Got a quote over $730 from Big Brand Tires off Grand for a control arm replacement and alignment on my fiancée's car. Called this place on a whim after my dad mentioned my grandpa used to bring our family cars here. Right away he was one of those guys you could talk to for hours. Came in over $300 less than the competitor, work was excellent, and had it done in good time. Highly recommend. read more

Tyerman's Alignment & Brake - Control Arm Replacement - Auto Repair Near Me - Grover Beach, California

I needed a wheel alignment and a friend recommended to me. I had an 8:30 appointment and Gary (sole proprietor) greeted me at the door. We chatted before he went to work on my Tesla. What I expected to be a quick job turned into a 90+ minute job. Gary is a perfectionist and that's a good thing when dealing with cars. Do I recommend? YES! Will I be back? YES! PS. His wheel alignment is 1/2 the price of Tesla's! read more

Reviews couldn't have said enough about this place! What a find! Honest mechanics who talk you through the process and take their time with you. Went in for brakes and they were so much more reasonable than anywhere else! They were busy, so I made an appointment and bright my truck in the next day. Service was fast and well done! I will definitely be back for my other auto needs! read more

My wife and I were passing through the area when our passenger-side front brake started making a grinding sound. We gave Tyerman's a call and were told to stop on by even though it was nearly closing time. An hour later we drove away with new pads. Great service, honest pricing. If we lived in the area we would definitely make Tyreman's our go-to for brake and tire service. read more

My car was having tire issues for a few days , and when I called Tyreman, Nick was extremely helpful and informative, along with quickly resolving the issue and letting me know how to resolve it if it occurred again! read more

Good service and honesty. Had Jiffy Lube Arroyo Grande try to sell me front brakes and rotors, took the car to Tyerman's. He said rotors were fine and replaced front and rear brake pads at a good price. I asked about the shocks he drove the car and said they were fine. Instead of selling me something I don't need. Plus the shop is old school cool. With old school values. read more

One of the best shops I've ever visited! I went in for a brake job for my front brakes, and the estimate was very reasonable. Had my truck back in just a few hours. Gary is one of the most honest and helpful mechanics I've ever dealt with. Super chill, conversational guy that obviously just wants to help you out. Afterwards, I was noticing that my rear brakes were feeling weird. Went back in to see if he knew what was up, and he took off my rear brakes, resurfaced them right in front of me, and put them back on. Asked him what I owed him, he said don't worry about it. This was an issue unrelated to the brake job he'd done earlier, so he definitely didn't have to do that! Stand up dude. Gary, what kind of beer do you drink?! read more

A total recommend! We are on a road trip and had a dash light come on...we don't what the light means nor do we know our way around pismo...the guy at 7-11 told us to go to Tyerman's. Gary was awesome! Low tire pressure. He filled and assessed our tires...it ends up, we have a nail!! And 300 plus miles to go...no Bueno! Gary was super busy with jobs, so he sent us to the next best place, he was so kind and did all of the above for free! He deserves your business and you deserve great service! Go see him! Tyerman's Alignment & Brake - Auto Repair Near Me - Grover Beach, California

Gary is a great guy. Don't think you can go and wait though. There's no waiting room and he's super busy. But he was quick to get my car done. He's got the latest high tech alignment stuff but also double checks with old school stuff. The twitchy steering problem is gone, and I'm sure my tires will wear much better. I'd highly recommend Tyerman's. read more

I would highly recommend working with this company extremely honest and fair. You can tell what type of person Gary is the minute you meet him. I had a four-wheel scooter, not your typical small little scooters this is called the Alfie scooter that I bought from spin life. It's a big heavy scooter. I picked up a roofing nail in my right rear tire and I called the place and Gary said bring it down let me take a look at it which I did. Was on President's Day and he was open. Anyway I can tell you that I got the scooter back fixed within 4 hours. He went out of his way pull out the inner tube and Patch it. I called spin life at the same time that I called these good guys and they still have not gotten back to me. Here I spent $3,000 on a scooter and spend life has yet to be able to provide me a price on a wheel tire and inner tube complete. However this company are professional guys that will go out of their way to help just about anyone. read more

Top notch shop. Super friendly and knowledgeable. They got me in on a Saturday and took care of a 4 wheel alignment. They just bought a high dollar computer alignment machine and I got a printout of exactly what is going on with my car. You can't go wrong with these guys. I'd send my own mother to see them (that is, if she didn't live in Nebraska :-) ) read more

Gary Tyerman is an above and beyond true business man! My son recently had his tires slashed on his truck. Gary took the time to research and find him a great deal. Because 3 of the 4 tires had been slashed we had to have it towed. When the tow truck driver arrived he asked where to take it. I told him it was going to Tyerman's. His response, I love him he does great alignments! How cool is this! A man in a profession to help people takes the time to recognize the talent of another business man, a local business man! Way to go Gary! read more

Got my brakes done here a few weeks ago. He was able to see me immediately and was a great communicator. I was very impressed with the shop. Very tidy and professional. Owner was great. He gave me the old pads to show me the level of damage I inflicted on my brakes. Will be my new go-to place for brake repair (yes, I go thru brakes like crazy!). read more

Friendly, "old-school" style business. Gave me upfront pricing for the service, no up-selling or unnecessary repairs attempted. Gary Jr. got it done quickly and threw in a few "shoot the breeze" style stories for good measure. Very reasonably priced. Will come back for any associated repairs I need. Thank you for an excellent experience. read more

Just had an alignment done in my Bronco since I recently put in a 4 inch lift kit. Gary was professional, honest and very helpful. Great place to go to. Family business which I'll gladly support. read more

Very honest and great costumer service!! Took a couple of axle shafts in to get new u joints since I had them out to instal a locker. Didn't think they needed to be replaced but since they were out I figured why not. Gentlemen at the shop could have took my money and changed them but said they were good and would leave them alone. I appreciate the honesty, hard to come by anymore!! read more

Gary has been the most honest mechanic I know! He is not going to make you fix any unnecessary things that you don't have to and is always willing to help you out even if its a simple fix that you may have overlooked. I only take my car to him! Whether its to get alignments, check for noises, or any road vibrations I cant seem to locate. Good work Gary! read more

I didn't have time to search for parts or service centers. I rarely have time off. I called Gary Friday afternoon to see about brakes & alignment on my 2006 Nissan Titan. He told me that it was going to be tough, the parts he normally uses are the best made, & couldn't get here on time for me to be back at work Tuesday (Monday is Labor Day, no deliveries). He made several calls & found, in his words, "acceptable" pads (as good or better than original equipment) I dropped off my truck & he had it ready for me Saturday morning. The total price was over $100 less than what Nissan wanted for the brakes alone! read more

These guys are really good at what they do. My alignment troubles started when I got my tires changed at a well-known local tire shop. I have no idea how they did it, but my alignment was screwed. When I took the vehicle back, they made it worse. So I cut my losses and started looking for a place that specializes in alignments. Tyerman's was where I ended up. The shop doesn't look like much, but hidden within a fairly run of the mill garage is top of the line computers and equipment that determine exactly what the problem is, and how to fix it. Despite what looked like a pretty heavy workload, they got me in that day, and the job was done shortly afterwards. My alignment was perfect! Excellent job, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Highly recommended. read more

This was the easiest and most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with. He assured I received the highest-quality parts, never tried to sell me things I didn't need. I came in to get my brakes done and he was still the lowest in the area, while using higher-quality parts. I will use this place now for any and every repair that can be done at this shop. read more

I took my 91 dodge van in to have the mechanic look at the suspension. It was creaking and popping when I turned the wheel. He took a look at it and just added grease to steering stop and problem went away. I am going to bring all my vehicles here from now on! read more

I called in the morning, and they were able to see me a few hours later, and had the work completed by the end of the day. The price for the job was much lower than I expected, even for my rather exotic foreign car. If your looking to have it done right the first time, this is the place to go! I am a car dealer on the central Coast of CA that specializes in Porsche. I live in AG and was recommended by a local classic car collector who told me this is the best brake, and alignment shop for miles around. He is 100% right, Gary is a very professional honest guy, he says it the way it is. Every car I have taken to Gary has been taken care of on time, and he has fixed the issue. Thank you for your straight forward way of dealing, I will be using you for many years to come. Pristine Autos USA read more

Had the front end aligned on my 57 Chevy. It was way out and Gary did a professional job bringing it back into the exact factory specs. He was mindful and careful while performing the work on my old classic. I do most everything on my car myself but don't have to tools or knowledge to do a front end alignment. Finding a shop to do an alignment with the proper equipment, that is well maintained ,and doing an A-1 job, is indeed a rare find. Tires wearing funny, got shakes in the front end you know shouldn't be there, front wheel or rear wheel drive, old or new, foreign or domestic, Tyerman's is the place to go! read more
