All the guys were kind, honest, and the work was fairly price and completed in less than three hours. Highly recommend them whether you are local or passing through and a problem arises unexpectedly. I will never return to Big Brand Tire, and I strongly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else…read more I made a 9:00 a.m. appointment the day before and was already sitting outside on the curb when the employee who ultimately handled my vehicle arrived. For management's reference specificly, he was not wearing anything that identified him as an employee. His appearance was not the issue. His attitude and the way he handled my appointment were the issue. Between this description, the appointment time, and my service records, management will know exactly who I am referring to. There was no professional introduction, and the interaction felt disrespectful and unprofessional from the beginning. He seemed embarrassed that I was there waiting before he arrived, and it felt like his ego took over from that point forward. When he pulled up my appointment, nearly everything written in the notes was incorrect. By the end of the visit, he presented me with an estimate for more than $800 in supposed repairs. The amount seemed outrageous, and the entire situation made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. I declined the work, asked for my keys back, and paid more than $100 for the oil change they had already completed. I immediately drove across the street to SM Tire and asked them to inspect everything Big Brand Tire claimed was wrong. They checked my vehicle and after a multipoint inspection everything was fine. They rotated my tires, treated me with respect, and handled me like a valued customer. The difference between these two businesses was unbelievable. I left Big Brand Tire feeling frustrated, disrespected, and pressured into repairs I did not need. I left SM Tire feeling respected and confident that I had received an honest assessment. SM Tire was quick, responsible, honest, and reliable. They have earned my trust and all of my future business. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and questionable repair estimates. Skip Big Brand Tire and go somewhere that respects its customers and earns their trust.

I chose this shop because they were a AAA-approved facility. I trusted that AAA approval meant I…read morewould be dealing with a reputable business that would be honest and transparent. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Before my vehicle was ever brought to the shop, I clearly explained that my battery had been dead for a couple of weeks. This was not a surprise and was documented on my paperwork. I was upfront from the very beginning about the condition of my vehicle. After they received my car, I was told that because the vehicle was "dead on arrival," they could not perform diagnostics without installing a new battery first. The problem is that I was still charged a diagnostic fee even though no actual diagnostic testing could be completed. Elizabeth let her mechanic bully me by saying, "your not taking your car off my lot without paying for diagnostics" mind u no official paperwork or machine was hooked up for this "diagnostic".I was essentially told that determining that the vehicle needed a battery counted as a diagnostic. If I had been told beforehand, "Because your battery has been dead, you will still be charged a diagnostic fee even if we cannot complete testing," I could have made an informed decision. That information was not clearly communicated before I was charged. I even asked if AAA could install a battery so the vehicle could be properly tested(since it was hella cheaper), and I was specifically told, "Not on my lot your not. Instead, I was pushed toward purchasing a battery through the shop, which I felt was significantly overpriced. What made this even more frustrating is that after paying for the battery and the diagnostic charge, my vehicle later went back into limp mode again in about 2 days. The entire reason I brought my vehicle in was to figure out what was wrong, and after spending money on a battery and diagnostics, I was still dealing with the original issue. At that point, I felt like the service I paid for did not actually solve the problem. I contacted AAA because I felt the situation was not acceptable. AAA initially instructed me to try resolving it directly with the shop. I did, but the resolution they offered was another diagnostic...lol yeah right. I went back to aaa and the shop wanted to only refund the diagnostic fee while refusing to include my AAA discount. I was told I would not receive the $50 AAA discount back. I felt this was unfair, especially given the circumstances. I continued to push the issue because I did not feel the resolution addressed the full situation. After further involvement from AAA, the shop agreed to include the AAA discount in the refund because they had no choice. Even the refund process became unnecessarily stressful. I was told the check would be mailed, but then I was informed there was an issue with my address. The address information had been entered incorrectly on the shops end, with the numbers switched around, and I was told I had to pick up the check in person instead. After everything that had happened, I did not feel comfortable going alone and brought my dad with me. Elizabeth didn't even look me in the face handed her mechanic the letter of refund and just felt so angry and unwelcoming. The communication during the refund process felt unprofessional and hostile, which added even more stress to an already frustrating situation. I am sharing this because I do not want another customer to go through the same experience. Which i see in the reviews no that they did the same thing to another person and tried to charge 500 for a battery. I was honest and transparent from the beginning about my vehicle's condition. My expectation was simple: clear communication, fair pricing, and honest service. Unfortunately, that was not what I experienced at all. I chose this shop because of the AAA approval, but after my experience i realized that that doesnt mean ANYTHING, I would strongly encourage others to ask detailed questions about what they are actually being charged for before authorizing any work or else they will threaten to keep your car.
