they do at hybrid to go, they did bring me genuine gen 4 cells that look brand new serial number on one of the cells is 266YNT 09908Z B5. The first 2 numbers are day of the month. Next single digit is the month, with xyz being October, November, December. Next letter is the year code. L is 2010 M is 2011, etc. My new modules were manufactured on 6/26/2023. The cage looked like it was almost new, I assume that they take the old packs and change the guts then re sticker them and call them new but I am just guessing. The computer inside had a Toyota sticker on it that said 89890-47080. My car came with a 47090 ecu. The 80 is an earlier model, but it does not really matter. My car runs fine either way, Just a different engineering revision. The battery had a smaller hybrid to go label on it and it stated "NEW" on the top for new cells plus the date of assembly and the name of the technician who put the pack together. The 2 guys that came and removed the old and installed the new battery in about 20 minutes, no kidding. They had me start the car before putting the interior covers back on. I paid $2,687.50 with my debit card and the instructions were to drive it, so I did. I took a round trip for 44 miles to a town nearby and back, had a little stop and go for lights but mostly was going 62mph. The best MPG I have ever had since owning the car since Jan 2003 on this same drive was 39 MPG. Today I got 51.5 MPG! I had an amazing experience with the installers as well as feel like I have a brand new car that works better than it ever did before. If you are in the market for legitimate brand new gen 4 cells I would say to you that Hybrid To Go comes highly recommended from me. read more

MUST READ! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND BAD SERVICE! I'm glad I did not do business with this company. I called Josh on Friday morning and told him I'm going out of town Saturday and it was urgent to have my car by the afternoon. He said he could have my car ready to go by 2pm to hook me knowing that was not possible. I had full confidence in Hybrid2go and didn't bother calling another shop that same Friday. At first I thought cool this company is giving me a lifetime warranty and gave me a promo discount. I called Friday evening to confirm my Saturday appointment and they said the tech would contact me. I left to work Saturday and left my Prius at home ready for them to work on it. I never got any updates so started to get concerned because I was planning to take my urgent road trip to see my family. I called them several times and text. Finally the tech contacted me and said he can do my car at 8pm. That definitely would not work for my plans. Long story short they are not reliable and I found a shop in Long Beach called Mo's Hybrid. They got me on my way in 45 minutes and they did it $700 cheaper than Hybrid 2go. Knowing what I experienced I wouldn't have faith in their "lifetime warranty" you can read my conversations with them in the pictures attached to this review. By the way the tech was more professional than the owner. Josh you can learn a few things from your tech when it comes to customer service. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY This is the biggest scam, and I feel like an idiot for trusting anyone at this company. Over the course of 5 months, they've had to replace my battery 3 separate times. Their "lifetime warranty" sounds great until you learn that they put in barely functioning batteries that die after several weeks. I've had to pay for towing and diagnostics at auto shops, totaling over $600. When I call and explain they first try to argue with you and tell you that it's not the battery. They say that if it is the battery, they'll cover the diagnostic, seemingly an act of good faith. When this happens, I get the car towed to a shop and they confirm the battery is failing. Hybrid2Go then acts like it's a huge inconvenience for them to fulfill their lifetime warranty, taking anywhere from 4-7 days to schedule an appointment. When the repairman finally shows up, they refuse to pay for the diagnostic despite their earlier promise. They are incredibly rude, acting like their battery failing is my fault. They originally offered $50 for a good review (now deleted obviously) - DO NOT TRUST ANY OF THE REVIEWS - PEOPLE WERE PAID TO POST THEM read more
